76-year-old man arrested on human trafficking charges

PINE ISLAND: A 76-year-old man is accused of running a brothel in a quiet Lee County neighborhood. Deputies say he was flying to and from South America to get women and force them into prostitution.

It's no surprise to neighbors that investigators are accusing Chester O'Clair of human trafficking and funding a prostitution service.

"He's out in the front yard talking on the phone all the time talking about prostitution and hiring people and what they're going to do. And some of the stuff is pretty disgusting," said neighbor Dick Grimes.

A month-long investigation by the Lee County Human Trafficking Unit found at least three people were forced into prostitution against their will.

The last paragraph of this article states: We tried contacting O'Clair since he has been released on bond, but no one answered the door at his home.
