Chemical Plant Explodes and Burns, Evacuation Underway

This chemical plant is 1-1/2 miles from the apartment I lived in before moving in February. It is also the plant where my son, Kevin, works. He did not work today, since Monday is a holiday, and he is not sure if anyone was at work today. Hwy 321 is closed in both directions, and they are evacuating everyone in a 2 mile radius.

Oh, this is awful! Thank God Kevin was not in there, Mama. I hope no one else was either.

The latest news we have is that only the storage unit was completely destroyed, so everyone will be able to go back to work Tuesday.

However, the fire did destroy two different upholstery shops near by, and all those ppl are out of jobs. There are very few furniture companies in this area now, so these ppl will have a hard time finding another job.
