Palmyra police are investigating the disappearance of a 21-year-old borough woman, who was last seen on Sunday.

Kortne Ciera Stouffer was last seen around 3:45 a.m. at her home, 810 W. Main St., according to a release from the Palmyra police department.

Police described her as white, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 115 pounds, with blond hair worn in dreadlocks and green eyes.

She had a tattoo with the words "one love" on her right bicep, another one with stars on her left foot and a third one of flowers and a pistol on her left hip.

Police did not provide any further details about the case in the news release.

PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) - The parents of a missing Palmyra woman are asking for help to find their 21-year-old daughter, Kortne Stouffer, who has been missing since Sunday.

"If you know what happened to my daughter, please tell someone," said Wendy Stouffer through tears. "We want to find her and bring her home."

Lebanon County District Attorney Dave Arnold said Kortne Stouffer's disappearance is suspicious.

Wendy said Kortne is close with her family and would not just pick up and leave -- especially without her cellphone or her dog. Wendy said most of Kortne's belongings were left at her home.

Thursday morning, Kortne's mother offered a $5,000 reward for the person who leads them to Kortne. You can get in touch with the Stouffer's by calling 717-838-8189 or emailing kortneinfo@gmail.com. Anyone with information is also asked to call police at 717-838-8188.

Hundreds filled a Palmyra football field candles in hand during a vigil for missing woman Kortne Stouffer

The Lebanon DA is investigating her disappearance and is calling it suspicious.

We don’t know much from police at this point, but people at Thursday night’s event say a number of young people Kortne was last seen with have been interviewed by police.

Her mom said there are a lot of opinions about what might have happened but she is letting police do their job.

The light from hundreds of candles out lit the moon hanging in the Palmyra sky as family and friends clung together praying for the return of 21-year-old Kortne Stouffer.

“Come home, we just want her to come home,” stated Kortne’s mother Wendy. Kortne’s mom Wendy, dad Scott and siblings organized the event, calling on the community to help.

Earlier Thursday, the DA’s office announced they were investigating the disappearance.

Friends say she went missing after a night out at the Hardware Bar in downtown Harrisburg.

She was last seen at her Palmyra apartment by neighbors early Sunday morning.

The Lebanon County district attorney is calling Kortne Stouffer’s disappearance suspicious, but he won’t disclose why investigators have come to that conclusion.

“We don’t know if it’s criminal or not, but we’re investigating it like it’s criminal,” District Attorney David Arnold said Thursday. Police filed a warrant to search her Palmyra apartment Tuesday, but district judge Carl Garver said he did not know if the search was complete.

Arnold would not say if investigators filed court papers to obtain her cellphone records or other data.

“We’re examining every avenue. I’ll leave it at that, he said.

Although Palmrya Borough police released no new information Wednesday, yellow police tape barred the door of 21-year-old Kortne Stouffer's second-floor apartment at 810 W. Main St. and her car was impounded by a Lebanon County detective.

Lebanon County District Attorney Dave Arnold said his office and the county detectives are assisting borough police in the investigation, although it still has not been determined if a crime has taken place.

PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) - A Lebanon County woman has been missing since Sunday, and there's still no sign of her.

Kortne Stouffer's family and investigators are doing all they can to find her, but they need help.

Kortne's mother, Wendy Stouffer, said she talked to Kortne before she went dancing in Harrisburg Saturday night.

Neighbors saw Kortne come home around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, but that's the last time anyone saw her.

$5,000 Missing “Hippie Girl” Reward

Scott Stouffer calls his daughter Kortne his “hippie girl,” who loves tie-dyed T-shirts, peace signs, animals, the outdoors and reggae music. One of her tattoos reads “one love,” a reference to a Bob Marley hit.

That’s the type of music her family and friends played at a “come home candlelight vigil” in Palmyra, PA for the 21-year-old woman who has been missing since Sunday, July 29, 2012. Candles were shaped like peace signs, and there was plenty of tie-dye as well as prayers among the crowd of several hundred.

Kortne’s boyfriend was away for the weekend and is “pretty broken up” by her disappearance, Scott Stouffer said. Her aunt, Dottie Kipp of Chambers Hill in Swatara Twp., said Kortne and her boyfriend were saving money to buy a house. The boyfriend did not attend the vigil.

