DUNDEE, Ore. – Photos captured from a gas station surveillance camera in Newberg show the last moment family members know about, in the mysterious disappearance of a Dundee mom and wife.

Jennifer Huston, 38, used her credit card to purchase gas at the Newberg Circle K gas station around 6:10 p.m. Thursday. She has not contacted her family since then, and that was the last time her credit card was used, authorities said. (See all 3 gas station surveillance photos at right.)

Before getting gas, Huston withdrew a small amount of money from a local bank, according to investigators.  Police did not say how much money she took out of the account.

Detectives examine video along Oregon highway for any sign of missing mother (Video)

A missing Oregon mom's father, who is a former homicide investigator, told FoxNews.com he is helping police piece together the final moments before his daughter vanished, and described his son-in-law as "solid as a rock."

Investigators are poring over security footage from businesses along a Portland, Ore., highway Monday for any clues into the disappearance of 38-year-old Jennifer Huston, who was last seen four days ago buying gas, her father, Bill Turner, told FoxNews.com.

Turner said authorities have seized video from several businesses near the Circle K gas station in Newburg, where his daughter filled up her 15-year-old SUV on Thursday.

DUNDEE -- The husband of a missing Dundee woman walked two blocks from his house Monday morning to give a statement in a neighborhood park where his two boys often play.

Kallen Huston was up early with two missions: One, spread the word to help locate his wife, Jennifer Janelle Huston, who has been missing since she was last seen getting gas at a Newberg gas station on Thursday evening.

Kallen also was trying to protect his two boys, ages 2 and 6, from the grim news that their mother was missing.

He has told them that she "is on a vacation."

He said that family, friends and police will continue the search Monday. He asked that people from as far away as Portland and Vancouver "keep an eye out for Jennifer and her missing vehicle."

He said it's important for people to "look to the left and right while driving" to see if there are signs of a vehicle off the road someplace. He added that it's always good to have "another set of eyes to keep looking."

He said his wife is "a loving mother" and that her being missing is "out of character."

A husband has issued an emotional plea to his missing wife to come home as detectives hunting for the 38-year-old mother of two said they had run out of leads.

Jennifer Huston was last seen buying petrol on Thursday evening at a 76 station in Newberg, Oregon, two miles from the home she shares in Dundee with husband Kallen and their two sons, aged two and six.

Her mobile phone has been switched off for the past three days since her disappearance and her credit card has not been used.

And today her husband, Kallen, who has been trying to shelter their sons from the ordeal by telling them she is on vacation, told her: 'I love you so much and I miss you. Please come home.'

In an interview with KPTV, he described her disappearance as 'completely odd', adding: '[It is] completely out of character for her to just disappear like this.'

The story of a Dundee woman missing since July 24 when she lefter the family home to run errands continues to unfold Tuesday morning, a day after authorities said they have exhausted all leads.

But family members, friends and strangers continue to look for Huston. The family has created a Find Jennifer Huston Facebook page, which has nearly 28,000 "likes."

A volunteer posted this:

"drove Warden Hill Rd, Fairview Rd, Sunnycrest Rd to the end and Red hills Rd slowly in each direction yesterday. No visible signs of a vehicle leaving the roadway anywhere. But there is a lot of dirt roads and abandoned houses/barns out there that can't be seen driving on the roads. I will continue to search as I can on back roads in and around Newberg/Dundee. I really hope she is found soon."

It is true that we haven't given many details. First, there is an ongoing investigation. But mostly, we aren't exactly positive of where she was headed. Her typical errands would have kept her in Newberg, maybe Sherwood and she typically avoided the back roads. However, since we don't know exactly what occurred that night, we would like continued local canvassing!
We really just don't know any more than that at this time.

A community gathering and prayer service has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hillside Church, 611 N. Main Street, in Newberg

(Reuters) - Police in Oregon were searching on Monday for a stay-at-home mother of two young children who seemingly vanished from her small community while running household errands last week, as her family said they feared the worst.

