Baez & Cheney FINALLY View TES Documents in Nejames' Office

***WKMG reported that Anthony defense attorneys Jose Baez and Cheney Mason visited the office of Mark NeJame, attorney for Texas EquuSearch. The Anthony attorneys went to look at records of EquuSearch volunteers; the defense had wanted photocopies of the records.

“Twice the judge ruled that the only way for the defense team to see those records was to view them in person at Mark NeJame’s office,” DeForest reported. “For the first time in eight months, the defense finally did that.”

NeJame was out of the office and didn’t want to comment on the situation, DeForest said.

Interesting that JB and CM would FINALLY go to Nejames' office only days before appearing before Judge Perry. They have had eight months and didn't (wouldn't) go. Seems to me as though they are trying to appear to JP that they are actually doing something on this case.

Wonder what else they will "get done" before the hearing next Friday.......

I also find it interesting that they went when Nejame was not in his office..... I, personally, would not trust them in the office alone. I hope someone supervised their visit.

they have done NEXT TO NOTHING for 2 years, and now that a no-nonsense judge has joined their "fun" party, they seem to be moving right along...

i am SURE that they were supervised!! someone had to let them in.. i HOPE they were on camera, and took notes or something that they were SPECIFICALLY told NOT to do, just so they can make a good impression on the new judge..

HAHAHAHAHA! He didn't wanna go in front of the new tough guy judge without doing his overdue assignment! Will he have time to actually depose someone before that meeting as well? You know, just so he can say "we're working on it, your Honor"? kh

Haha, kh!!! It doesn't have to make any sense for this particular defense to try it!! Bet anything at some point, we will see a depo that was taken during the week or so before the hearing..... remember the dates, April 22nd-ish up to and including the 29th......

Yes, it's about time...wonder if they gained any bombshell information to prove their client is innocent.........

I sure hope they were supervised...one never knows who has one of those little espionage cameras...

On Friday, for the first time in eight months, the attorneys visited Nejame's office and were caught on video inside a conference room looking through boxes of documents.

Although the attorney representing Texas EquuSearch said none of the 4,000 volunteers searched the exact spot where Caylee's remains were found, Anthony's defense team wanted to see for themselves. Shortly after Local 6 arrived at Nejame's office, Anthony's attorneys stormed off.

Baez and Mason would not explain why they were finally viewing the records, and it's not known if the attorneys would be returning to Nejame's office.

Nejame refused to comment.

As I stated earlier, they are trying to appear to the new judge as though they are working on the case.... they can't very well admit that, now can they?

Imagine Baez in front of Perry next week saying...."Well, uh, Judge, it's like this...that was deliberate on the prosecution's part...that we had to go to Nejame's office to view those uh, uh ...documents...we couldn't take notes or make copies either...you can see how difficult the defense is about sharing information. By the way, Judge...I, I , I, "

At least there won't be anymore of this in the courtroom.....
