Why Cindy is her own worst Enemy

In a previous blog entry entitled The Telling Private Moments we looked at how Casey’s behavior seemed to change right around the same time Tony left Orlando for New York on June 30th, 2008. But on the “other end of the line”, so to speak, Cindy showed an abrupt change as well. I believe there is a connection.
As previously stated Casey had a tendency to not answer cell phone calls. Her MO was to allow it to go to voicemail, immediately check the message, and then either call back if she felt like talking to that person, or just ignore the call. From June 16th to the evening of June 30th we find there was on average one or two phone calls from the Anthony home each day. In fact, on June 16th, and again on June 18th, when Casey had her “frantic call” periods where she attempted to get hold of her parents repeatedly and in rapid fire, we don’t see any evidence of an attempted call back by the Anthonys to Casey during those periods of time. Cindy’s claim that she spoke with Casey daily is ALMOST true when you take into account the text messages, voice messages and phone calls sprinkled across the calendar.
But on the afternoon of June 30th, just past noon, things changed. Cindy began attempting to contact Casey very frequently, ultimately getting to less than 1 minute between calls. Cindy would continue to try to get Casey to answer her calls until after 2 am July 1st. Cindy’s sudden persistent and frequent calls shouldn’t be viewed as “she knew something was wrong”. In fact, the change in calling frequency appears to have a rather benign explanation to it. Saturday, June 30th, was the first day of a 9 day vacation for Cindy. She had taken off the full first week of July and, as she has stated in interviews and depos, she hoped to spend that week with Caylee. So for the previous 2 weeks Cindy had played the game of calling Casey, asking her where she and Caylee were and when they were coming home, and swallowing whatever daily story Casey fed her. But now it was time to cut the bullcrap and she wanted Caylee home for her week of vacation.

im not sure i buy the "innocence" of CAs frantic calls to KC... she knew something was wrong... i believe that with every ounce of my soul.
she even posted that "my caylee is missing" on myspace or facebook or whatever... she knew.. she ignored, and then she FINALLY made the 911 call... about the dead body she KNEW had been in that car.
no one will ever be able to convince me that CA did not know from very early on what had happened to caylee and by whom. UNLESS there is proof out there that she is deaf, blind, and dumb... and so far i have only seen proof of the latter..

If the motivation to find KC, was to find Caylee, why didnt she bust in to TL's and ask for Caylee? Why didnt she ask these guys when any of them last saw Caylee? Why did she have time to point out that KC is a thief and wud rob them, yet not even bring up Caylee's name ont time..Not once in that whole 10 or 15 minute ordeal?

AJ, I think you make some good points here..... one in particular that I hadn't thought about. Cindy says she was frantic to find KC in order to find Caylee, yet she didn't ask about Caylee when she got to TL's apartment... she only demanded that KC was coming home.
Interesting.....
I do think CA knew and knew for quite some time that Caylee was gone and KC had everything to do with it. Otherwise, why would she and GA be so frantic to cover for her? I, personally, don't think CA knew before the 911 calls, but I know there are some people who think CA may have even had something to do with Caylee's murder.

Good point AJ....I think Cindy only said that she knew Caylee wasn't there when she (Cindy) arrived to get Casey because their was cig smoke in the air. huh? She didn't even casually ask "Is Caylee here?" or "Have you seen Caylee?" or "When was the last time you saw Caylee?" She just assumed, according to her, that Caylee wasn't there because there was smoke in the air.

Right, Julie, I had forgotten about that.... and we all know it is BS that the Mother of the Year wouldn't have her daughter in a place where there was cigarette smoke, because we heard from KC's friends how she used to bring Caylee to parties and let her sleep there......

i agree fully aj.. she KNEW that caylee was gone at the time of the 911 call... she had talked to KC several times on the phone .. she wasnt missing, that only leaves one person unaccounted for.. caylee..
and i believe the ONLY time CA has told the truth in this entire saga, was that fateful 911 call when she stated her granddaughter was missing, and it smells like a dead body was in the damn car.
she is a nurse, i dont buy for 1 sec that she would mistake the smell of decomp for a pizza. GA knew, CA knew that it was caylee the minute they approached that car in the tow yard, and everything from then on, was a feeble attempt at a cover up. IF they REALLY believed that KC had nothing to do with this crime, they would have wanted to preserve any evidence in and around that car, NOT clean it out IMMEDIATELY.
that alone (the cleaning of the car) lets me know that from that day forward, their intentions were focused soley on impeding law enforcements efforts to find "the truth".

