Cannibal killer Luka Magnotta sets up special fan site so admirers can send him letters in jail cell as he awaits trial for dismembering and eating his lover


Cannibal killer Luka Magnotta is being sent fan mail to his prison cell where he has been responding to supporters.
Magnotta, 31, is being held in the medical wing of the Riviere-des-Prairies Detention Centre in Montreal, Quebec as he awaits trial next September for the brutal murder and dismemberment of student Jun Lin in May 2012.
Following the slaying of his lover, Magnotta is accused of having sex with the dismembered corpse before mailing body parts to Canadian political parties.

Mail has been flooding in from around the world for the disturbed killer with a special fan site set up to instruct supporters on the correct way to contact him.
The former porn actor is reportedly being well-fed and gets time out of his cell which he spends sitting alone in a communal area.

Ugh, this somewhat irks me.

What about respecting the life of the engineering student that this alleged murderer cut way too short?

Who should care that the most important thing to this alleged murderer is his appearance and that he likes animal print?

This alleged murderer is just one more murderer that will get a few years and be back out on the streets.  imo

Somehow though I really don't believe that Luka Magnotta will EVER walk the streets again.  I really doubt it.

This case reminds me of the Li case.  That guy was apparently allowed passes to visit the beaches in his area this summer.  He brutally stabbed and decapitated a 22 year old man in 2008.

The poor kid was asleep on a public bus.

I would be very surprised if we don't see sentencing along the same lines in this case.

I wonder if the people who offer their support and encouragement to Magnotta would like to have him mingling in their neighborhood in a few short years.

Seriously, what is so incredibly wrong with some people that they would want to write fan male to this sicko, much less jump through the hoops of using brightly colored cards or animal prints to get his attention...oh, and don't forget to compliment his looks because that is most important to him. Geez! Clearly, there is a need for greater availability of mental health care in the general population, not just the incarcerated population. JMO

^^^ Yes, a very scary thought, indeed.

IMO, getting married while incarcerated for a felony conviction should not be legal. It's just another way to drain the taxpayers and get special priviledges. Of course, that's another story altogether. Plus, this case is in Canada...so, not sure what type of laws the Canadians have in regard to getting married in prison.

As for Scott Peterson, ...he is up there on the creep meter. I remember watching that trial and wondering what the heck Lacy saw in him. Nothing to do with his looks,...just his mannerisms and something about the way he speaks (lies).

Luka Magnotta has received an automatic life sentence for first-degree murder, with no possibility of parole for 25 years. He was sentenced to another 19 years for the four other charges he was convicted on.

Quebec Superior Court Justice Guy Cournoyer gave Magnotta the maximum sentence on the four lesser charges, to be served concurrently with the first-degree murder sentence.
