An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 15-year-old Bladenboro girl, Iyana Shabre Ross

Bladenboro, N.C. — An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 15-year-old Bladenboro girl.

Iyana Shabre Ross was last seen leaving her house in Bladen County on foot. She was wearing blue jeans and a purple tank top.

Iyana is black, about 5-foot-3 and 130 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Bladenboro Police Chief Chris Hunt declined to release more details about the teen's disappearance, saying he doesn't want to damage the integrity of the case.

"As far as I'm concerned, she is an endangered missing person," Hunt said.

North Carolina authorities have issued an Amber Alert for 15-year-old Iyana Shabre Ross.

The teen girl was last seen leaving her home in Bladenboro on Sunday, and is considered an endangered juvenile.

CNN affiliate WSPA reports police believe Iyana was picked up and abducted by an unknown person.

“Her mother began to receive threatening text messages and photos showing what would happen to her,” according to WSPA.

Iyana is described as 5’3” tall, 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a purple tank top.

RALEIGH 1:30 PM — The Bladenboro Police Department is searching for a missing teen, Iyana Shabre Ross.

Iyana Shabre Ross is a 15-year-old Black female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds.

She has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a purple tank top

Police say Iyana is considered an endangered juvenile.

They say she left walked away in an unknown direction. Police say Ross left her home by crawling through a window.

They believe she was then picked up and abducted by an unknown person.

Her mother began to receive threatening text messages and photos showing what would happen to her.

Amber Alert canceled in NC; missing teen found

RALEIGH, N.C. —North Carolina officials have canceled a day-long Amber Alert after a 15-year-old female considered endangered was found Tuesday.

Iyana Shabre Ross was found by law enforcement, state Amber Alert officials said around 3 p.m. Tuesday. No other details were immediately available.

An Amber Alert regarding Iyana's disappearance was released around 1:30 p.m. Monday by police in Bladenboro, about 40 miles south of Fayetteville. Bladenboro police said Iyana had left her home on foot heading in an unknown direction.