The fact that Cindy is still saying that she believes Casey 100% proves that she is delusional. How very sad for precious little Caylee. I wonder if she believes her own BS?

Every time I watch this video and listen to CA say they never had enough time to really sdit and talk with KC to find out information while they created the MySpace page, I want to throw something at them. I don't know about you guys, but I am able to TALK and WRITE on the computer, believe it or not, AT THE SAME TIME! And with as much time as KC spent on the computer, ohone and texting, I would bet my last dollar, KC was pretty good at multi tasking as well. And if your grandchild is missing, could you sit there next to your daughter and NOT ask constant questions? And IF you could, we all KNOW CA NEVER could!

I've always wondered about those "missing" hours...and the real truth of the C & G involvement in the whole ordeal...I agree with the idea of collusion in the attempt to cover up for KC...They had to know what happened when they found that odiferous vehicle..

I saw that Dr. Lillian Glass body language information yesterday when I was trapped at work. Very interesting and logical. Makes perfect sense.
George and Cindy never set boundaries for Casey, allowing her to drop out of high school, Cindy telling her brother Casey was still a virgin when Casey's pregnant belly was obviously blooming forth with baby Caylee... Not dealing with Casey stealing all that money from all those people all those times.................
Cindy is her own worst enemy. She raised Casey to not have any boundaries. Cindy raised a murderess and now her murderess daughter has come home to roost in the hoosegow!

thanks kh for that interesting link.
i think this woman is a brilliant expert. she is FABULOUS at putting into words what we ALL instinctivly see. it is ingrained into our psychy.
we may not know all the technical terms for the behavior, but we can plainly see that it is not real. the truth is written all over her face.

