“Anything that would have been Holly’s,” said Southeast K9 Search and Rescue Director of Operations Chris Williams, “any kind of clothing, anything that would be in a purse, school books, anything like that that we could find, anything out of place.”

Though Saturday’s search found no additional evidence, Williams said it was beneficial.

“It’s not that we didn’t find anything,” he said. “It’s that we got this much more area covered that hadn’t been covered.”

Dana Bobo, father of Holly, said searches have taken place every two weekends on Saturdays and Sundays. Volunteers planned to search from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, as well as on Aug. 25 and Aug. 26.

Holly Bobo's Family Reaches out with New Information

DECATUR COUNTY- Tenn- This week Holly Bobo's parents are reaching out with new information placed on the back of mailings to aid in their search.

Holly first went missing April 13, 2011. Investigators said the 20-year- old nursing student was last seen being led into the woods by a man wearing camouflage around 8 that morning.

Every weekend since Holly disappeared, hundreds of volunteers have combed the woods near the Bobo's Decatur County home with family members searching for clues.

DECATURVILLE, Tenn. - Sixteen months after Holly Bobo disappeared from Parsons, Tenn her family has not given up hope they will one day see here again.

The Bobo family has started to use different methods to keep their daughter's face and name on the top of everyone's mind.

"The urgency to find your child never goes away," said Karen Bobo.

Bobo's mother is hopeful a tip about her daughter's whereabouts may come from the Decatur County Fair. The family's church has set up a both inside the fair's agriculture building. There is a tip box in the booth where people can leave information, with no questions asked.

Weekend Marks 2-year Disapearance Of College Student

(Parsons, TN) This weekend marks two years since anyone has seen or heard from a young college student. For more than 700 days, family and friends have been searching for Holly Bobo who was 20 years old when she mysteriously disappeared from her home in Parsons, Tennessee. So far no tips have led to Holly.

Saturday, the town held a 5K walk, barbecue, balloon release and bike ride for Holly.

Around his family, 4-year-old Stozie is just like any other playful pooch. But the Dutch Shepard has helped sniff out more than 8000 square acres, searching for Holly Bobo.

TBI: Non-profit agency didn't investigate Bobo disappearance to law enforcement standards

NASHVILLE, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has determined that the non-profit organization "Without Warning" did not investigate the case of missing Tennessee woman, Holly Bobo, to law enforcement standards as reported by Nashville television station WSMV which aired several stories during newscasts this month as well as a special documentary which aired May 12, 2013.

While speaking to TBI Special Agents, each member of the private investigative team admitted that they regurgitated information they had heard and read in order to talk about the case on television. In addition, the founder of "Without Warning," Sheila Wysocki, wrote in an email to a TBI Special Agent, "You all have to realize that we have been able to make any story surrounding this case a ratings winner and online success which was the goal. In return, someone may come forward to be the hero and give you all the right information to resolve this case." Each member of the team stated the information provided to them came from the victim's family.

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. -- It's been more than 2 years since nursing student Holly Bobo disappeared.

Her family is now offering more money for information leading to an arrest and changing the conditions for the reward.

...This past weekend Bobo's friends and family handed out 2,500 flyers showing the new reward: $250,000.

$50,000 is from the state and the other $200,000 from private donations.

The previous reward was for Holly's safe return, now it is for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who abducted her.

"Looking for that missing piece, knowing somebody out there holds the key and just begging for them to turn it in," Bobo said.

Search warrant being executed in Holly Bobo case

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is executing search warrants in relation to the disappearance of Holly Bobo, Illana Tate, spokeswoman for the TBI, said about 10 a.m. today.

Tate said she cannot give any further details and can only confirm that the TBI is executing search warrants.

Authorities are currently outside a house on Adams Lane in the Holladay area of north Decatur County. That house is about 15 miles from the Bobo family home where Holly was abducted on Swan Johnson Road in Darden.

"To say we have a suspect in this case would be premature," she wrote in an email. "We have been working leads on this case which led to the search warrant executions. There is no other information about this case that I can release."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) - The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation executed search warrants in the disappearance of Holly Bobo Friday after receiving credible information in the case.

