MOBILE, AL (WALA) - Heather Keaton could soon become the first woman from Mobile County every sentenced to the death penalty.  
That was the jury's recommendation after deliberating for only 30 minutes Tuesday.

Keaton showed no emotion as the jury foreman read the decision.  11 jurors voted in favor of the death penalty,  and one juror voted for life without parole.  Only 10 votes were needed for the death penalty recommendation.

...The jury's decision is only a recommendation.  The judge will make the final decision when he hands down the sentence on August 20th.

So she is the first? Big deal. If she did not want to be the first she should not have tortured and violently killed those two little ones who trusted her! I think a slow death with anti freeze would be very appropriate for BOTH of them. Let it be a lesson for all time we will not tolerate this ill treatment of our most vulnerable.... our precious little ones. I could not believe it when I read how she treated these children. Pulling out the hair of the little girl? Burns? Stuffing in suitcases? Duct taping? Evil. Very evil.
