I don't see why the witness list can't be sealed until the penalty phase is scheduled to take place...

Re: CASEY ANTHONY HEARING 12/20/2010
I'm hearing that Casey could lose her case based on the fact that (magician) Dr. Lee won't testify based on the fact that he would have to pay for his transport fees from Connecticut to Florida.........................................
Why won't George and Cindy fork over the (illgottengains) dough to get Dr. Lee to testify?
From what I've been reading, if Dr. Lee doesn't show up with his bullshit forensic evidence to scuttle the jurors' minds (and hopefully find one) to find reasonable doubt, Casey is going to be found guilty (of the murder for which she is guilty of).
Can't George sell some used cars or win at some gambling tables, enough to get Dr. Lee from Connecticut to Florida? To save Casey's ass?

Hi kh...I thought when I read the above motions that it was a joke...THEN I read the articles by WESH, WFTV and another station and Orlando Sentinal...Good golly Miss Molly, why don't we just drop the whole case...say it never happened...there never was a Caylee...She was just a figment of Casey's imagination and this is all just one bad dream....Nah...that would be too easy...We all know Casey will NEVER take the stand...We will NEVER hear the truth, and if we did, would we believe it??? The time is coming, just like Christmas, when we can hear all the experts try to confuse the jury and everyone else...All the jargon of scientific knowhow, does it really amount to a hill of beans??? All I can say is one beautiful little child no longer is amongst the living and more than likely was brought to her demise either accidently or on purpose by her own mother...How she died is a mystery, even Dr. G couldn't tell and I doubt all the experts will be able to deciphyr it...Bring it on Baez...We are waiting....

Casey Anthony team files motions to throw out irrelevant evidence

ORLANDO --
Casey Anthony’s defense team filed six new motions Tuesday, all aimed at keeping possible evidence out of the courtroom.
Anthony’s attorneys said they are focused on testimony about her sexual relationships.
Detectives interviewed two men who claimed to have had sexual relations with Casey, asking them questions like “How was she?”
Defense attorneys said that line of questioning is irrelevant to the case, and could create unfair prejudice against their client, who is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.
The defense said it also wants to block testimony from Casey’s father, George Anthony, who at one point said his daughter had a history of lying and stealing.
Those statements, according to Casey’s lawyers, are also not relevant to the case against her.
Other evidence the defense said is irrelevant include a table knife found in Casey’s car, and a shovel she borrowed from a neighbor while Caylee was still missing.
There has been no forensic evidence that the knife was used to kill Caylee or cut the duct tape found on her remains.
As for the shovel, Casey had told her neighbor she needed to dig up a bamboo root that she had tripped over in her backyard.
Cadaver dogs eventually picked up a scent in the backyard, but the defense said there was no evidence that she used or intended to use the shovel to commit a crime.
The defense team has asked for a hearing and response from the state of Florida on their six motions, and could even renew them when the trial starts in May 2011.

I loved the hearing the other day. Ann Finnell made a statement that "with technology in 2010, the hearing was streaming live via the internet all over America".
Now of course, I was watching it streaming live in CANADA and I had to wonder, has no one explained to Ms Finnell that the World Wide Web is world wide?

I'm sure that when they voir dire the prospective jurors the question will be asked if they have computer access...Surely not everyone has a computer with the web, not everyone reads the newspapers nor watches TV news...Some women are kept barefoot and prego and in the kitchen...Not to be disrespectful...but I do believe that an impartial jury is out there somewhere...

Judge Holds Off On Ruling On Casey Witness List

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony was in court Monday afternoon where her lawyers fought to keep the witness list in the death penalty phase of the trial from being made public.

The defense previously failed to get Judge Perry to seal its death penalty witness list by order, so Monday Casey's lawyers tried to make convincing arguments to keep that list secret from the public.
The defense says some of Casey's relatives in Ohio and others, who have known her and her family since she was a child, don't want to help her stay off death row if she's convicted of murdering her daughter, Caylee Anthony, because they don't want to be contacted or covered by the media.
"We're worried that death penalty witnesses will be reluctant to come forward once it's time," defense attorney Ann Finnell argued Monday.
The defense says it has 50 witnesses who it plans to call on her behalf if she's convicted. Prosecutors have the list and will get the chance to depose the witnesses. But the defense wants to keep them and the information they would provide secret from the public, unless it becomes necessary if Casey's found guilty.