Re: Cindy is her Own Worst Enemy
Megan ripped Cindy a new one! Go Megan!
I noticed Cindy said Caylee had been missing from Casey since June 14th! That was in response to Megan asking how long Caylee had been missing, like 6 weeks? And Megan's show was 2 weeks after Casey got locked up.
So if Cindy wanted to focus on how long Caylee had been missing FROM Casey only, I have to ask why? And then I have to do some thinkin'!
Cindy had originally told the 911 op she hadn't seen Caylee since June 7. Casey then tells the op she hadn't seen her for 31 days. This was on July 15th so 31 days could take you back to June 14th. So at this point we have Cindy not seeing Caylee for an entire week before Casey started not seeing her. IF this were true, where did Casey have Caylee from Jun 7 -14?
Well, we have Ricardo's statement that at least some days that week Caylee was at his place with Caylee. But Ricardo also says June 10th Casey moved in with Tony L. We have statements from some of Tony's roommates that Caylee was seen there up until June 14th!
The next day was Father's Day, and no one from Tony's saw her on that day or ever again. However, Caylee was with Cindy that day from early on in the morning until at the Nursing Home. (even though Cindy had forgotten this!) It's a fair bet Casey brought Caylee to Cindy either on the 14th or early the 15th. But if so, where was Caylee the night of the 13th- a Friday when Casey was partying at Fusian?
So IF Cindy were telling the truth that she didn't see Caylee beginning June 7th, (and let's leave out her 'mistake' about not recalling the 15th) then what is she trying to imply with Megan by specifically emphasizing that CASEY hadn't see Caylee since June 14th? Cindy is still trying to leave the door open that she hadn't seen Caylee for a whole week before Casey stopped seeing her! I think there's some underlying reason for this.
Cindy isn't wanting to talk about seeing Caylee that week prior to Father's Day. And if the cops had not found the upload of the FD video, I wonder if Cindy would never have admitted having Caylee on June 15th?
So here's my take: I think Cindy knew Caylee was dead before the 911 calls were made. The family had an entire month to make up the nanny story and get over their grief somewhat enough to begin their act. They had decided to say it was June 7 (or 8 or 9 as he story progressed) because they wanted to back up the date to before the actual event of Caylee's demise to throw off the scent. But Cindy didn't know on July 15th that Casey had uploaded the Father's Day vid! And Casey didn't tell her. Casey may have even forgotten she'd uploaded it since she was probably just playing with her computer and it wasn't about Caylee anyway.
Now after Casey initially told the 911 op 31 days, and Cindy said June 7th, Cindy probably figured out the conflict was not good! In deciding who was going to switch their recollection of the date, Casey recalls the Father's Day vid being proof Caylee was alive on that day! So that's when the date got changed to June 8th and Casey promoted it too. Neither Cindy nor Casey realized FD was the next week! So that previous Sunday was good.
After a while there became talk that a neighbor had heard a fight between Cindy and Casey on Father's Day. And while Cindy denied the fight happened, she did not change the date of last seeing Caylee because the neighbor hadn't mentioned a date and Cindy still didn't know about the vid being uploaded. He had only said FD so the 8th was still good except that Cindy now needed to put the fight rumor to rest, so that's when June 9th became the last date Cindy saw Caylee. Casey went with that too! A Monday and the nanny took Caylee then! But all was well in the family that morning.
In the mean time, Casey is telling the cops she dropped Caylee off with the nanny on June 16th and never saw her again. She is going along with Cindy's dates AND still hanging on to her 31 day time frame (since depending on how you count the days back it could still be 31 days from June 16th to July 15th.)But at this point Cindy apparently didn't know Casey was contradicting her date by a week so she was still going with it.
But then in August!...the cops found the vid uploaded on June16th and now knew Caylee had been seen by Cindy after June 7 or 8 or 9th! Cindy was just 'oh I got my weeks mixed up'. Sounds OK, right? WRONG! You can't tell me at some point before August Cindy didn't realize when Father's Day really was! Why didn't she correct her recollection with the cops? Why didn't she want to get that very important thing cleared up before she had to be asked about it?
So after the cops dragged the vid out in the open, then all of a sudden George recalls exactly what Casey and Caylee were wearing as they happily trotted off on June 16th!
Now all are finally on the same page with Casey's original 31 days remark. And what's significant about that?
It shows that in the beginning Casey was not lying about the timeframe when she last saw Caylee but Cindy was! And that suggests Cindy contrived the story to tell that backed things up an entire week before Caylee's death. For what possible reason? My guess would be so as for Cindy to keep herself out of it in any way which included that she probably had kicked Casey out of the house around June 7th!
Here's my theory on the rest of this:
I think Cindy got pissed off that Casey didn't at least let her see Caylee the week between June 7 and the 15th after she'd kicked her out. She used Father's Day and wanting to take Caylee to the Nursing Home as an excuse to force Casey to let her have Caylee for the day. Casey is still pissed at being kicked out of the house so she is not going to let Cindy keep Caylee too long. She goes over there the evening of the 15th to take Caylee back to nowhere land. Cindy has a fit because she doesn't like Caylee being around where Casey is hanging out. There is a fight! Cindy says she's going to take custody!
Here's where you can play Choose Your Own Ending:
1. Casey then takes Caylee away and kills her! (if you choose this one then Cindy couldn't have known Caylee was dead until she smelled the car! And that would not give Cindy much time to be part of the nanny kidnap story)
2. While they are fighting no one is watching Caylee go swimming and she drowns! this could be the next day while Casey is maybe continuing the fight with George. (if you choose this one, then the entire family could have been in on the coverup nanny BS story)
Either way there was a fight that the Ant's don't want to talk about! There was a fight with Caylee stuck in the middle, and somehow because of it Caylee ended up dead.
My vote goes to #2 because I do believe, regardless of how horrid the Ant's seem, if they thought Casey killed Caylee outright and threw her away in the woods like trash I don't think they'd be supporting her at all! I think they are supporting her because they blame themselves somewhat for fighting over Caylee. And I don't think they'd be blaming themselves over it if they thought Casey maliciously killed Caylee and let her rot in the woods. I mean, if Casey had killed a stranger, then yes I can see them supporting her anyway. But not if she killed Caylee! (or else I just can't believe it!)