"To say we have a suspect in this case would be premature," Executive Officer of the TBI Illana Tate said in a release.

News 2 has learned Adams was arrested on Wednesday on drug charges in Benton County. He has since been released on bond. It is unclear if Adams is at the home investigators are searching.

Authorities brought two vehicles on tow trucks to the scene late Friday afternoon. They remain parked at the scene. It is unclear who the vehicles belong to or how they relate to the case.

TBI Director Mark Gwyn said late Friday he expects the investigation to continue through the night and possibly for the next several days.

He added that investigators are conducting several interviews in Decatur County and surrounding counties.

"Hopefully we will be able to return Holly home safely to her parents. That's our goal," Gwyn said.

Holly Bobo Case: Owner of property searched arrested

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. (WREG/WBBJ) Multiple sources say the owner of the property searched Friday in connection to the Holly Bobo case has been arrested.

Zachary Adams is charged with aggravated assault.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation confirms search warrants were executed at the property Friday, and a Shelby County cadaver dog is being used in the search.

The TBI blocked the entrance to property near exit 126 off of 1-40 toward Parsons.

Adams is said to be good friends with Bobo’s cousin.
Several cars have been towed away by the TBI.

DECATUR COUNTY, TN - (WMC-TV) - The Federal Bureau of Investigation executed several search warrants Friday in connection with the 2011 disappearance of missing nursing student Holly Bobo.

Investigators conducted one of the searches at the home of Zachary Adams, who was arrested by Decatur County authorities on unrelated assault charges during the search.

Neighbors say investigators searched his property on Adams Lane—described as heavily wooded with at least one well—in the past in connection to the disappearance of Bobo, who went missing at 20 years old.

Agents were also seen from chopper images and sifting dirt looking for clues in an area behind Adams' home. Also, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office has a cadaver dog to assist with the investigation.

DECATUR COUNTY – Authorities have resumed their searches in the Holly Bobo investigation this morning at property along Adams Lane in north Decatur County.

Investigators have been searching a small building across the street from the main house on the property. They have crime-scene tape inside the small building. Investigators also have been looking near a well on the property and searching the woods with dogs.

The TBI has said searches at Adams Lane and other locations may continue throughout the weekend. Investigators have not identified the other locations being searched.

Meanwhile, members of the community have been coming and going in a steady stream at Corinth Baptist Church in Darden, where a day of prayer for Bobo and her family is being held until 7 p.m. today.

Holly Bobo Case: Day 3 of TBI Search on Adams Lane

(Decatur County, TN) TBI investigators manned every possible entrance to Zachary Adams’ property on Adams Lane, scouring every inch just like they have for the last three days.

“They have a reason to be there, got to be something there or they wouldn’t be there,” said Patrick Everett who lives nearby.

From a distance, News Channel 3 noticed and empty equipment trailer in front of the home.

People nearby spotted a backhoe used for digging on the back of it, before it turned down the street.

We placed a call to TBI asking about the trailer, but right now investigators are tight lipped.

They are also making sure no one disturbs anything anywhere close to the property.

News Channel 3 stood near an abandoned home trying to get video of the house across the street.

TBI investigators made us move even though they aren’t there; it’s still part of their investigation.

Bond set at $1 million for man at center of Bobo search warrant (Video)

DECATURVILLE, TN (WSMV) - The man whose property is at the center of a TBI search in connection with the disappearance of nursing student Holly Bobo had bond set at $1 million Monday in an unrelated aggravated assault charge.

Zachary Rye Adams appeared in Decatur County General Sessions Court on Monday after his arrest on Friday hours after TBI and FBI agents began searching his property.

Decatur County General Sessions Judge Rick Woods raised the bail from $250,000 that was set by the county's judicial commissioner on Friday night.

Adams was upset at a reporter who took a photo of him as he was led from the courtroom after the arraignment.

"Don't take picture of me, man," Adams said to a reporter from The Jackson Sun newspaper. "I'm not the one."

