JULIE COREY...on Trial for Killing Friend and Stealing Fetus
THIS TRIAL IS TO START TOMORROW> JAN 27th.
Does anyone know if this will be livefeed?

BOSTON (AP) — A Massachusetts woman accused of beating and strangling her pregnant friend, then cutting the fetus from her womb, will face a jury next week almost five years after the gruesome crime.
Opening statements are scheduled Monday in the murder and kidnapping trial of Julie Corey, 39, of Worcester.
Prosecutors say Corey killed Darlene Haynes, who was eight months pregnant, made a 9-inch incision in Haynes' abdomen and took her fetus. The girl survived, and Corey told her boyfriend, Alex Dion, that the baby was theirs, according to authorities.
Dion's family said Corey introduced a baby girl to them at a family gathering on July 25, 2009, two days before Haynes' body was discovered.
Several days later, authorities found Corey, Dion and the baby at a homeless shelter in Plymouth, N.H. Dion was not charged.
DNA testing showed that Haynes, 23, was the mother of the baby.
The girl, who is now 4, is living with her biological father, Roberto Rodriguez, said Paul Jarvey, a spokesman for Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr.
Corey has pleaded not guilty to kidnapping and murder charges. Michael Wilcox, one of Corey's lawyers, declined to comment Friday.
Attorney Louis Aloise, who also represents Corey, said she was not involved in Haynes' killing.

Julie Corey trial
Caly, I don't know if this will be live streamed. I have not followed this case.
Maybe you can check the local media for that area tomorrow morning to see if any of the TV stations are live streaming this trial.
If no live stream, perhaps a reporter might tweet during the trial.
You might want to check the Worcester Telegram & Gazzette. It appears to be the only daily newspaper in Worcester. I linked an article below. You can click on Home to check for updates daily.
Also, Gary V. Murray is the reporter who wrote the article Linked below. He does have a Twitter account. Maybe he will be tweeting during the trial. Here's a Link to check out his Twitter account tomorrow:

Yes, Caly. I noticed that. Brutal murder of Darlene Haynes as the evidence will prove will outweigh Corey's look she is trying to project.

John F. Hill was great. He answered questions while he was reporting in the trial coverage.
The ME, Dr, Mindy Hull, couldn't pinpoint the cause of death due to deterioration, couldn't determine if the baby was taken before or after death due to deterioration, didn't utilize an entomologist. They weren't aware Darlene Haynes didn't have her uterus until during the autopsy.
Is anyone else following this case?

Yes, John Hill was great although I did not participate in the "live" blog. I have watched a trial before via "live" blog and it is awesome when we could sign in and ask questions.

Defense attorneys representing Julie Corey spent the first day of her trial suggesting that police did not do a thorough enough job investigating other suspects.
Attorney Michael Wilcox, of Worcester, told jurors that the crime scene investigation had been incomplete, and police hadn't focused enough attention on two other men connected to the victim.
"There is no question, ladies and gentlemen, that the police didn't complete a thorough investigation here." Wilcox said.
Corey, now 39, of Worcester, is accused of killing a former neighbor, slicing open her abdomen and stealing the woman's unborn baby. The victim, 23-year-old Darlene Haynes, was eight months pregnant when she was killed in 2009.

Julie Corey in court Tuesday (T&G Staff/TOM RETTIG)
WORCESTER — Fred Haynes carried his daughter's ashes into the Worcester Superior Court courtroom this morning, but was too distraught to speak when the time came.
As he was about to deliver an impact statement at the sentencing hearing for Julie A. Corey, the woman convicted of murdering Darlene L. Haynes in 2009 and cutting the unborn baby from the 23-year-old victim's womb, Mr. Haynes began to shake uncontrollably and soon broke down into tears.
Assistant District Attorney Daniel J. Bennett took over for him, trying to summarize the feelings Mr. Haynes had expressed to him in the past.
Snipped:
Judge Janet Kenton-Walker imposed the mandatory life sentence, and Ms. Corey's lawyers filed a notice of appeal, clearing the way for a state Supreme Judicial Court review of the trial that led to her conviction.
