The last time Randy Ware saw his 16-year-old son Zach was when he woke the teenager up at 6:30 Monday morning before the senior Ware left for work. Randy said Zach went to work out and then met a friend in the Walgreens parking lot before he left for his job in Jonesboro.

Randy said he got a text from Zach at 11:30 with the Paragould High School junior’s schedule for the day: work, then football at Valley View High School with some friends, then on to the Jonesboro Country Club for some swimming before eating dinner.

That was the last anyone’s heard from Zach, Randy said.

Zach, who is 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighs about 140 pounds and has light brown hair and blue eyes, was driving his 2001 single cab, four-wheel drive blue Dodge Dakota. The truck has a black brush guard and two KC off-road lights and has an Arkansas license plate, number 261 PGE. He was last seen wearing a blue button-down shirt and khaki pants, his father said.

‘Not a runaway’

Randy Ware said he doesn’t believe his son ran away.

“He had good grades, played football and had very loyal friends and he was loyal to them,” Randy said. “There was no discord at the house, he wasn’t upset with anything — he didn’t do drugs or alcohol.

Police get a cell phone ping from Sharp Co in missing 16-year-old

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) – Police have narrowed the search area in their search for missing 16-year-old Zach Ware. The Paragould teenager has been missing since Monday afternoon.

Police tell Region 8 news Thursday that the search area has been moved to the Sharp County area after a cell phone ping came back that he may have been in that area sometime Tuesday.

Police say the ping only tells them that his phone may have been in that area, but it could be 5 feet from the tower or 5 miles.

The Ware family is in Sharp County searching for their missing 16-year-old son. Ware's father, Randy Ware, told Region 8's Brandi Hodges that a man who is a member of a rescue squad in Sharp County reportedly saw a blue Dodge Dakota in that area that match's Ware's truck description.

The Center for Missing and Exploited Children has also joined the search, and are putting up missing posters in the Sharp County area.

Police confirm body found is that of AR teen, Zach Ware

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - The Fulton County Sheriff's Office has released information stating that a body found in rural Fulton County is that of missing Paragould teen Zach Ware.

According to the news release, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit located a body believed to be that of Zach Ware at 7:45 p.m. Friday after a brief search in the area where Zach's truck was located.

The sheriff's office indicates the body was pronounced dead at the scene by the deputy coroner.

Evidence recovered at the scene indicates the body is that of Ware. However, the body will be sent to the state medical examiner's office to determine positive identification and cause of death.

SALEM — A body found Friday night in the area of Nine Mile Ridge in rural Fulton County has been identified as that of Zachary M. Ware, 16, of Paragould, Sheriff Kenneth “Buck” Foley said in a press release Monday afternoon.

Ware was last seen on the afternoon of July 25 and was later reported missing after he did not arrive for work.

The state medical examiner has ruled Ware’s death a “suicide by a fatal gunshot wound to the chest,” according to the release.

This is very disturbing. The parents were so sure that he wouldn't leave on his own.

Quoting his father from an article above:

Now they've ruled it a suicide. So, could the parents, who seem to be so involved in his life not have seen any kind of symptom at all? There's no mention of a note left behind. As a parent, I would have to have a lot more detail. Seems like it was decided pretty quickly.

In the pictures that I have seen of him, he does look kind of unhappy, but there are so few of them, it's hard to tell. And of course, it's hard to tell what a person is like just by looking at a few pictures. He had a myspace page but hadn't been on it for over a year. His comments there were mostly about "school sucks", etc.

Idk...just seems a little odd.

He may have suffered depression caused by a chemical imbalance. Its so hard to tell if a teen is depressed or in a mood. People with this type of depression very often don't show signs of it in front of others.

My prayers for his family and friends...
