Search for clues continues after human head, foot found near Toronto
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Police continue to comb through a park west of Toronto where a human head and foot were found, searching for clues that could help identify the remains.
Authorities discovered a woman's head Thursday in the Credit River where it runs through Mississauga's Hewick Meadows Park, a day after hikers came across what is believed to be a woman's severed foot.

Police to reveal the identity of the victim in the Toronto body parts case

- Police in Ontario say they have identified a victim whose body parts have been found scattered in different locations around the Toronto area.
Peel Regional Police say they will provide an update at noon on the case, including the victim's identity.
Earlier police were executing search warrants as part of the investigation.

Arrest made in Toronto area body parts case, police say, no details released
BRAMPTON, Ont. - Police say they have made an arrest in the case of a single mother whose body parts were found scattered in Toronto area waterways.
Peel Regional Police have not released any details but have scheduled a news conference for noon Eastern Time. Police say the accused had a court appearance scheduled for this morning.
Guang Hua Liu (GWANG-WAH-LOO), 41, was reported missing on Aug. 11, one day after her friends dropped her off in front of a now-defunct spa she used to own called Forget Me Not Health Centre in east Toronto.

A man's attempt to blame his mother for the brutal killing and dismemberment of his ex-girlfriend failed to sway a Toronto-area jury, who found him guilty Thursday of second-degree murder.
The verdict suggests jurors believed that Chun Qi Jiang meant to kill 41-year-old Guang Hua Liu, but he didn't plan it, as the Crown alleged when prosecutors argued for a first-degree murder conviction.

Chun Qi Jiang will serve life in prison with no parole eligibility for 18 years for violently killing and dismembering his 41-year-old girlfriend and disposing of her body parts around the GTA.
A jury found Jiang, 42, guilty of second-degree murder in June after gruesome testimony in a six-week trial, rejecting his claim that it was his mother who was the killer.
