Jose Baez Home in Foreclosure

Seems JB's home is in foreclosure.... soon as there is something to post (actually, soon as I figure out how to post it)... I will post it.

wow!!

Apparently, he has two homes... one with a mortgage of $603,000 (that's the one in foreclosure) and a smaller, less expensive one (probably a rental)......

Per zillow.com, the house he paid $670K for in 2007 is now only worth $348K, so he may be letting this one go on purpose....

Do a search by his name.....the house in question is the one on Water Lilly... the one on Woodstream is, I believe, possibly a rental....

I can understand this since he's definitely not getting rich representing KC...plus this will help him in not being able to make his child support payments...When will he file for foodstamps and bankruptsy...

Now I'm reading that his home may possibly have been sold..... so maybe he skirted this one.....

Guess we'll have to wait to find out for sure.

Maybe he will donate some funds to his favorite (only) client's commissary fund.

OK, scratch that.... the home is NOT sold... and it IS in foreclosure.......

The sold listing was determined to be from when JB purchased the home.....

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The financial fallout from the case against Casey Anthony could cost lead defense attorney Jose Baez his home.

Foreclosure documents indicated Baez owes more than $650,000 to creditors. Baez said he blames his foreclosure on the real estate downturn.

Baez purchased his lakefront home three years ago for $670,000. On Wednesday, he admitted it's only worth about half of that amount.

Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez faces foreclosure

The Osceola County home of Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez is in foreclosure proceedings in court, the now well-known defense attorney confirmed this afternoon.

Osceola County Clerk of Courts online records also confirmed the foreclosure case, listing it as a foreclosure involving $250,001 or more. The foreclosure complaint was filed May 12, according to the online records.

When asked about the foreclosure case, Baez said, "I think it's personal."

"It has nothing to do with my case, my business and anything that has to do with Casey Anthony," he said. "I'll probably keep the house, even though it's worth half of what I owe."

I think the economy has hit everyone, including atty's. Bozo is losing his home, hasn't made a payment since last Sept. I don't think the Ant's have made a payment since May 2008. I don't understand this, that is 2 months before the Caylee incident and supposed CA & GA were working.

My daughter just paid over $8,000 to her atty for a divorce and custody hearing, and her atty is still adding up charges for Nicole to come talk to her about her papers being filed incorrectly with the child support ppl, to try to get it corrected. They turned the paperwork in @ $146 a month less than what was supposed to be paid. In order to get this corrected, she has to pay her atty more money, which we don't have.

Her atty is now giving up her private practice, and going to work for the courts as an appointed atty for ppl who can't afford to pay for one. At least she will be getting paid by the state.

The Anthonys stopped making making payments on their house in June, 2009. Jose stopped making payments in September, 2009.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The lead defense attorney in the case against Casey Anthony is having money problems. Just like many others in Florida, Jose Baez may lose his $670,000 Kissimmee home. His home is currently in foreclosure, according to court records in Osceola County.

This isn't the first time Baez has had financial problems. The first time around, it kept him out of the Florida Bar Association, but there's no indication that the foreclosure will affect his standing with the Florida Bar.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A key deposition is under way in the case against Casey Anthony.

After Kronk's first session, Anthony’s defense filed paperwork suggesting the man who found Caylee's Anthony's remains should have been investigated as a suspect.

"Anything that we would be trying to do here would be focusing on establishing reasonable doubt for various aspects of the case," Anthony defense attorney Cheney Mason said before the deposition.
