Wise As Serpents...

This is an exert from the upcoming book, "Wise As Serpents, Gentle as Doves: Lie Detection for Today's Christian" regarding the case of Casey Anthony. The book is about using Statement Analysis in every day life.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is another example that I will reference often in this book. It is the case of Casey Anthony, from Orlando, Florida.
(Notice the "self hushing" photo of Cindy. She would have been wise to follow the instinct to stop speaking.)
In 2008, police received a phone call from Cindy Anthony, Casey Anthony’s mother.
Cindy Anthony along with her husband George Anthony, had a very difficult time raising their daughter, Casey.
Casey was a liar.
Casey was the real thing.
Casey was not someone who “edited” her accounts in life to suit her needs, Casey was the “true liar”. As you recall, this is a description used to describe a person who fabricates reality. She is an amazing case study as her statements reveal far more teaching about detecting deception than perhaps anyone else’s I’ve ever seen; including President Clinton.
In the summer of 2008, Cindy Anthony had called 911 to report “grand theft auto” by her daughter. It seemed that Casey, who had a 2 year old child, had taken off in the family car and refused to answer her mother’s phone calls or text messages. Casey had also stolen money from her mother, as well as her grandfather’s bank account, money used to pay for his residential care. What transpired next will likely seem incredible to anyone not familiar with this family. Fasten your seatbelt for this one.
Casey and her 2 year old daughter, Caylee, had lived with George and Cindy and Casey said she had a job with Disney’s Universal Theater, as an “Event Planner” and each day, went off to work, dropping her child off with a nanny.
The only problem was that Casey didn’t have a job.
Well, there’s another problem too. There is no nanny, either.
When Casey was first pregnant, she lied about it to her mother. When obviously showing, her uncle pointed it out to her mother, who claimed that Casey had not yet even had sex, no less was pregnant.
Did I mention that Cindy Anthony is a registered nurse?
Casey did not disclose who the father of Caylee was, but only claimed that the father had been the result of a one night stand, in which later, the father was killed in a car accident.
Did I mention that Casey had told another young man that he was the father?
This young man, Jesse Grund, took responsibility to parent Caylee, but when Casey sensed that he loved the newborn and gave Caylee more attention than he gave to Casey, she promptly dropped him. Subsequent paternity test ruled out Jesse Grund as the father of Caylee Anthony.
Casey had been living a life of promiscuity and substance abuse. She was living a lie.
So, each day, Casey would get dressed and go off, pretending to work. This went on, apparently, for 2 years without detection from George and Cindy. George had spent a decade as a deputy, investigating crime. You draw your own conclusion on this one.
Anyway, back to the story; Cindy, who appears violently intense and controlling, got into an argument with Casey over more stolen money. According to Casey’s brother, Lee (the name Caylee appears to be a novelty name combining Casey and Lee’s name) Cindy put her hands around Casey’s throat and choked her.
It was the culmination of terrible infighting since the day Caylee was born, as Cindy insisted that Caylee call her “Momma” rather than “Grammie” and, in Casey’s eyes, loved Caylee more than Casey. The jealousy appeared to reach fever pitch.
Casey stormed off with Caylee in tow.
Caylee was never seen again alive.
In what appears to be a most horrific example of revenge, Caylee Marie Anthony, 2 ½ years old, was murdered allegedly (it has not been litigated to date) at the hands of her mother, Casey, using chloroform, and duct tape
What happened next is a series of events that even Hollywood fantasy writers could not have cooked up. Had I seen this reported in a “true” movie, I would never have believed it.
After allegedly killing Caylee, Casey spent the next 31 days celebrating. Her computer searches prior to Caylee’s death show her visiting web sites on chloroform and various methods of killing. But photographs soon surfaced that showed Casey Anthony partying at night clubs, kissing other young women, drinking, attending “no clothes” parties and even getting a tattoo “Bella Vita” (the “good life”) to honor her new found freedom.

Cindy knows, hand over mouth, Speak No Evil....
She just works hard to prove everyone else wrong. Actions speak louder than words.
