LOL !!!!!!!! Girl, in 1993 I was having a major spine surgery done ( 4th that year ! ) that Dr's had discussed with husband & me concerning it not being FDA approved and to watch a TV special about it ( about the people it had left in wheelchairs, etc ! ) on Thursday night before I had the surgery on Monday morning. We watched, we really had no other option for me but to go on with my surgery ( with the shape I was in ).. so here we go Monday morning to hospital. Me and my giddy, nervous mouth said to the Anesthesiologist as he was wheeling me back for surgery............. "I sure hope Dr. B got a good nights rest and is in good shape this morning ! " His reply............ " It's not Dr.B you have to worry about, it's ME" OMG......... had I not already given a little something to relax me, I probably would have backed out right then ! As it turned out I did come real close to dieing from the anesthesia............but thank God the Anestheiologist did bring me through it all !

In May of this year I made a complaint to the hospital we use concerning our fears of dieing under their care ( or lack of ! ) and the answer I got back was that they had given my letter to the Supervisor of the floor we had been on and that they will continue to strive through education of their staff. Big whoop tee dooo !

Pretty scarey stuff that goes on ! Also, my Cardiologist, upon hearing of what had happened to me ( hmmmmm he evidently had heard about this happening to others ? ) begged me me to complain to Administration and not to let up on them. Kinda speaks volumes huh ?
