Let's Talk Anthony's Defense Attorneys

I posted this article in another thread but I want to point out something here regarding the 'scheme team' that is currently representing KC. The bolded section below is a quote from this article.

Baez would not talk about his alleged nickname among his defense team, Juanny Cochran, because they all have direct or indirect ties to the late Johnny Cochran, who put together OJ Simpson’s winning defense team..

A source told Eyewitness News that Baez helped Cochran with research on a case years ago and that connection brought him evidence expert Henry Lee, Linda Kenney Baden, Andrea Lyon and Todd Macaluso. Even his lead investigator, Eyewitness News was told, was the lead investigator on the OJ case.

OK, let's dissect this for just a minute.

Henry Lee - testified in favor of O.J. Simpson, Phil Specter, Michael Jackson and Robert Blake
Linda Kenney Baden - one of Phil Specter's attorneys in his first trial
Todd Macaluso - on the O.J. Simpson 'Dream Team'
Andrea Lyon - on the O.J. Simpson 'Dream Team'

And now we find out that Bozo's lead investigator was a part of the O.J. 'Dream Team'.

And apparently, Bozo's nickname amongst his cohorts is "Juannie Cochran" due to his connection to the late Johnnie Cochran., who as we all know, was lead attorney on the O.J. Simpson case.

OK, here's my point to all of this. I know that each of the aforementioned defendants were acquitted of their crime (Specter was finally convicted in a subsequent trial)...... but many people believe that they were guilty and their money is what helped them walk. We all know KC doesn't have any money, but somehow the bills for Bozo and company are being paid.

It seems that these defense attorneys/experts have all done their level best to defend and set free at least one guilty person, if not more. Does that say anything to you, personally, about the moral compass of the members of the 'scheme team'? It just feels so wrong to me that they use their expertise to defend guilty people for the SOLE PURPOSE of getting them acquitted.

Whatever happened to wanting justice? I know everyone is entitled to a defense, but if a person is truly guilty, should they be able to walk away from their crime because they have "experts with famous names" doing all they can to cast doubt on their guilt?

This is something that just bothers me tremendously. I wish we could live by the old saying, "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime." WHY should a guilty person be allowed to be free to live their life as though nothing ever happened? What about the victims? Don't they count?

Grrrrr. I hate when rich people don't have to pay for their crimes. And as for how is KC paying her bill, that bothers me, too.

Fantastic post, Snaz! I feel exactly the same way that you do. This is just another example of why people have such a strong dislike for Criminal Defense Attornies. More often than not, they defend the "scum of the earth". Anyone who kills a child is a perfect example. This is extremely upsetting to me too. Let's keep praying that there will finally be justice for Caylee against all odds.

I agree with everything said in this thread so far. I have always had similar feelings about these defense attorneys who help murderers get off the hook. My brother-in-law and his wife are studying to become lawyers and I asked them how these defense lawyers can live with themselves after using any means necessary to help a killer be found not guilty. They pretty much said that every American citizen is entitled to the best defense possible. Of course we know that it doesn't work that way, and that the wealthy usually buy themselves a way better defense than a normal person can afford. It is very puzzling that KC can afford such a high powered defense.

That being said, I am more confident than most that KC will be convicted. There is too much circumstantial evidence. She did not appear to be bothered at all by the fact that her daughter was missing. I don't see how a jury can look at everything pointing to KC and have enough doubt cast in their minds to let her walk.

Oh, I agree with you 100%, J4A!!!! KC is going down!!!!!!! And I can't wait to watch it happen..... only then will poor little Caylee ever find justice.

Awaiting.... I agree with you on both accounts... Bozo's ethics do leave a lot to be desired... I have yet to decide how much respect I have for AL.... I have to see her in action a little more first.... I mean, she's already said KC is "innocent" versus "not guilty"..... who in their right mind really believes KC is INNOCENT????

The other thing I agree with is about KC escaping the DP..... I'm glad the prosecution is going for the DP.... I hope it scares the living crap out of KC, but if AL is able to get her out of the DP... I can live with KC living the rest of her natural life in prison with no possibility of parole. After all, she is only 23. Can you imagine the promiscuous party girl not having any parties, sex, love, etc. to look forward to FOR THE REST OF HER LIFE????? Except, of course, Big Bertha!!!! Hahaha!!!

I agree that I like that the state is going for the DP. However, I also think for KC a lifetime in prison will be horrifically scary for her. Inmates do not take kindly to baby killers. There will not be a lifetime of protection for her. And I hope she is sent to a prison far from anyone in her family. So, she cannot have visitors often. The one thing I will not like about her escaping the death penalty though, is that we may have to continue hearing about her for years and years to come. UGH! That's punishment for the people if you ask me.

Awaiting, now if we can just get the rest of the Ant family to fade into oblivion. Wouldn't it be nice to never have to hear any of their names or see any of their ugly mugs ever again? Because if the Ants get their way, they will still be plastered all over everything promoting their fake foundation and making a living off of their dead grandaughter.... the one their daughter murdered.
