Debbie Maran on Jodi Arias Trial Truth has written an excellent article that backs up what Nern and I posted that proves Marc McGee, the mystery Witness No. 1, was lying about seeing Travis Alexander attack Deanna Reid and his ridiculous kiddie porn story. She also provided some new information:

"Travis was not even dating Deanna in November 2001. He was dating a woman named Linda."

Here's Maran's conclusions:

The unreasonableness of MMc's claims indicates that he just was not being truthful.

MMc did not know Jodi Arias. However, like all witnesses he is subject to the same scrutiny and tools to judge whether he is being honest or not. His stories need to be examined to determine if they could be true and how likely they are to be true. And, his stories did not pass the test.

Deanna Reid was not in the country in January 2001 - she could not have been attacked in 1-2001

Deanna Reid was not talking to Travis for several weeks after she returned home in 11-2001 - she could not have been attacked in 11-2001

Deanna Reid had no desire to marry Travis in 11-2001 -- she could not have been attacked for insisting he marry her

Deanna Reid said multiple times Travis never got physical with her -- she could not have been attacked by Travis

Deanna Reid said multiple times Travis never cursed at her or raised his voice -- Travis could not have said "Get it through your fucking head" to DR

Travis was not close friends with MMc - he would not have told MMc about alleged pedophilia

Travis would have had to write his name on a picture of child porn and not care if all the other multiple users saw it

Travis would have had to confess to using child porn even though there was no definite way to link it to him because of all the other users on the computer.

In the end, MMc's claims may end up helping the prosecution get their death penalty. His allegations are so outrageous in nature and so easily debunked that the jury may associate them to being just another lie told by Arias. The jury may see the ongoing child porn claims as continued attempts to destroy the reputation of her victim, and that will not make Arias appear remorseful for her act in the jury's eyes. It's a very dangerous path the DT is walking because they need to make the jury belief she is remorseful if they want them to spare her life. And, continuing to lie about pedophilia is far from remorseful....."

Someone here had asked about the "expert witness" Alyce.
I stumbled on this and wanted to share it:

".... For me, to date, in either the first trial and in this one, NO ONE has come forward in open court to testify as a mitigation witness. The only exceptions were the "expert" witnesses. Samuels, LaViolette, Forensca (sp?), Geffner, Neumeister (sp?) and John Smith.

We all know that Samuels and LaViolette were bias, broke their professional ethics by giving written material to Arias and transcribing test results themselves, believed a pathological liar, used evidence that was selected by the defense (Arias) to form their opinions and had their own personal agendas for testifying such as money and career gain.

The "experts" in this second trial show much of the same bias and the use of selective evidence fed to them by the defense (Arias). They also believe this pathological liar and buy into the trashing of the true victim, Travis Alexander. The "computer experts" worked with obvious erroneous information that the state tampered with evidence on the computer and John Smith was a self-made expert having no education background at all or experience in forensic investigation of evidence.

So, having these "experts" decimated by Martinez, that leaves not a single person who is willing to STAND UP and testify on Arias' behalf and give reason for her to live.

The jury will note this....."

PHOENIX (CBS5) - The defense team for Jodi Arias continues its push to convince a jury to spare her life by asking the death penalty be taken off the table

They still argue the convicted murderer was a victim of physical and emotional abuse and doesn't belong on Arizona's Death Row.

The trial entered its 27th day Wednesday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Psychologist Robert Geffner was back testifying about Arias' childhood and past boyfriends.

Geffner claims that Arias was in several abusive relationships and as a result suffers from anxiety, major depression and post traumatic stress disorder.

He said that Arias has answered more than 2,000 questions on various psychological tests over the years and all indications are she suffers from mental illness.

Defense attorneys are trying to establish that Arias was the victim of domestic violence and should not be put to death for the murder of her former boyfriend Travis Alexander.

Prosecutor Juan Martinez wasted no time trying to discredit Geffner on cross-examination, questioning his credibility and the credibility of defense witness statements regarding child porn than may or may not have been on Alexander's computer.

Problem:
The DT did NOT enter a defense of guilty by reason of insanity.
Her mental illness was NOT presented at trial as a defense.
The jury did not find her guilty based upon the mental defect.
Too late to try to haul that in and it is improper at this point as that boat has left the dock!

Jury found her guilty of ALL charges.
Jury was split on the penalty phase.
Keeping it straight.

IF DT finds improprieties in this case, they have remedies AFTER the fact. Let the trial resume without these stupid arguments.

(PS. I hope Juan gives DT a taste of their own medicine. He would be a delight to "hear" as HE tries to drag out the case... Laughing
