Pictures made by New York City Police Aviation Unit of the 9-11 attack on the World Trade Center in 2001are released after a Freedom of Information request by ABC News.

In this Sept. 11, 2001 photo made by the New York City Police Department and provided by ABC News Tuesday Feb. 9, 2010, smoke and ash engulf lower Manhattan after terrorists flew two airliners into the World trade Center towers.

Most have seen these photo's (that I am about to post) as I have posted them a couple of different times. These pictures were taken by me personally, the May, Prior to them coming down. I use one of them as my background on my laptop.

Looking at the pics from ABC make Sep 11, 2001 feel like 10 minutes ago. I cant imagine how all the surviving families feel. God Bless them all!

You're right, AJ... seeing these pictures brings it all rushing back. It was surreal then... and it is surreal still.....

I hope the families that were so personally devastated by this terrorist act have been able to go on to live somewhat of a normal life. I cannot even begin to imagine.

Thanks for posting these Fysty. No matter how far in the past this horrible day gets, it always seems like it was just yesterday. I hope that one day Bin Laden will be brought to justice for all the lives he has ruined.
