Supreme Court Grants Leave to Appeal for Quebec Mom Found Guilty of Killing Kids

OTTAWA - The Supreme Court of Canada will hear the appeal of a woman found guilty of killing her three children.
Cathie Gauthier-Lachance was found guilty of three counts of first-degree murder by a jury and sentenced to life in prison without any chance of parole for 25 years.
The court heard during the trial that Gauthier-Lachance and her husband Marc Laliberte were in financial trouble and had formed a suicide pact.

Why is it that these asswipes can kill their kids/spouse in a homicide/suicide pact and then forget to kill themselves like they said they would?