I do not think CA or GA knew when Caylee died. I don't believe CA knew she was dead when she made the call to 911. However, I think she found out a little later, and then started the cover-up.
None of them are thinking about Caylee, cause, Hell, she's gone now. CA does not want the world to know that their 'perfect family' could have produced a daughter that would kill her own baby. CA & GA are just concerned with what the world thinks of them, no one else.

GA and CA certainly care about more than just what the world thinks of them... they care VERY much about how much $$$ they can milk out of the blood of their "precious caylee"
gotta make sure they both get the mula for the book and movie deals.. NEITHER one of them wants to work ever again... they just want to milk this dry. JMHO

You are exactly correct Randi. I'm sorry I left that part out. They want to appear the perfect family, and soon, the 'perfect rich family'.
After they make all the money they can off that 'dead body in the damn car' they will not care what people think of them.

Re: Cindy is her Own Worst Enemy
I think Cindy did know Caylee was dead before she made those 911 calls. I really do!
She smelled death in the car. She texts Casey "Call me asap, major problem". What problem? Seriously, what problem was Cindy thinking about? And it was 'major' too!
Was it that the car smelled of death and Cindy wanted to know why? Perhaps, but why is that a major problem she needed to address with Casey BEFORE calling the cops? And why wasn't it major enough to not go back to work?
I think the major problem was that the car still stunk after being cleaned and George had alerted Simon B to the smell and talked about hoping it wasn't his granddaughter. Someone outside the family now knew their business and that meant they had to go ahead and call 911 and report Caylee missing, throwing in the fear of Caylee being harmed etc since they knew eventually she could be found dead if anyone decided to search for a dead child instead of a live kidnapped one. The major problem was 'Your father fked up and now we have to call the cops about it so we can play innocent and we have to do it today' just in case Simon B called the cops about it.
I actually think she knew it by the time she made her July 3 myspace entry titled My Caylee is Missing.
Her Caylee was not missing. She may have been missing her Caylee, since according to Cindy she thought Casey was just not letting her see her Caylee, but she was not missing per se.
There's a subtle difference between Caylee being missing and missing Caylee from not being allowed to see her. Here's the contradiction in that subtle difference....Caylee can't be missing if Casey has her and is keeping Cindy from seeing her, and the body of Cindy's myspace entry suggests that very thing. The entire entry is double-speak and I think it was intentional in typical Anthony half-truths.
She could have titled her entry My Caylee is Missing From My Life, and I'd not question it. That would support the context of the entry that Casey was simply keeping Caylee from Cindy and Cindy had no idea anything was wrong. But saying Caylee is missing when she wasn't at that point - as far as notifying the cops of it goes, suggests no one knew where she was. And Cindy suggests in that entry that Casey does know and just won't tell her. So she's not missing per the myspace entry! However, in actuality she is! So something happened at that time that made Cindy start trying to play innocent.
There's another telling thing about that myspace entry. It's where Cindy rhetorically asks, Who is watching out for Caylee now? Well, it obviously wasn't Casey at that point or Cindy wouldn't have wondered who was watching out for her, so at this point she knew Casey didn't have her with her. And it obviously wasn't Zanny who Cindy claimed to know sat Caylee for so long and who was supposed to be keeping her in those days, so at this point she also knew Zanny didn't have her with her. So where did Cindy think Caylee was that no one was actually watching her?
If I wanted to get cryptic, and I do, LOL....I'd guess Caylee had been buried in the backyard so she'd always be with them and they could 'watch over her' and make sure no one ever found out she was dead, and was moved just prior to July 3 and that's what Cindy meant by Caylee being missing. Casey probably removed her from the backyard where she was supposed to stay forever because she didn't trust her parents. And now Cindy couldn't watch her to make sure all was well as far as anyone ever finding out she was dead.
Then the major problem was that Simon B was drawn into the equation by George and they had lost any hope of Caylee never being found since Casey had taken her somewhere else other than the safe backyard and refused to tell Cindy where Caylee was dumped.
This has a few holes in it, but I tend to think the truth lies somewhere along those lines.