It’s not like Kortne to leave and not let anyone know, Scott Stouffer said. She was usually in touch with a member of her extended family pretty much every day, he said. She works for her father at Stouffer Equipment in Grantville, Elle Hair Salon in Palmyra and for a dog groomer.

Kortne Stouffer is described as "hippy girl" who vanished approximately one week ago from the Palmyra, PA region. She's 21-years-old and was last seen in the very late night hours after partying at a nightclub. It's not known whether or not she was by herself or if someone had followed her from the club at which she'd been dancing. This is somewhat like the Lauren Spierer disappearance in the similarity that both women had been partying into the early morning hours before vanishing without a trace. Is it possible that this young woman met foul play? Police believe so as they're investigating her disappearance as "criminal."

Search continues for missing woman

The search for 21-year-old Kortne Stouffer of Palmyra has extended into the Harrisburg area

On Monday, a borough police spokeswoman said there was no further information on Stouffer's disappearance.

District Attorney David Arnold said police and detectives are following a number of leads.

"We're still continuing to work nonstop on this case," Arnold said. "There are a lot of police and detectives working on it."

Police have received several calls and emails from people who believe they may have seen Stouffer.

"We're following up on anything that is coming in, and we have other leads we are working on," Arnold added.

Last week, Arnold said the police are treating this case as "a suspicious disappearance" and are investigating it as a "potential crime." Police put crime tape at Stouffer's second-floor apartment and impounded her Ford Fusion as a precaution in the event that it will be needed for evidence.

Attorney Karl E. Rominger, the attorney who represented Jerry Sandusky in his Penn State trial recently, has been hired to help the family of a missing Palmyra woman.

Kortne C. Stouffer, 21, has been missing more than a week. She was last seen at her apartment at 810 W. Main St. on Sunday, July 29, at approximately 3:45 a.m.

Rominger announced that he has undertaken the matter on his web page Tuesday. According to the site, Rominger is representing the legal interests of the family.

Volunteers, about 50 in all, gathered at noon to search for Kortne Stouffer or clues as to her whereabouts. The Palmyra woman went missing July 29th after spending the night out with friends in the Harrisburg area. She was last seen around 3:45am on Sunday, July 29th. Searchers planned to comb a two-mile radius aroung her apartment on West Main Street in Palmyra. Police say there is no new information in the case.

When I see pictures like this one, of Kortne's dad helping to coordinate searches (knowing he must be so worried he can hardly function, but pulling it together to find his daughter), it causes me to have less sympathy for Isa's mother. I have defended her because there was no evidence against her, and I'm still not ready to say she's complicit in Isa's disappearance. But, it's been so long, and when I see other parents hunting for their missing children, I just wonder why you wouldn't do this day after excruciating day until something turns up.

I'm glad, too, that LE is not treating this like the Mobile police are treating Brittney's disappearance. Mobile, THIS is how you hunt for a missing young person. If they aren't supposed to be gone, you treat it like a crime from the get-go, so that evidence is preserved and clues aren't missed.

The parents of missing Palmyra woman Kortne Stouffer told an interviewer on CNN's Headline News Thursday night that a male friend was staying overnight in their daughter's apartment when she went missing.

Twenty-one-year-old Stouffer was last seen around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, July 29, according to police reports.

"This was a friend of hers," Wendy Stouffer said on the television show. "Kortne thought he was a friend of hers." Scott and Wendy Stouffer refused to disclose the man's name.

More information came to light Thursday surrounding the disappearance of 21-year-old Kortne Stouffer.

Police were called to Stouffer’s Palmyra apartment on two occasions for noise complaints on the morning of her disappearance about two weeks ago, according to Matthew Scott, the family’s spokesman.

Scott said that after Stouffer and a male friend returned to her West Main Street apartment after being in downtown Harrisburg, she got into an argument with a neighbor.

On Thursday, Stouffer's parents revealed on CNN's Headline News network that a male friend - not Stouffer's boyfriend - spent the night at her apartment the night she disappeared. The parents declined to give the man's name.

"This was a friend of hers," Stouffer's mother, Wendy Stouffer, said on "Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell." "Kortne thought that he was a friend of hers."

According to Stouffer's parents, the unnamed man said he woke up about 7:30 a.m. and discovered Kortne was not there, so he left. The man has been interviewed by police, the parents said.

It has been 16 long days since Kortne Stouffer disappeared from her Palmyra apartment.

