Tim Miller To Testify In Casey Anthony Case

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- The defense team scored a small victory in the case against Casey Anthony on Thursday. Tim Miller, founder of EquuSearch, has agreed to testify as a defense witness.
"That the attorney for Timothy Miller … has agreed to present Timothy Miller as a representative of Texas Equusearch (TES) for deposition in Orlando, Florida," Judge Stan Strickland wrote in the order (read it).

However, the defense only gets the records for the 32 searchers who searched in the area where Caylee's remains were found rather than the 4,000 searchers they were asking for. They can, however, go to Nejames's office to view the complete 4,000... but they can take no notes, photos, etc.......
Snipped from same article:
"That the documents of the thirty-two (32) searchers, which were referenced by Mark E. NeJame as counsel for Timothy Miller and (TES) at the hearing on August 21, 2009, are to be disclosed to both the State and Defense," the judge further wrote in the order.
The defense wanted records from all 4,000 volunteers who looked for Caylee, but the judge denied that.
Read Judge Strickland's order:

Sorry, but I just don't like the heading of the article reported by cfnews13. It states very clearly in the Order that Tim Miller is AGREEING to present himself for deposition by the defense, and that "the Court does not address the issue as to whether Timothy Miller will need to be deemed a material witness and said issue is rendered moot."
That says to me, in essence, TM is NOT deemed a material witness. He has voluntarily agreed to provide information through deposition.
Anyone read that differently???

Defense Says Remains Were Placed In Woods While Anthony Jailed
POSTED: 11:58 am EDT August 27, 2009
UPDATED: 12:39 pm EDT August 27, 2009
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony's defense team will have access to the records of 32 searchers who looked within a couple hundred yards of where Caylee Anthony's remains were found.
Judge Stan Strickland made the ruling on Thursday morning. Casey Anthony is currently in the Orange County Jail charged with murder in the death of her daughter.
Anthony's defense is expected to use this new information to try to support their theory that Caylee's remains were put in the woods along Suburban Drive after Anthony was jailed by finding volunteers who will say they looked in the area and did not see anything. The remains were found in December.

Search group to release information on 32 volunteers in Casey Anthony case
12:20 p.m. EDT, August 27, 2009
The founder of the volunteer search group that helped look for Casey Anthony's daughter last year will be questioned under oath by the mother's defense team, a judge ordered this morning. Information on more than two dozen volunteer searchers also will be released.
Casey Anthony, 23, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 2-year-old Caylee Marie. The toddler's remains were found in December five months after she was reported missing in woods less than a mile from her family home in east Orange County.
Before the discovery, thousands of volunteers with Texas EquuSearch scoured various areas of the county for the missing girl in August 2008 and November. Casey Anthony's defense team requested information on all the volunteers.
Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland ordered the information on 32 searchers -- who were within several hundred yards of where Caylee was found -- to be released to the defense and prosecutors.

Miller To Be Deposed By Anthony's Defense
POSTED: Thursday, August 27, 2009
UPDATED: 1:39 pm EDT August 27, 2009
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Equusearch founder Tim Miller has agreed to be deposed by Casey Anthony's defense team.
According to an order issued by Judge Stan Strickland, Miller's attorney, Mark NeJame, agreed to have Miller deposed as a representative of his search group.
In addition, Miller will turn over to the defense documents regarding the 4,000 volunteers who searched for Caylee Anthony.
Strickland said the defense cannot take notes or copy the records unless they claim -- and the judge agrees -- that the volunteers were in the "immediate proximity of where Caylee's body was later found."
Miller volunteered to provide the defense and the state with documents regarding the 32 searchers who were in the area where Caylee's remains were found during a search in August 2008.

I agree Michelle. Tim Miller is such a sweet caring man with a huge heart. Leave it to Baez and the Anthony's to try and ruin someone elses life. Misery loves company.
I wish someone would ask GA exactly who these's "kidnappers" were that they said were being "watched" and who were the people doing the stake out? Im still waiting for that answer.
