I have never evaluated Aaron Hernandez, but, as a forensic psychiatrist with almost twenty years spent evaluating violent men and women, testifying in their trials and writing their biographies (like,"Inside the Mind of Scott Peterson" and "Inside the Mind of Casey Anthony"), I would wonder whether the recipe for making a disaster of Hernandez’ life might include traumatic events that were deeply troubling to him in childhood. ..."

I question this procedure of not checking the cells or making rounds for over SIX hours! No staff person saw the window covered? CCTV did not pick up on this? Who was manning the security station?  Find this rather odd.

Funeral

Authorities detail how Aaron Hernandez spent his final moments before committing suicide

"....Family, not football, dominated Aaron Hernandez’s final hours as a lifer in prison.

As the hour of his death approached, the former NFL star chatted on the phone with his longtime fiancee, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez. Authorities say the pair stayed on the phone until the 8 p.m. lockdown at the maximum-security prison where he was serving a life sentence for murder.

Alone in his cell, the ex-New England Patriots tight end scribbled three notes. He laid them carefully next to a Bible.

Those cryptic details emerged Thursday as authorities ruled Hernandez’s death a suicide and turned his body over to a funeral home so his family could lay him to rest.

Odin Lloyd's mother denied access to Aaron Hernandez's physical remains to support her wrongful death claims

Figured it was Bloods, Crips, Kings, etc..
Keep in mind what Brady and others have said: AH would "buy" stolen vehicles in Florida.
He would load the trunk with guns and/or drugs and drive them to Boston area for resale.
He could then say he did not know the guns/drugs where in the vehicle... and he had a bill of sale!
He could say he did not know the vehicle was stolen.

JMO here. I do not think he took his own life.
The notes do NOT allude to that.
Further, lividity had already set in AT THE TIME HE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD.
Last seen was supposedly at 1 AM found dead at 3 AM.
In just two hours his body had gone through all the stages of rigor mortis?
Find that hard to believe.

None of the docs I have read have it WRITTEN the time of AH's death.....
Wonder why the ME or coroner did NOT put that out there IF it was suicide....
I am thinking he got knocked off by someone in the system he had pissed off.

I hate to see the state get hit with a legal suit after all the crap AH OWES to the state due to his life of crime. Still, there may have been negligence if the supervisor violated the schedule for making rounds...

I disagree! He did NOT die an "innocent" man.

First: Courts do not determine innocence. That would be guilty or NOT guilty bsed upon a determination by judge or jury.

Second: He died convicted. A judge decided to overturn the conviction because AH did not have the opportunity for appeals.


Bad loophole, IMO.

Town goes after Aaron Hernandez's estate for $93,000 in unpaid real estate taxes

"....Public records show that Hernandez personally had a debt of $17,640 in unpaid taxes on the property and that an LLC registered in his name had an additional $75,259 debt.

Town Treasurer Christopher Sweet said several bills sent to the LLC have gone unanswered but the estate has been up to date on water, sewer and electric payments.

You're missing the point. The contract was voided because Hernandez was convicted of murder, and then during the appeals process, Hernandez committed suicide. Because Hernandez wasn't able to see his appeal through to the end, he was acquitted by the state (not guilty).

So Hernandez's daughter's attorney is suing the Patriots and the NFL for wrongful termination to recover the balance of guaranteed money on his contract. That's the interesting part, not the CTE part.

And they weren't disappointed. In 2012, he landed a $40 million contract for his third season.

But he didn't see that season through.

In June 2013, Hernandez was arrested and charged with the murder of Odin Lloyd, the boyfriend of his fiancee's sister. ..."


Okay. The lawsuit is against the NFL. But he played sports in hs and in college. Could he not have had a head concussion there that went unreported? Does the NFL ask for brain scans PRIOR to signing of contracts ??????

Per my Massachusetts lawyer friends this is not a final decision. The judge ruled that the type of appeal taken was for extraordinary claims only. The judge gave them permission to bring a normal appeal. ......"
