So who was the person in power, with money, who tried to leave? JA was not abused. She did not have her reputation to lose, either. TA had the most to lose IF the info was released and I bet my bottom dollar, SHE threatened Travis!

In the course of time between Sept 2005- June 2008, they were NOT a couple longer than they had ever been a couple! He was straight up when he said he would NOT marry her! And he did not... No marriage sealed in heaven for her!

That is the email where he said she had "hurt him more than anyone had", that she was "a liar and a sociopath", and that he was disgusted with her lies and manipulations and was going to "tell her parents, friends, etc., if she didn't come clean with him by the next day"!

This is going to be easy.
Wilmott needs to stop opening doors and get to the main thrust of the case.She questioned Samuels in this SAME manner--- bore the jury with how great, grand the witness is; use off the wall examples that are too broad and irrelevant; more boring of the jury. Heck, she is turning the jury against the witness and that is fine with Juan.

From my point of view, this testimony is absurd because out of place. No doubt Mrs Laviolette knows her subject, no doubt those situations are true, sad, intolerable but this is the trial of a murderer. It's as ridiculous to try to place JA in the position of a battered woman than to try to make her look like an attorney. This is not the place for such a lecture.

All of JA's behavior will be "what abused women do" no matter how bizarre.

Of course, IMO, he had NO intentions. And she knew it. Besides, would she have been comfortable with him visiting in her grandmother's home? I don't think so... So would have felt she had betrayed herself IF he had seen her bedroom there.

I'm giggling to myself that Juan is so quiet during this seminar. The more they talk, the more doors are open.

The reality is that JA and TA only dated for 5 months during which she lived in another state. Only when they broke up did she move to him....not the other way around. They never lived together. They don't have purchases together. They don't have children together. Cell phone and text message records pretty much show who did the calling and texting. TA never visited (to my recollection) her when she moved. Then JA moved 1000 miles away and within a month TA is butchered in the sanctity of his own home. By her.

I am very sorry for real situations of DV, but this is not it.

When I listened to that tape, I remember thinking that she probably intended to rent a hotel room in a nearby city/town to avoid the whole "this is where I really come from" dilemma because I had seen the pic's of JA's room at granny's. JA was too pretentious to let Travis see this house and room.

I think Dteam is going to conclude that TA commited suicide because he felt guilty of abusing JA.

She has the correct amount of concern and detachment.
She realizes the limits of her abilities and she is there to guide, not to own the other person; she is NOT responsible for what they ultimately choose. "You don't ram anything down their throats."
