I was working so I just got to watch closing arguments. So sad

Jury has selected a Foreperson and are now deliberating.
I think a verdict will be this afternoon when I have to take fur baby to vet for check up.

Jury returned with verdict in little over an hour.
With GUILTY on all counts.
Guilty 1st degree sexual offense with child.
Guilty 1st degree kidnapping.
Guilty felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.
Guilty 1st degree murder based on torture & felony child abuse & kidnapping & sexual offense with a child & felony child abuse inflicting serious bodily injury.

Sentencing phase begins tomorrow @ 1:30pm.
Court is dark on Thursday.

Wow. Jury brought in that verdict quickly. Thankfully, they were level headed in their decision.

To the defense: What importance is it whether or not your client sexually abused this child or whether his intention was to kill her? The truth is there: There was plenty of blood in her underwear. And all around the room. Did he intend to kill her? Surely he knew his actions were wrong for he LIED to cover up what he did. Teghan fell off a mattress that is on the floor? Huh? That does not begin to explain the torture he put the child thru. IF the situation was so impossible he had only to WALK to the main house and ask his grandparents for advice or assistance. He did no. He CHOSE to VIOLENTLY beat her even when she begged him to stop...As for soiled clothing from a child: Many young children are still learning to control bladder and bowels. Big deal. The more nervous and uncertain the less control there is over body functions. Again. Big deal....

WARNING: Very GRAPHIC as I have no other way to explain what monsters do.
I just have to say if your raping a child so bad that you rip her so bad as to have only 1 hole there then yes she wouldn't be able to control her bodily functions, further more biting and beating that area until she has copper imbedded in her skin is not going to help either.
I have never hated anyone as much as I hate him and believe me I hate my ex-husband.

Psychologist grilled by prosecutors in Richardson trial's penalty phase as defense rests

SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WTVD) -- The defense has rested in the sentencing portion of the Jonathan Richardson trial.

Richardson was found guilty of torturing and killing 4-year old Teghan Skiba, and now a jury has to decide if he should live or die.

A defense-hired psychologist was on the stand again Tuesday and the prosecution grilled the doctor all day long.

"I asked him do you miss her and he said, 'A lot. I sit in my room and cry about it and think about it a lot." Do you miss Helen? 'Not like I miss our daughter,'" said psychologist Dr. Mathew Mendel.

Richardson did say he missed Teghan, but never expressed remorse. Apparently, the defendant even has a tattoo with Teghan Skiba's name on his body.

During his closing arguments one week ago, an emotional Johnston County Assistant District Attorney Paul Jackson told jurors Skiba was tortured, sexually assaulted, and beaten by Richardson over a 10-day period while her mother, Helen Roxanne Reyes, was out-of-state for Army Reserves training.
