Jacob "Jake" Ryan Hedger -- Found Deceased 3/8/2011

At THM some of us were discussing the death of Baby Jake. Jacob died due to blunt force trauma to the head and his parent blame the babysitter while she points the finger at them. Yesterday would have been Jacob's 2nd birthday but instead his life was cut short at only 9 months of age. I have several links here to articles with old and new info about the case.

Edmond parents' lawsuit over baby son's death hits roadblock
Zane and Leah Hedger filed wrongful death lawsuit against their son’s baby sitter, Traci Kramer. The baby sitter, who denies wrongdoing, filed a bankruptcy petition, automatically staying the federal case.

EDMOND — Four years after their baby son was killed, Zane and Leah Hedger still are frustrated no one has been charged.

And they still are looking for answers.

...“The frustration that Zane and Leah Hedger have is that the investigation into the death of their son is not being actively pursued by anyone,” the parents’ attorney, James A. Scimeca, told The Oklahoman on Friday.

In an unusual move, the Edmond couple filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the baby sitter, Traci D. Kramer, after investigations by Edmond police and a multicounty grand jury concluded with no arrests.
