Kyron's classroom was 103 downstairs or 201 upstairs.........that's my conclusion. Photos of Skyline Elem - Page 2 80578

I don't know, Calypso. The person that took these photos said this would be the entrance to the boiler room if they use a boiler.....it's labeled "Mechanical Room".

Piper, yes 201...my bad! I fixed my previous post...

Either 201 or 213.

There was a comment somewhere...he is on the 2nd floor.

Now the problem is, look at the pic looking through the door by 201. Now compare that to the view of the janitor by what we believe to be Kyron's door. It doesn't match.

Also, there is a quote that says he is on the north side, that is 213.

In order to decide we need to pick what we believe:

the picture of the janitor, that he's on the north side, or the statement that the exit by his room leads to the parking lot.

We can't have all 3.

2 of these things put him in room 213. One puts him in 201.

217 is where the janitor is, soccer field through window. I blew up the picture and I see 217 above the room, it's not clear but it's a straight line, I believe it's a 7. That door leads out to the level of the raised garden bed and soccer field. If Kyron's room was closest to a back parking lot it had to be the other side...either 201 (upstairs) or 103 (downstairs)..according the school floor plan above.

Look at the floor plan. There is no staircase or window by room 217. There is a mechanic room where the window/exit would be. Check the photos from that other site...there is no window or exit near 217. Those 2 exits are at the 2 front corners of the building.

In the floor plan, the stairs are indicated in a shaded greenish.

Kyron's room is definetly on the second floor.

The last classroom on the left hand side if you are facing the stairs case.

What be your decision? Arghhh! I'm going to start speaking pirate until you two lasses decide, arghhh!

See the problem is Calypso, that exit does NOT lead to the parking lot.

So either the statement about that is wrong, or the pic with the janitor is NOT of Kyron's door.

We need to decide which we believe in order to decide which room it is.

Piper, fly around using this:

click on aerial, and zoom in, you can look at all corners of the building.

I'm not deciding just yet.

But I do think that LE's positioning of the truck might add a clue...but I dont' know for sure.

Thing is, if his room is 213, then coming out that exit, and walkign down to the acces road would make it pretty hard for him to be seen.

Coming out of the parking lot exit where it was likely busy would be harder to pull off.

I liked it when the groundskeeper said she couldn't have parked there.

I hate the change in his statement!

I just think the whole thing is silly. Why would Terri park that far away if she had Kiara with her- I don't know about you guys, but when I had a small child I wanted to park fairly close to the school or wherever so I didnt have to carry a diaper bag.

Savvy?

No matter what room he was in, he could have left from any exit. It didn't have to be the exit right by his room. His room was off the back parking lot, supposedly. If he left out the other side, towards Skyline Rd and the soccer field, what about the kids looking at the raised garden beds? How long were they out there, they didn't have a teacher with them?

From the looks of the back of the school......very overgrown. I think this is the door near classroom 217...

Skyline School
View of school from the soccer field. Note how far down it is and how well hidden this spot is from the door.

And since it was stated Kyron's class was close to the back parking lot, I believe he was in 201 or possibly 203 if he was on the 2nd floor. Because that door leads to the side/back parking area.

Photos of Skyline Elem - Page 2 Empty Skyline Groundskeeper

Post by Calypso Tue Aug 17, 2010 2:58 am

Ok, this is irritating me....

(This is the first story about the groundskeeper before he changed his timeline)

School groundskeeper never saw Hormans’ white truck

http://www.katu.com/news/local/100582364.html
Story Published: Aug 12, 2010 at 4:31 PM PDT
Story Updated: Aug 12, 2010 at 7:14 PM PDT

He said he remembers that even with the science fair taking place that morning things didn’t seem particularly chaotic. This is in sharp contrast to other people's statements that it was chaotic

“It seemed like just a pretty normal day,” he said. “It was kind of damp and wet. It had been wet for a while and the fields were hard to mow.
Therefore, I would assume, it might take a little longer than nomal to mow the grounds?

(I) noticed that there was some children that came out the back door,
He fails to mention, any ADULT SUPERVISION and when he says "back door", would he see the backdoor from his position in the field, or is he assuming they came out of the backdoor?

and I thought, ‘please don’t come down and play soccer.’ But they came out and looked at some plants that were in the raised bed.”

**SNIPPED FROM ARTICLE:

"PORTLAND, Ore. - A groundskeeper who works at Skyline School"

"Dave Stensen, a turf technician with the city of Portland,"

Since this man is an employee of the City of Portland, and not the Board of Education, he very possibly did not have to have a backround check.

I am pretty sure the picture is 213. As I look at the floorplans, 201 and 217 do not have stairs near the door. Previous reports did say his classroom was next to a staircase and that is how he slipped out. Look closely at the floorplan. You can see where the stairs are.

And you can see the soccer goal in the background. The shape of the window. The article stated this was Kyron's room, but who knows.

You know Maat, I am so over this case. We have no facts, from LE that is, everything we know came from D & K, and I don't believe anything they say. Who really cares what room Kyron was in, he didn't disappear from that room, he had full run of the entire school.

Until LE or Terri tells us what room he was in, I won't believe anyone else. The teachers, I'm sure told LE, and Terri was the one who took him to school so of course she would know, but frankly, I don't think his fabulous bio-parents did anything for this little boy, especially his mom.

I know. It is sad to think they are more into the public opinion than into finding out the truth. Where else can a part time mom to both her children, who doesn't visit when they have the chance to do so, and doesn't bother making the bed of the child they haven't seen in weeks become a hero, and the one who does the day in day out mommy work becomes a villian?

Ok guys, Kyron's room # is 213.

Right now I can't give you a link as I'm having connection issues and can't access the Skyline handbook. If anyone else can, please link it here for everyone (if it hasn't been already). It's on page 17.

it is the current handbook on the PPS site, I would think they'd update it if there were changes, plus, unless she moved directly to the other class in question, I doubt she moved at all.

So I'm calling it a fact. It's the most confirmation that we've gotten about anything in this case...I may be desperate, but I'm willing to stand on it...do me a favor, catch me if I lose my footing, lol?

If they are going to put the calendar for the activities for the school year, they surely put out a new hand book each year. I know my kids school issues a new handbook each year, and it also contains the school calendar.

Ours have been on line the past 2 years, so I'm sure they will be again this year. But, at least they will be up-dated.

But this Skyline school is way behind our schools in many ways.