Despite everything — the long, fruitless searches, and the apparent lack of major breaks in the case — her family holds out hope that someone out there, somewhere, knows what happened to their 21-year-old daughter.

“I feel that somebody has information that would help us find Kortne,” said Scott Stouffer, her father, speaking outside of the family home in Grantville on Monday afternoon.

It is now more than two weeks since Kortne Stouffer disappeared.

Monday night on Headline News host Jane Velez-Mitchell pushed the issue of the search warrant, listing the crime as a kidnapping.

For Kortne's parents, day 16 ended on national news with more pleas for information.

It began with a meeting with the DA and investigators. Now more resources like State Police and the FBI could possibly join the case.

"I was sitting in a pizza shop and I saw her storm by and she looked angry," said Leaton, who had been at the Tom Sawyer Diner in Harrisburg with Stouffer earlier that night.

The search for Kortne Stouffer is ramping up as the days since she went missing continues to grow. Wednesday night, a friend shares a regret from the night Kortne was last seen and the District Attorney defends his department's response.

The reward is now at more than $25,000 thanks to the community. Her family says they won’t stop until she is found.

150 tie dye t-shirts sold in 20 minutes Wednesday. "Help Find Kortne" shirts filled the Grantville Holiday Inn Wednesday.

The Stouffer family refuses to slow the hunt for their 21-year-old daughter. Billboards are up, businesses are pitching in and boosting the reward money to over $25,000.

The only outward sign of progress in the investigation of Kortne Stouffer’s disappearance is the growing reward for information. The reward has surpassed $31,000 as the result of orders taken this week for tie-dyed shirts being sold to raise reward money.

Today, family friend and spokesman Matthew Scott said there were no new developments in her July 29 disappearance. Stouffer, who is blond and attractive and worked at a hair salon, had gone dancing with friends in Harrisburg on the Saturday night prior to her disappearance.

The search warrant revolves around two men who Kortne got a ride with from Harrisburg back to Palmyra.

We want to make clear, the DA says they are not people of interest or suspects.

Investigators filed the search warrant Thursday August 9 for the 2004 Acura used by Milton Rodriguez Jr. The reason listed is the potential unlawful restraint pertaining to the disappearance of Kortne Stouffer.

Rodriguez's father also allowed police to search his home. Rodriguez and best friend Cody Pruett drove from downtown Harrisburg in that same Acura with Kortne Stouffer early Sunday July 29th.

Kortne Stouffer Believed to be 'Forcefully Restrained' in Car

Was Kortne Stouffer "forcefully restrained" in a car belonging to Milton Rodriguez Jr.? It's being reported that a new search warrant has been revealed focusing on the idea that Stouffer was abducted—and possibly by someone she was partying with the night of her mysterious disappearance. Last Friday, a car and home used by the Rodriguez and the man who stayed the night with Kortne were searched. This mystery man's name has finally been confirmed to be Cody Pruett. The warrant is focusing on these two men, but it has been sealed.

PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) - Last week Milton Rodriguez said authorities showed up to his Palmyra home with a search warrant. The warrant, Rodriguez said, was for his car.

"They had a search warrant to go through my car and we left them search the house," Rodriguez said.

He said they took the car for several days to search it. The vehicle is a gold 2004 Acura TL.

Rodriguez said Kortne Stouffer was in the four door sedan hours before she disappeared.

The young men who partied with her that night have come forward, expressing that neither one of them had anything to do with her disappearance. Milton Rodriguez Jr., along with Cody Pruett, were with Stouffer on the night of July 28th. Milton claims that Cody had access to his car when he stayed the night with her, being one of the last people to see her in the early morning hours of July 29th. These new details may reveal a little insight into what may have happened to the missing Palmyra woman, but police on the case seem to be either working at this as quietly as possible or barely at all.

(CBS) PALMYRA, Pa. - Pennsylvania investigators interrogated two men who gave missing 21-year-old Kortne Stouffer a ride to her Palmyra apartment just hours before her disappearance, according to a copy of a search warrant obtained by CBS affiliate WHP-TV Friday.

The station reports that the warrant allowed police to search property belonging to Milton Rodriguez, Jr. and Cody Pruett, who gave Stouffer a ride from Harrisburg back to Palmyra.

The District Attorney's office of Lebanon County said the men are not suspects or people of interest in the missing person case.

