Macy Grace Ditty, Age 2, Deceased 12/4/15

"....That child, Macy Grace, was covered in bruises and medical staff determined the child had suffered life-threatening injuries consistent with child abuse.

Macy Grace was transferred to UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill where police said it was determined her injuries were inflicted within 24 hours of the child being taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Macy Grace died from her injuries Dec. 4.

On March 23, the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the child’s death a homicide.

The following day, Fayetteville police obtained warrants were issued charging Jeanie Ditty and Keefer.

The next court appearance in the case will be April 14, when there is a probable cause hearing, West said. ,,,"

A mother accused of murdering her 2-year-old daughter contacted a photographer just days after the death, asking him to take a photo of her at the gravesite and superimpose her daughter in the photo.

I have just read about this case in the last week.
They are going to trial.
Posted it here somewhere but the search shows me nothing!
Basically, mother had left daughter with her bf while she went off to play soldier.
He had kept the child in a back building, a barn at her grandparent's home.
They were elderly.
He then badly physically  abused the child. Over and over and over.
Eventually, the child was soon at a hospital but was so badly abused, she was air-bused to another hospital.
She ended  up dead from the injuries.
Both bf and mother are  up on charges...

Freckles ~ Websleuths "http://wncn.com/2016/03/24/2-charged-with-murder-in-death-of-nc-toddler" has several pictures and a brief article posted.  Macy was a darling little girl. She had multiple injuries, and she died on 12/4/15   I did a name search and  found her.  I have forgotten how to bring it over, and apparently how to post links too.  Sorry about that.  Cali