Report: Charges to be filed in Holly Bobo case

DECATURVILLE, Tenn. - Charges are expected to be filed Wednesday in connection with the case of long-missing Tennessee nursing student Holly Bobo, reports CBS affiliate WTVF.

Decatur County Sheriff's officials confirmed that a special meeting of the grand jury will be convened at 1 p.m. CST. It was not immediately known who would be charged in connection with the case.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said they will hold a briefing at 4 p.m. CST at the Decatur County Courthouse in Decaturville. Members of the TBI, FBI, the office of 24th Judicial District Attorney General Hansel McAdams and the Decatur County Sheriff's Office are expected to be in attendance.

A Decatur County grand jury has indicted a 29-year-old man on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and first degree felony murder in the case of Holly Bobo.

The grand jury indicted Zachary Adams who was already in the Decatur County jail on an unrelated charge.

Bobo, then 20, was abducted on the morning of April 13, 2011. She was seen being led into the woods away from her West Tennessee home in Darden by a man dressed in camouflage.

Prosecutors say they believe Bobo was killed in the course of the kidnapping.

DECATUR COUNTY, TN - (WMC-TV) - A grand jury handed down an indictment Wednesday charging Zachary Adams with  especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree felony murder in connection with the three-year disappearance of Holly Bobo.

Loud gasps filled the room when the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation made the announcement during a news conference Wednesday.

"Everybody needs to continue to pray for the family because right now is when they are going to need people," said family friend Ann Smith.

The TBI would not comment on any evidence, Holly Bobo's possible whereabouts, or if she knew Adams.

"We believe we can prove she was taken forcefully from her home without her consent. Based on the evidence before us, we feel she was killed in perpetration of that kidnapping," said 24th Judicial District Attorney General Hansel McAdams.

NewsChannel 5 Investigates has uncovered shocking new details about Holly Bobo's alleged killer.

It turns out, Adams has a history of violent assaults against women, including his own mother.

While the 29-year-old unemployed Decatur County man has claimed that he's "not the one," the search of Adams' property over the weekend revealed some potentially tantalizing clues -- including a PT Cruiser apparently riddled with bullet holes.

And court records paint a dark portrait of a troubled man with a history of violence against women.

In 2004, Adams even shot his own mother in the knee at point-blank range with a 9-millimeter handgun.

Holly Bobo kidnapping: Death penalty considered in missing-nursing student case

NASHVILLE, TENN. — A Tennessee prosecutor said his office will consider whether to pursue the death penalty against a man indicted on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree felony murder in the case of 20-year-old nursing student Holly Bobo.

Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation would not say whether Bobo’s body has been found. Prosecutors said they believe Bobo was killed in the course of the kidnapping.

District Attorney Hansel McAdams said his office will review the case to determine whether to ask for the ultimate punishment.

".... Then three months after Holly Bobo disappeared in 2011, Adams was in trouble again for assaulting another young woman.

Rebecca Earp claimed in court documents that Adams assaulted her "by gripping my neck and pushing me to the floor."

As she tried to get away, Adams "was threatening to shoot me so I turned back around," she said.

That's when "Adams pushed me against the truck and got me on the ground and started hitting me again."

Later, as she sat on the front porch of the house that was just searched, Earp claimed, "When I didn't look at him, he would squeeze my head till I would look at him in the eyes. Then, he would punch me across the porch."

She added, "Adams stated that he would shoot me just like he did his mom."

A month later, investigators went back to the farm to arrest Adams and saw signs that the convicted felon was in the possession of weapons and ammunition.

According to a request for a search warrant, investigators said there were "several targets and items that had apparent bullet holes."

"A black-and-white dog walked up and it had a bleeding wound on its side."

Adams' grandfather said "Zach had shot the dog from the porch....."

Based on the bits and pieces I have of the suspect, and the evidence of his priors as well as the bullet riddled truck, I am guessing LEOs must have DNA evidence from the truck or the property linking back to Holly.

The priors! And then the suspect shooting the dog in the side!!!
That last act, alone, the injuring of a dog, should get you the death penalty in the south. You don't mess with a person's dog.