I think they obtained the search warrants because the authorities are investigating Kortne's sudden disappearance as a crime, the two men gave Kortne a ride to her apartment the night/morning she went missing, they wanted to know what, if anything, they could find that might connect them to her disappearance, they cannot officially name them suspects unless they have something to support that claim.

But, there have been many instances when the police have charged and arrested individuals who they said were not suspects when they were questioned by the media.

Kortne Stouffer's father planned to appear on HLN tonight to discuss her July 29 disappearance. Scott Stouffer was expected to appear at 7 p.m., said Matthew Scott, a family friend.


Meanwhile, Scott said late Tuesday there are no developments in the disappearance of the 21-year-old Palmyra resident. “There is nothing new coming out of law enforcement as far as leads or anything like that,” he said. Lebanon County District Attorney David Arnold also said Tuesday he had nothing new to report.

Kortne Stouffer's father hit the national airwaves again Tuesday night, trying to get the story out to bring his daughter home.

Kortne Stouffer has been missing since the early morning hours on July 29. She was out with two friends the night before.

One of them, a man named Cody who spent the night at Kortne's apartment, said when he woke up, Kortne was gone.

Tuesday night, her father revealed he had a long discussion with Cody.

He told CNN’s Headline News; “I want to believe him but it is difficult,” Stouffer explained. “I said what if I was with one of your family members, what would you think of me?”

PALMYRA — Scott Stouffer has received dozens of calls from people claiming to have information about his daughter.

One told of seeing her alive. In a cage.

The person described a spot along Swatara Creek. It was near where another person described seeing her walking along the road.

Stouffer went.

“How can I go to bed at night if I know that I heard something that day and I didn’t follow up on it, as ridiculous as it possibly could be?” he said in an interview this week.

Wednesday will mark one month since Kortne Stouffer vanished without a trace from her Palmyra apartment.

And investigators and family members appear no closer to finding out what happened to the 21-year-old in the early morning hours of July 29 than they did one month ago.

"You think you're gonna just wake up, like it's not reality," Stouffer's father, Scott Stouffer, said Monday. "It's starting to set in that I may never see my daughter again. You want to keep hope alive, but it's just so frustrating. I just want to see her come through the door."

Scott Stouffer said he talked to one of the detectives investigating the case during the weekend, but there have been no recent developments.

"They're just running down leads that come in and continuing to interview witnesses," he said.

Police cited two men for underage drinking on the evening before Kortne Stouffer disappeared, Palmyra police disclosed today. Investigators weren’t immediately available to say whether the incident might be related to the disappearance of Stouffer, 21, who has been missing since early on July 29.

Stouffer disappeared following a Saturday night out in Harrisburg that also included a dispute in a bar and an argument early Sunday with neighbors in the 800 block of West Main Street in Palmyra.

PALMYRA, Pa. (WHTM) - Palmyra police now say they visited the apartment of Kortne Stouffer three times in the hours before the 21-year-old went missing a month ago, not twice as previously reported.

According to a news release issued Wednesday, police have filed citations against two men for underage drinking following an incident at 810 W. Main Street.

The news release identifies the men as 19-year-old Michael Burdge and 18-year-old Corey Bowman, both of Palmyra, and indicates that police were at Stouffer's apartment at 9:30 p.m. the night of July 28.

Prayer vigil for missing Palmyra woman, Kortne Stouffer, planned

A community night of prayer for a missing Palmyra woman will take place Sept. 10 at the Northern Lebanon High School stadium.

The gates open at 6:45 p.m., and the prayer will begin at 7 p.m. for Kortne Stouffer, 21, who vanished from her apartment at 810 W. Main St. between 3:45 and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 29.

Since then, local police, the Lebanon County Detective Bureau and the Lebanon County District Attorney's Office as well as Pennsylvania State Police and other local agencies have been investigating the case.

Vigil keeps Kortne Stouffer in the hearts and minds of everyone

It was a night of hope for family, friends and community members of Kortne Stouffer. A vigil was held at the missing 21-year-old’s former high school.

About 200 people gathered at Northern Lebanon High School, they all talked and thought about Kortne. Their purpose was a night of hope to bring her home.

43 days after Kortne Stouffer was last seen, her family walked into a stadium packed with family and community members.

“Everyday is hard, gets harder, doesn't get easier,” mother Wendy Stouffer told us.
