Lawyer, Others Busted for Trading Child Rape Images

Kids don't stand a chance with leaders like this...

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A corporate lawyer, an architect and at least two dozen others were arrested when police smashed a child pornography ring that traded images of sexual assault "the way others trade baseball cards," Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance said on Tuesday.

Children as young as one year old were depicted being raped and sexually abused in tens of thousands of photographs and videos seized at the culmination of the five-month investigation, Vance said at a press conference.

"These images are not pornography...These images are babies and children and toddlers being raped and sexually exploited," Vance said.

"These images were disseminated on the internet, feeding the appetites of pedophiles seeking new victims," he said.

The defendants all reside in New York City. Almost all were charged with both promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child, each a felony. They range in age from 18 to 63, and hold a variety of jobs from a corporate attorney to a children's shoe store worker to a dishwasher at a restaurant that caters to children.

OMG - this is utterly disgusting!! Tens of thousands of pictures...


Those poor children, it's probably almost impossible to figure out who and where they are. These monsters make me sick.

I think it's disgusting that they "hide" in the general public, in places where there are children.

Children as young as one. What the hell is wrong with people? I hope these people are punished big time!

I agree, maggieg! I can't even begin to imagine what goes through the minds of these people. They are truly sick individuals. It's so hard to believe some of the things that people worthless S.O.B.'s do.

One man caught in the sting- Joshua Ruiz, a substitute school teacher, denies guilt, but retrieved online chats included the following:

“I’m so jealous of you,” Ruiz told one chat buddy who described having sex with a 12-year-old boy, prosecutors told the judge.

“Where do you meet them?” Ruiz asked, according to Assistant District Attorney Lauren Gretina. “How do you approach them?”

“I would love to be a part of it, even, at least, if you could let me just watch,” Ruiz told the dad, Gretina said.

Despite said conversations, Ruiz argues he has never touched a child in his life...

this is so sick, I hope they throw the book at everyone of them, even that Ruiz guy.