Talk of being in denial! his mother is CLUELESS re her son... the one who shot her in the kneecap at close range and shot the family dog!
Surely she is aware of his past run-ins with the law? Like, he IS a felon???

Humiliation? Also? He is being arrested on MURDER charges!
There is a nursing student who has been missing for over THREE years! Has Cindy Adams been hiding under a rock? Humiliation would be the least of my concerns. Convicted in the public eye? Well, what has he done in the past where no one would vouch for his "good intentions" ?

Report: Holly Bobo's mom taught daughter's alleged killer

" ... Adams was initially arrested on Feb. 28 on an unrelated assault charge as his home was searched in connection with the Bobo case. In the unrelated case he is accused of holding a gun to a woman's head at his home on Feb. 6 and threatening to "gut" her with a knife, reports WTVF.


The Decatur County Board of Education declined to comment on whether Karen Bobo ever had Adams as a student, but did confirm that Bobo taught in Decatur County, where Adams grew up.

According to a woman who answered the phone at Scotts Hill Elementary School in Scotts Hill, Tenn., Karen Bobo has been employed there for 27 years.

According to WTVF, Cindy Adams said her son Zachary and Holly Bobo, who was 20 years old when she disappeared, did not run in the same circles. ..."

"....Cindy Adams told Fox affiliate WZTV her son is "one of the sweetest people" but "got mixed up with drugs at an early age." She also told the station her other son, Dylan, has been behind bars since July and that authorities had questioned him in connection with the Bobo investigation following Zachary's arrest.

"I am not saying that either one of them is innocent, I am just saying that as their mother, I am going to believe my children until proven otherwise," she told the station. ...."

UPDATE: 3/3/14 - Zachary Adams was in court Monday morning for an arraignment hearing on the assault charges and was heard telling a photographer to not take his picture because he was "not the one." I find that a curious statement. Most people say, I didn't do it. My first thought was may he was not THE one, but maybe he was one of several people that had something to do with Holly's disappearance.

Also, according to a court affidavit, the assault charges were the result of Zach allegedly using a gun and holding it to a woman's head on Feb. 6 at his home and threatening to kill her. He also threatened to "gut" her with a knife. ..."

Holly Bobo's family seeks closure despite unanswered questions

Parsons, TN - (WMC-TV) - Holly Bobo's family and friends are trying to find closure, while so many questions about the 20-year-old nursing student's disappearance remain unanswered.

"You can't give up hope, you can't give up hope, even now," said Holly's uncle, Frank Pratt.

Pink ribbons line the streets and roadways in Decatur County, Tenn. On the approach to Holly's house, every mailbox reminds drivers of what the Bobo family's mission has been for the last three years.

"When it gets faded out, we change it and put a new one on," said Pratt about the ribbons that decorate the community.

The announcement about Adams' murder arrest was not the news they had hoped for all these years.

"I don't believe they can ever find any closure if they don't find the body," he said.

" ... According affidavits, law enforcement officials in Benton County pulled over a van being driven by Christopher Bray and Toni Craig on February 24. Officials said the van is owned by Amber Bray, the sister of Zachary Adams' girlfriend.

Benton County Sheriff's Deputies said they found hundreds of pounds of cultured fresh water pearls inside that van. Investigators eventually figured out those pearls were stolen from the family who owns the Tennessee Shell Company in Camden.

On February 26, according to court documents, officers went to a home on Court Street in Camden to question both Christopher Bray and Toni Craig in connection with the stolen pearls. Officials said Zachary Adams opened the door and gave more pearls to authorities he said were stolen.

Adams' comment of his "not being the one" makes me wonder if his brother might be involved. The brother is currently doing time.

There is some controversy re a fb posting Adam posted at 7:39;
Holly's bro stated he saw Holly being dragged/forcibly lead away from the house @ 7:30.
1. Is this fb posting time stamp an accurate time?
2. Can the fb time stamp have been posted at stated time BUT brother was in error over the exact time he last saw his sister?
3. Could the fb posting have been made from a different phone?
We know Holly's cell phone was recovered a short distance from the home... Perhaps, using some pretense, the suspect used Holly's phone to make a fb posting?

