Casey Anthony trial to resume after short day
Last Updated: Tuesday, June 14, 2011 5:47 AM
ORLANDO --
The murder trial of Casey Anthony, who's accused of killing her daughter, will resume in a Central Florida courtroom with the prosecution close to wrapping up their evidence presentation.
Court recessed early on Monday with the state calling only a pair of FBI forensics experts. The reason for the early dismissal was because the prosecution's next witness isn't scheduled to arrive in town until early Tuesday afternoon.
The trial will resume at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
State attorneys say they're ahead of schedule and the defense could be able to call its first witness Wednesday.

Day 18: Casey's Tattoo Artist Called As State's Final Witness
Jurors Hear From Artist, Casey's Mother, Investigators
UPDATED: 6:21 pm EDT June 14, 2011
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The prosecution called its final witness in its case against Casey Anthony on Tuesday afternoon.
Jurors heard from Bobby Williams, the tattoo artist who inscribed Anthony with the words “bella vita” in July 2008.
Prosecutors allege the tattoo, which means beautiful life, is a celebration of Anthony’s freedom after the death of her daughter.
Williams testified that Anthony appeared happy and did not appear to be grieving a missing daughter.
The defense alleges the tattoo is a memorial to Caylee.
“The real issue is the tattoo could mean anything,” said Orlando criminal defense attorney Richard Hornsby, who provides legal analysis for WESH 2 News.

WFTV Duct Tape Video Used As Evidence In Casey Trial
Updated: 7:26 pm EDT June 14, 2011
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Evidence uncovered by WFTV was used on Tuesday, during the Casey Anthony's murder trial by the state, who says it's the murder weapon that killed Caylee Anthony.
Casey walked into the courtroom at about 12:50pm, wearing a white sweater and grey pants, and her hair was in a ponytail. Her father, George Anthony, was also in the courtroom and her mother, Cindy, testified again.

Late Tuesday afternoon, the state used WFTV's video of the rare duct tape from the Anthony family garage as evidence. Tuesday marked day 29, including jury selection, of Casey Anthony's murder trial.
It's one of the last things the state is showing the jury as it gets ready to rest its case in Casey Anthony's murder trial.
The state says the video is important because investigators did not find the rest of the roll at the Anthonys' home, so WFTV's video strengthened the connection between Casey and Caylee's remains.
During her testimony on Tuesday, Cindy Anthony helped prosecutors tie that evidence to the family by dropping a bombshell about a fourth bag missing from their garage.

Re: Case Anthony Trial Day 18: Prosecution May Rest By Wednesday, Defense To Call First Witness
I have to throw this out because that's what I do.
The tattoo artist said KC told him she was coming back in on the 19th with a friend and both of them were getting tattoos, right?
OK....since you all haven't had the 'good luck' to have grown up with a person just like KC...let me tell you another sociopath/narcissist habit...
Whenever they don't get their way, it doesn't matter how long it takes, but sooner or later they will rewrite the circumstance to where they do win....of course it will be a lie, but to them they need it so they don't feel like they lost something, and then they actually believe their own lie so all is well....my fake mom did this so many times, and sometimes it was like 10 years later that she'd be sitting around thinking of things she was disappointed over and rewrite it....so with that in mind....
Remember that gf of that guy KC knew and ran into during the month KC was living Bella Vita? She testified but I can't recall her name...but KC wanted her to go get tattoos together and she said no...This was way before KC made the appointment for her and her 'friend' (appointment made on July 15 for July 19) at which time she told the tattoo artist about this friend she was bringing to get tattoos with.
So there was no friend! KC was talking about that girl who said no, and rewriting it to where she'd win and the girl said yes at last....and then when the 'friend' didn't show up KC would probably have said SHE/KC dumped her as a friend and that's why she wasn't there. This is exactly how my fake mom did stuff....she could not stand to be told NO or for anyone to suggest she did anything wrong. She would make shit up like this just to save face in her own mind.
My husband has been watching the trial....he said today "You know your mom was just like Casey with those ridiculous lies (I didn't tell him that..he just saw it by himself)....so what would your mom have done if she were Casey? Kill the kid? Or was it an accident she covered up?"
That's an easy one to answer.....she'd have killed the kid and waited until she absolutely had to answer for it and then claim it was an accident and she was not responsible but knew who was...but as she is not a tattle tale she didn't want to get involved.
