Ali Lowitzer -- Missing 4/26/10

I have not seen any main stream media articles about Saturday's search for Ali.

Apparently, Ali was not found. If so, it would be all over the Houston area news.

There was another search, by Texas EquuSearch, for Ali today!

SPRING, Texas – Volunteers with Texas EquuSearch will resume their effort Saturday to find Ali Lowitzer, a Spring teenager who disappeared nearly two years ago.

Lowitzer was last seen getting off her school bus 30 feet from her house, near Low Ridge and Knotty Post, on April 26, 2010.

HOUSTON - Every day for the past two years, a Spring couple has held out hope that their daughter will one day return home.

She was last seen getting off a school bus in the spring of 2010.....and then just vanished. Her family is hoping that someone out there can help.
When Ali Lowitzer disappeared two years ago she had just celebrated her 16th birthday.

For her 18th birthday this year....there was no celebration....and no Ali....just a memorial dinner held in her honor.

"I can't give up on my daughter, there's just no way that I could, knowing that I think that's what drives me," said Ali's father John.

Ali is still missing. She has officially been classified as missing and that is a good thing in my opinion.

Ali was 16 years old when she went missing. This year she is 18 years old and per her mom, Joann, she would be graduating high school.

Brandon Scott Lavergne may have ties to missing TX teen

There is new speculation the man accused of killing two women in Louisiana may be connected to a missing Texas teenager.

KLFY in Lafayette, LA reports a private investigator in the Lone Star state now seems to think Brandon Scott Lavergne may have ties to Ali Lowitzer, 15, who vanished near her home in Spring, TX on April 26, 2010. It is located just north of Houston.

Several tips indicated there was a white truck pulled over in the area where she was last seen. One caller even managed to get the first few digits of the license plate. Mac Sanford, the private investigator, said those numbers match plates on a truck owned by Lavergne.

He says the other caller remembered a partial plate, one that started with an "x" and several zero's.

"I got a list of every vehicle that he owned. And it turned out that at the time of Alis disappearance, he owned a white, 2005 GMC, extended cab truck, with Louisiana plates that had an "X" and several 0's in it," said Sanford. "So at that point, I thought good Lord this is just too coincidental."

Now, he's looking into whether Lavergne was in the area at the time. You'll recall Lavergne's sister lives 18 miles away in Conroe, TX.

Investigator sees link between Texas teen's disappearance and Lafayette murder suspect

LAFAYETTE -- A Texas private investigator says witness accounts and vehicle records may link the Louisiana man charged with two murders to the April 2010 disappearance of a 15-year-old Texas girl.

The Texas teenager, Alexandria "Ali" Lowitzer, was last seen outside a Burger Barn restaurant in Spring, Texas, three doors down from her home, said Houston-based investigator Mac Sanford. Lowitzer had recently started working at the restaurant and was walking there to pick up her first paycheck, Sanford said.

Just as we suspected, Lavergne led investigators to Mickey Shunick's body and plead guilty in exchange for prosecutors taking the death penalty off the table.

Prosecutors can still seek the death penalty against him in any other murders he may have committed, so hopefully they find enough evidence to charge him if he had anything to do with Ali's disappearance. Of course if that happened, he would probably work out a plea deal and once again escape the death penalty in exchange for information about Ali, but at least her family would know what happened to her.

SPRING, TX/THE WOODLANDS, TX - On April 26, 2010, around 3 p.m., Ali Lowitzer spoke with her mom, got off her school bus and excitedly headed toward her after school job, which was a quarter mile from her home, to pick up her pay check.

Ali never made it to Burger Barn, and no one has seen or heard from her since. Creature comforts that are important to all teenage girls – cell phone charger, make up, clothes, cash – all were left behind indicating that Ali had full intentions of returning home.

Ali’s parents hope this beautiful event, a release of over 100 butterflies, will remind the community that their daughter is still missing, that the search for her continues, and that they will never give up hope that she will be back in their arms one day.

SPRING, TX (KTRK) -- It's been more than three years since Ali Lowitzer went missing, but her mother is not giving up hope of finding her. The teen's mom is using social media to continue to search for her daughter.

Her clothes, makeup, cash and cell phone charger were all left behind. Three years later, Harris County sheriff investigators have officially taken on her disappearance as a cold case, and Ali's mother, Jo Ann Lowitzer, keeps pushing to find her using social media.

Last night I saw the story about Ali on KTRK (ABC) - Houston, TX.

The Houston media have been wonderful to Ali's family over the past few years. They have given valuable air time which is wonderful. It keeps the focus on the fact that Ali is still missing.

Special prays and thoughts to Ali's family. I hope Ali is found soon so she may be brought back to her family. There have been many folks who have searched for Ali over the years.

While some of the approximately 900,000 children a year who disappear from our streets are family abductions and runaways, many of these missing children are kidnapped, murdered, or end up in the hellish world of human trafficking.

Parents who are able to hug their children today need to remember that in our very own neighborhoods there are families who, through no fault of their own, have not seen or held their children in years. The family of Alexandria (Ali) Lowitzer is one of these families who wake up every day to the sadness that their daughter might be out there somewhere, wondering why no one has come looking for her. But as hard as they try, they still need our help because they cannot do it on their own!

SPRING, Texas -- While police raided an alleged prostitution house in Columbus, Ohio, a mother in Spring waits.

"It's sickening," admitted Jo Ann Lowitzer. "It's a sick, nervous feeling."

Columbus officers and a private investigator descended on the house in the Franklinton area, looking for Lowitzer's daughter, Ali.

Spring, TX, June 3, 2014 – Children disappear from the streets of America every day; in fact, 900,000 a year – that's one every forty seconds. While some are family abductions and runaways, many are not. Many of these missing children are kidnapped, murdered, or end up in the hellish world of human trafficking and can't understand why no one has come looking for them. We cannot ever give up looking for them – they depend on all of us to bring them home.

Alexandria (Ali) Lowitzer is one of those missing children. On Sunday, June 8th, at 9 pm EST, Ali will be featured in the second episode of Investigation Discovery's new series, 'Last Seen Alive.' The series follows the emotional journey of 12 families who chase down every lead, never giving up on the search for their lost loved ones.

Ali disappeared on April 26, 2010 near her home in Spring, Texas, and has not been seen or heard from since. She was 16. Her family knows she got off the school bus near home and headed to the main street in the direction of her workplace. But she never made it to the Burger Barn, a quarter of a mile from her home, to pick up her check and maybe work a few hours. Although her mother did not get a response from texts she sent Ali she didn't worry at first because she thought her daughter had decided to work. But when Jo Ann Lowitzer arrived at the Burger Barn just before 9:00 PM to pick Ali up and saw it was closed, she knew something was very wrong.