DECATURVILLE, TN (WSMV-AP) - Zachary Adams, the man charged in connection to the murder of missing nursing student Holly Bobo, pleaded not guilty during a brief arraignment hearing Tuesday afternoon.

Security and emotions were high as dozens of people showed up just to watch.

Adams, 29, was shackled at the wrists and wore a black and tan striped jumpsuit along with a bullet-proof vest during the hearing, which lasted less than five minutes.

Judge Creed McGinley asked Adams if he understood the charges, and Adams replied, "Yes, sir."

An April 9 status hearing was set.

DECATURVILLE, TN (WSMV) - Thousands of people have helped search for Holly Bobo over the years, and some of them were in the courtroom Tuesday as suspected killer Zachary Adams made his first appearance in the case.

Among those present were Bobo's parents and brother, who have stayed out of the public eye since Adams' arrest.

When they arrived to the Decatur County courthouse, they saw that someone in the past day or two has completely redecorated the square, tying pink ribbons and bows around trees and lamp posts in honor and memory of Holly Bobo.

There is not so much of a sense of relief and sadness in the community as there is a feeling that it is not over. There is a lot more to the case and so many questions remain unanswered.

Holly Bobo's family joins plea to change murder trial rules

The Bobo family spoke publicly for the first time Wednesday since an arrest had been made in Holly's disappearance.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The family of Holly Bobo and many other families of crime victims faced disappointment on Tennessee's Capitol Hill Wednesday after an emotional committee hearing.  

Bobo's family and other loved ones of crime victims came together to support a bill would make a major change to murder trials.

The bill, if passed, would admit pictures as evidence at murder trials.

Bobo's mother Karen told News 2 why it was important for her to be there on Wednesday rallying for the cause.

"It's very important that a jury know who she was when she was full of life, full of joy and had a bright future ahead of her," she said while clutching a picture of her daughter.  

"We need to get this bill passed. The picture needs to be shown," added Bobo's father Dana.

DECATURVILLE, TN (WSMV) - Zachary Adams, the man charged in connection to the murder of missing nursing student Holly Bobo, has been charged with an additional criminal count Tuesday.

Adams, 29, is now charged with a single count of coercion of witness, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Adams, who is being held at the Chester County Jail without bond, pleaded not guilty last month to kidnapping and murder in Bobo's disappearance.

"We will not tolerate any kind of coercion in criminal cases," TBI Director Mark Gywn said in a press release. "But in a case like this, which has attracted so much interest and required so many resources, rest assured we will fight hard to protect the integrity of our work, as we seek justice for the family and friends of Holly Bobo."

Second suspect charged in disappearance of nursing student Holly Bobo

" ... Authorities in Tennessee have charged a second person in the case of a Tennessee nursing student abducted from her family's home three years ago.

Jason Wayne Autry was charged with aggravated kidnapping and felony murder by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, authorities announced Tuesday.


At the same time, Zachary Adams, who previously was charged with murder and aggravated kidnapping in the case, was additionally charged with coercion.

The charges against both Adams and Autry--who has a lengthy criminal history and is currently incarcerated at the Riverbend Maximum Security Facility-- were handed down after evidence was presented to a grand jury.

Autry was charged after sworn witness statements said he was seen with Adams and Bobo after the time of her abduction. Investigatorssaid they anticipate making more arrests in the coming weeks.

“We believe there are others who have information and may have been involved,” TBI Director Mark Gwyn said at a late afternoon press conference. “This sends a clear message that we will be knocking on their door.”

Bobo, a nursing student at the University of Tennessee at Martin, was last seen at her home in Parsons on April 13, 2011, by her older brother, who reported seeing her being taken into the woods by an unidentified man dressed in camouflage.

A small amount of blood was found in the family's carport, where Holly was believed taken from while on her way to school, police sources told FoxNews.com at the time of her disappearance. Despite extensive searches that included bloodhounds and high-resolution underwater imaging, authorities found no trace of the 20-year-old woman, who is presumed dead...."

