Man sentenced to life in murder of 3-year-old son - Houston, TX

I have followed the Kendrick Jackson case (3 year old boy from Houston, Tx) as it unfolded in 2006 and have been following the trial for the past two weeks.

Our local Houston media have done a great job of covering this trial and Kendrick Jackson's case as it unfolded in 2006. It has been a long journey and the wheels of justice may turn slowly at times but justice was served for Kendrick Jackson today!

Some time ago, I was very pleased to know that Judge Denise Collins is the presiding judge in this case. I know Judge Collins personally and she is a no non-sense judge and definitely has control of her Court Room. She knows the law and knows it well.

If the Defense files an Appeal to the Fourteenth Court of Appeals (Harris County, Houston, Tx), I doubt this trial would be overturned.

If there are any folks from the greater Houston and surrounding areas that read here, you may remember Kendrick Jackson and the extensive and intensive searches that took place in efforts to find him. Sadly, little 3 year old Kendrick's body has never been found.

For your info, Assistant Harris County District Attorney, Connie Spence, the Lead Prosecutor in seeking justice for Kendrick Jackson, is the Lead Prosecutor in the Jonathan Foster case (Houston, Tx).

If you may recall, Jonathan Foster went missing on 12-24-10 and was murdered shortly after his disappearance. Mona Yvette Nelson has been charged with Capital Murder in Jonathan's case and she is scheduled for trial on May 7, 2012 in Houston, Harris County, Tx.

Today has been a great day for Kendrick! Thank you Connie Spence and your team and the jury who rendered a Guilty verdict yesterday and the punishment today!

Roderick Fountain, 37, received the maximum punishment in the death of Kendrick Jackson.

Jurors Thursday sentenced Roderick Fountain to life in prison for felony murder in the death of his 3-year-old son, Kendrick Jackson, whose body has never been found.

Fountain was convicted a day earlier of killing the boy he reported missing on April 7, 2006. Hours after that mid-morning call to police, he became a suspect in the case.

Body never found but his father was found GUILTY of his murder today!

Kendrick Jackson, a 3 year old, who went missing on April 6, 2006, during a week-end visit with his father, Roderick Fountain, in Houston, Tx got justice today!

I followed the trial. Testimony indicated that little Kendrick was abused by his father.

Although his body was never found after extensive searches including Texas EquuSearch searches, his father was charged with his murder in June, 2009.

Roderick Fountain was found Guilty of the murder of his son, Kendrick Jackson, today by a jury in Houston, Harris County, Tx. The Punishment Phase of his trial starts Thursday, October 27, 2011.

The State of Texas did not seek the death penalty but Fountain could be sentenced to life in prison.

For your information, Assistant Harris County District Attorney Connie Spence was the lead Prosecutor in this case. She and her team successfully got a conviction without the body of Kendrick Jackson.

Connie Spence is the lead Prosecutor in Jonathan Foster's case. Mona Yvette Nelson is scheduled to go on trial for the murder of Jonathan Foster on 5-7-2012.

Many Hinky members followed the Jonathan Foster case as it unfolded 12-24-10.

HOUSTON -- A jury Thursday decided the punishment for a Houston man they found guilty in his 3-year-old son's 2006 disappearance.

Roderick Fountain, 37, was found guilty of felony murder Wednesday in Kendrick Jackson's death. On Thursday, the jury decided he should pay by spending the rest of his life in prison.

Kendrick's mother, Keyanna Jackson, told the judge she'll never forgive Fountain and all she's ever wanted is an answer. One day, she said, she hopes Fountain finds it himself to be a man and tell her where her baby is.
