The 29-year-old father of an infant found slain in a south Beacon Hill home this week has been charged with two counts of aggravated first-degree murder, according to court documents.

Both the baby girl and her mother were found dead Tuesday morning at a home in the 1300 block of South Ferdinand Street.

Police still are searching for Daniel Thomas Hicks, whose photo was released by investigators Tuesday afternoon in attempt to locate him. Charges were filed Thursday.

"Daniel Thomas Hicks, the 'person of interest' in the Beacon Hill homicide, is now considered a suspect in this murder. There is no additional information on this investigation, other than it is an active and on-going homicide investigation. Anyone who sees the suspect is urged to call 911 immediately,"Seattle police said in a statement posted on the department's Web site.

The woman's mother discovered the scene just after 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, returning home to find her daughter and granddaughter dead.

Speaking to KOMO/4, friends of the woman said she and Hicks had been dating for nine years and had talked of marriage.

"I would have never thought in a million years this would happen," friend Bianca Robinson told KOMO. "I know she was happy to be a mom. I thought he was happy to be a dad."

Detectives believe Hicks may be driving a white 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck with license plate A68135Z, according to a police statement.

Police have cautioned that Hicks should not be approached if located, as he's believed to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information may call 911. Tips can also be made to Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-222-TIPS, or by text messages at CRIMES (274637). Text messages should include TIP486 in the message.

Tips to Crime Stoppers leading to an arrest and the filing of charges may qualify the tipster for a $1,000 reward.