Attorney: Third man to be charged soon in Bobo investigation

A third man is about to be arrested in the Holly Bobo murder investigation, according to that man's attorney.

Shayne Kyle Austin, 29, had signed an immunity agreement, according to his lawyer, Luke Evans, but now that agreement may be null and void for untruthfulness.

It is a complicated and unexpected turn in a case that is rapidly developing.

Earlier Tuesday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation announced indictments of especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree felony murder against Jason Wayne Autry, 39, in Bobo's disappearance.

Autry is currently imprisoned at Riverbend State Penitentiary on an assault charge, and he is due for an arraignment Wednesday along with fellow suspect Zachary Adams, who was previously charged with kidnapping and murder in the Bobo case.

As first reported by the Jackson Sun, Evans says Austin signed an agreement to testify against the other accused killers in exchange for immunity from prosecutors, but the district attorney emailed Evans that the deal was off.

In a statement to Channel 4 News late Tuesday, Evans said:

"My client takes issue with the state's assertion that he was untruthful and not forthcoming. My client has remained in full compliance with the agreement he entered into with the state of Tennessee. I expect them to honor his agreement. We're set to have a hearing on my client's request for an injunctive relief regarding the state's attempt to breach the immunity agreement next month."

Again, according to Evans, the district attorney's office says the immunity agreement was based on complete truthfulness, and the D.A. believes Austin lied about what happened....."

Moments later, Decatur County dispatch received a second call for help from the same address. This time, it was Zachary Adams on the line.

"Um, yes, I need an officer here at 260 Adams Lane," he said. "Dick, he done choked, put his arms around my neck."

The dispatcher asked who was involved.

"This is Zach and Dick. He's been ranting and raving this morning. He's been choking me this morning. And I ain't trying to hit him. He's just acting a fool," Zachary Adams said.

Ultimately, investigators charged Zachary Adams with domestic assault as well as possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.

"I know what he wants me to do. He wants me to hit him so he can put me in jail. I ain't gonna do that," Zachary Adams said in the 911 call.

It's unclear whether Zachary Adams was on meth at the time of that call in May 2012, but it is clear, at the end of it, he is erratic....."

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. - New details uncovered by NewsChannel 5 shed light on what may have led to the arrest of Zach Adams for the murder of Holly Bobo.

Bobo disappeared three years ago, and earlier this year the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation charged Adams with the crime. The key to the case could be his brother Dylan Adams.

"The brother is now a witness and a key witness in this prosecution," said NewsChannel 5 legal analyst Nick Leonardo.

The brothers lived with their grandfather, Dick Adams, in separate homes on a piece of property near Decaturville. The TBI searched the property in February, not long before Zach Adams was arrested. So what led authorities to Adams and the property?

In an exclusive interview with NewsChannel 5, the grandfather dropped a bombshell: His grandson Dylan told the TBI he saw Holly Bobo inside his brother Zach's house after she disappeared.

"I believe that Mr. Adams' brother stated that Holly Bobo was seen in the house alive," said Leonardo.



"This is but one piece of the puzzle we are getting but it's all coming together very quickly," said Leonardo.

Not long after the TBI arrested Zach for Bobo's murder they said he threatened his brother sending a message through another inmate: "He's the one who started this s*** and if he don't shut his mouth he will be in the hole beside her."

The "her" may be Holly Bobo.

And NewsChannel 5 has learned the "hole" could refer to one of the water wells on Adams' property. The grandfather confirmed there are two: One is 15 feet down to a shallow spring. The other is much deeper. Both capable of hiding a body.

"Absolutely, especially a well that goes down 80 feet. That's especially a place of interest," said Leonardo.

In fact, the grandfather confirmed the TBI used backhoes to dig up and search both wells. There was no indication they found a body. But several sources close to the investigation said they recovered some type of physical evidence -- possibly bone fragments. If that's true the question is: Did the fragments come from Holly Bobo?

"Obviously they are waiting to see if there's a forensic match with Holly's DNA that comes back from the lab," said Leonardo.... "
