It's been almost three months since 3-year-old Aliayah Lunsford was reported missing. Other than right after it was reported, her parents haven't spoken to the cameras. 5 News reporters tried talking to them outside a Lewis County Courthouse on Monday.

Ralph and Lena Lunsford were in court for a closed hearing Monday but neither had much to say about their daughter Aliayah's disappearance.

A WCHS reporter asked Ralph, "You never told us anything about Aliayah's disappearance and many fingers are being pointed at you so what do you have to say about that?"

Ralph said, "No comment."

It's been more than three months since three year old Aliayah Lunsford was reported missing. Three months of searching for the little girl, with nothing found. But a group of people are still looking for her and hope to bring her home.

"It's on my mind constantly. I have a daughter and when I first heard it, I thought, 'I gotta get out there and help do my part, try," said Dennis Mazza of Bridgeport.

Mazza was a part of one of the first search teams for Aliayah. Months later, he is still helping with the effort along with dozens of other dedicated volunteers.

I am originally from WV but currently live in the Baltimore area. I have been following this story closely since it transpired in September. My heart aches for that lost little girl. My grandaughter is 3 and I cannot imagine how our family could go on if she were missing. I have Google news alerts in case any new information is published, but as of today, nothing new really. I search the news every day for info about this case hoping one day I will click on to the West Virginia mainstream media sites and there will be a huge headline saying Aliayah has been found.

It is my personal opinion that Aliayah is no longer with us and Lena and Ralph Lunsford know what happened to her.

Other than a brief TV appearance with her mother, JoAnn, Lena has made no pleas for the safe return of Aliayah.

Lena and Ralph have not jointly made a plea for the return of Aliayah as this case unfolded.

It is amazing that the immediate family have not been involved in efforts such as handing out flyers! The extended family and community members are doing what they can to keep Aliayah's name in the news.

ELKINS - Lena Lunsford, 29, mother of missing Aliayah Lunsford, 3, pleaded guilty to one count of federal welfare fraud Tuesday. Federal Magistrate Judge John Kaull accepted her plea bargain.

Lunsford will be sentenced in six to eight weeks, Kaull said. She faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison, up to a $250,000 fine and restitution.

Lunsford is free on bond.

The mother of missing three year-old Aliayah Lunsford was back in court on Tuesday, but it was outside the courtroom where she was met by protesters.

Although Lena Lunsford's court hearing was not directly related to her daughters disappearance, community members took it as an opportunity to beg the 29 year-old mother to help them find her daughter.

Lena Lunsford was in Federal Court in Elkins on Tuesday asking a judge to accept a plea agreement for charges against her for welfare fraud.
Federal Magistrate Judge John Kaull accepted the plea agreement from Lunsford after detailed questioning to make sure she was competent and completely understood what the plea agreement meant.
"Are you able to read, write and understand English," asked Kaull.
"Yes," said Lunsford.
He went on to question Lunsford if she completely understood the plea agreement, had read the plea agreement completely and if her lawyer had read the agreement to her completely and she answered, yes.
In the plea agreement, Lunsford pled guilty to one count of selling her Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) card in exchange for cash. She also agreed to a permanent disqualification to SNAP benefits, having a felony on her criminal record as well as having to pay restitution for the funds sold from the SNAP card.
Testimony was given during the hearing from Special Agent Christopher Farrell of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Farrell told the court how in the course of investigating the disappearance of Lunsford's child, Aliayah, witnesses told him that Lunsford was selling her food stamp card for cash.
The FBI had an informant meet Lunsford at the Weston Walmart and exchange $50 cash for the SNAP card. The informant then purchased $144.82 on the SNAP card and turned over the items and card to the FBI.
The FBI had all of this on video as well as receipts from the purchase. This is only one of the six counts that Lunsford was charged with but she pled guilty to this one charge.
Kaull also questioned Lunsford in detail if she understood that the punishment that is detailed in the plea agreement is an estimate for a guideline of the sentence and can't guarantee the sentence. She answered in the affirmative.
He also advised her that there is no parole in the federal system and the consequences of a felony on her criminal record and that once the judge sentenced her she could not change her mind and ask for a trial. Lunsford agreed to that as well.
Kaull declared that Lunsford was found to be competent and accepted the plea agreement and ordered a pre-trial investigation for the sentencing hearing that will be held in six to eight weeks. At that time, Lunsford will be able to make statements in her behalf to try to convince the judge to accept the plea agreement sentence.
Lunsford is the mother of missing three year old,Aliayah Lunsford, who disappeared without a trace on Sept. 24.
There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of Aliayah or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in the disappearance of the little girl. Anyone who has information about the disappearance of Aliayah Lunsford is asked to call the West Virginia Information Fusion Center at 304-558-4831. The center can take calls 24 hours a day.

Tuesday marked four months since Aliayah Lunsford was first reported missing from her Bendale home.

Just recently Lewis County community members wrote a letter to law enforcement. They asked for answers in regards to little Aliayah's disappearance, but officers say in serious cases there's only so much they can release with out putting the case in jeopardy.

I have a 3 yr old daughter and I would never stop looking for my dear sweet child! I just wish they could arrest Lena on suspicion of murder. This story has consumed a lot of us.

That is so true, samijo! Any normal parent would go to the ends of the earth searching for their missing child. By Lena's actions, she is 100% guilty in my eyes, too.
It's sad when the rest of the world is more concerned than her parents.

This still baffles me...It's the mystery of who, what, when, where and why... I can't help but think, as most of us do, that 'mom' is involved...After the CA/Caylee incident I just seem to think that way more and more when it comes to toddlers...Of course I can't let the boyfriend/dad off the hook either...Dear Lord I know I won't stop worrying about every missing child till I'm dead and buried...It makes my stomach turn to think of what might have happened to this child...
