Hearing, Friday, 12/10/10, 5:00 p.m.
From the court docket:
12/09/2010 Notice of Hearing
12/10/10 @ 5:00 pm
Apparently, Judge Perry has scheduled a hearing for tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. Guess he wasn't kidding when he said they would be working nights and weekends......
I'm sure the usual news media will pick it up....
Will be interesting to see what this is all about. Maybe it is to clarify for Baez that he DOES have to provide to the prosecution the subject matter of his defense expert witnesses... something JB should have already understood from the last hearing, but apparently does not given that he is being an a$$ about providing the information to Ashton.

Snaz~ Is this a regularly scheduled hearing? I think it is probably about the JAC tellin JB to stuff it. In a perfect world, it would be about blowing the lid off the rumored "defense planting evidence" scandal! Or perhaps they have tampered with more witnesses? kh

That is exactly what the hearing is about tomorrow. State's motion is at the bottom.
Casey Anthony scheduled for Friday court hearing
Last Updated: Thursday, December 09, 2010 5:56 PM
ORLANDO -- Casey Anthony is expected to appear in an Orange County courtroom Friday as the judge in the case hears a motion filed last week.
The controversy comes after the court last week ordered Anthony's defense team to provide prosecutors with information about the subject matter of planned expert testimony. Since then, the disagreement arose about just how detailed that information needs to be.
The motion filed by the state contains an e-mail exchange between Anthony's lead attorney, Jose Baez, and Assistant State Attorney Jeffrey Ashton. It is that exchange that is the apparent source of the controversy.
The motion asks the court to "clarify its order," and compel the defense to provide additional information on witnesses.
"It is the State's position that, despite protestation to the contrary, the defense is attempting to avoid compliance with the court's mandate," the motion states.
The hearing is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday. Casey Anthony is expected at the hearing, according to the courthouse.

kh, no, this is not a regularly scheduled hearing..... the State is trying to get JB to provide the subject matter for each of his expert witnesses like he was ordered to at the last hearing.... JB has been playing games.

Well, it looks like today's hearing is all about the defense not turning over info about their expert witnesses to the prosecution. The snarky and juvenile Email Jose sent to the State about this info did not help their case.
Prediction #1: Judge Perry is gonna be pizzed. At both sides. And he's gonna come down hard on em.
Prediction #2: Everyone is gonna start working a lot of nights and weekends to get this show on the road- whether they want to or not.

Did anyone read about Zenaida being on the state's witness list? That's going to be interesting.

Looked like Bozo couldn't stop himself from "leaning" toward Casey during most of this hearing. He is so unprofessional the way he wriggles and fidgets, and swivels around in his chair. I wish Judge Perry would smack him down for his child-like bad boy behavior in the courtroom.
Casey walked into the courtroom with a big smile and a mouthy "Hi", playing to the cameras. She couldn't resist fidgeting with her hair. I bet when trial time finally gets here either that hair will be tightly braided or forcefully shortened. How can that momster preen when she is on trial for murdering Caylee.
Good to see Sindy looking like crap. Strange, she wasn't preening for the cameras today. Georgie must have been busy shopping for new gas cans and duct tape.
Sorry for the rant! These people make me want to puke.

For anyone who missed this hearing, here is the video link.
Jose, once again, cut of his nose to spite his face. He is one unhappy azz clown today I am sure.
I noticed a bailiff stationed between the attorneys and the gallery. Is this new? I had never seen one there before?

Judge: Both Sides Must Give Expert Info In Casey Case
Updated: 6:35 pm EST December 10, 2010

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Judge Belvin Perry wasted no time handing down his order over expert testimony in the case against Casey Anthony, applying the same rules to both the prosecution and defense.

Casey Anthony was in court Friday for the 5:00pm hearing in the fight over her defense team's expert witnesses. While 5:00pm was an unusual time for a court hearing, it was the only time everyone could agree on.
~Snipped~
But Judge Perry wasn't going to waste much time on the back and forth bickering over the subject and issued an order that applies to both sides.
"Since ya'll can't seem to agree and can't seem to understand what I meant the last time. This is what I'm going to do," Judge Perry said less than 15 minutes into the hearing. "Where experts have not prepared reports of examinations or tests, both the state and the defense are required to provide the following … the expert's curriculum vitae, qualifications of experts, the expert's field of expertise or medical specialty, a statement of the specific subjects upon which the expert will testify and offer opinions, the substance of the facts to which the expert is expected to testify, and last but not least, a summary of the expert's opinion and grounds for each opinion … All of this must be completed by 3pm on December 23."
