Farmer said Monday that 17-month-old Antione Dixon died Sunday at Kosair Children's Hospital of blunt-force trauma to multiple parts of his body. The child, who lived in the 3600 block of Georgetown Place, was first hospitalized Wednesday and died over the weekend after he was removed from life support.
Louisville Metro Police are investigating, but have not charged anyone, said Lt. Barry Wilkerson, head of the homicide unit.
Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said Kosair officials notified police Wednesday that Antione had been brought to the hospital with severe injuries that did not appear to be accidental.
Mitchell said Emergency Medical Services was called about 3 p.m. Wednesday by staff at Little People's Child Care on Berry Boulevard, who reported the child as being unresponsive after his mother brought him to the day care center that day.

So this mother apparently took her baby, with INJURIES, to the day care center and left him there?