Jennifer Janelle Huston, a 38-year-old mother of a 6-year-old boy and a toddler, told her husband she was going out to run errands on Thursday evening in the community of Dundee, on the outskirts of Portland, Newberg-Dundee Police Captain Jeff Kosmicki said.

Over the next half hour, video surveillance captured her withdrawing a small amount of money from a nearby credit union, then stopping at a gas station, Kosmicki said. She appeared to be alone in the family’s Lexus SUV.

Flanked by his missing wife's parents and other family members at a Monday news conference, Kallen Huston asked community members to watch for signs of her SUV, or for breaks in greenery where a vehicle may have run off the road.

"We were about to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary, and we have been together for 17 years. This is unlike anything she's ever done," Huston said.

"I have a fear that she's in a ditch somewhere," he said.

The following is a press release sent by the Newberg-Dundee Police Department on Monday, July 28 at 1:35 p.m.

On Friday July 25, 2014, at about 5 am, the Newberg-Dundee Police Department took a report of a missing person; Ms. Jennifer Janelle Huston, age 38 of Dundee. The report was made by her husband, Kallen Huston.

Mr. Huston reported that Ms. Huston was last seen by her husband on Thursday evening July 24, 2014 at approximately 5:45 pm at their home, when she left to "run errands".

Ms. Huston was last seen driving the family's dark green 1999 Lexus SUV with Oregon License number WXH-011. It has been confirmed that she was last known to be at the Circle K filling station / convenience store located on Portland Rd. in Newberg at about 6:20 pm. on Thursday July 24.

The Special Investigations Unit of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department, consisting of five detectives, began work to locate Ms. Huston beginning Friday morning and have been actively working throughout the weekend to locate Ms. Huston, to include detectives from the Newberg-Dundee Police Department's Computer Forensics Unit.

Many tips and leads have been followed up on and are continuing to be followed up on.

As of this time, there is no known criminal nexus to this case nor is there any known threat to the public. The case is being considered as a Missing Persons Case.

Ms. Huston's huband, Kallen Huston is fully cooperating with the investigation and is very concerned about the whereabouts of his wife.

The Huston Family and the Newberg-Dundee Police Department will be holding a joint news briefing at 4:00 pm today, July 28 2014 at the Newberg Public Safety Building located at 401 E. Third Street, Newberg, OR. 97132.

Detectives plan to spend much of Tuesday tracking down what they call several "decent tips" in connection with the disappearance of Dundee woman Jennifer Huston, who was last seen July 24.

"We are following up what I would say are four decent tips," said Capt. Jeff Kosmicki, public information officer for the Newberg-Dundee Police Department.

Kosmicki wouldn't say whether they involved sightings of the car or Huston, but indicated they were specific enough for detectives to pursue.

But, he said, some of the tips coming in are so vague as to be useless.

The Huston home in Dundee has become a waiting room of sorts as family and friends gather to support each other, comfort two little boys and wonder what happened to a wife and mother described as caring and level-headed.

DUNDEE, Ore. -- Police revealed new details in the search for missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston Tuesday, and said her husband has passed a lie detector test.

Jennifer Huston, 38, disappeared after leaving home to run errands around 5:45 p.m., according to a police timeline. (Watch video below to re-trace Huston's route.) She withdrew a small amount of cash from a local bank, bought a few items at a Rite Aid store, gassed up her SUV and then her cell phone stopped working around 6:35 p.m., after she got a message from her mother. Her husband reported her missing to police on Friday.

Investigators also released a new surveillance photo Tuesday, that showed Huston walking into a Rite Aid store the day she vanished. They said she bought a bottle of Gatorade, a package of trail mix and a package of sleep aid pills.

"We confirmed that the amount of sleeping pills was not a lethal dose," Capt. Kosmicki said.

Huston was last seen driving a dark green 1999 Lexus SUV with Oregon License number WXH 011. The SUV had a U-shaped crack in the windshield on the passenger side and there was a Yakima Ski Rack mounted on the roof. Huston was wearing black yoga pants, along with a black zip-up sweatshirt and Nike tennis shoes that were black and pink. Anyone with information about her whereabouts was urged to call police at 503-538-8321.

Donations help family search for missing Dundee mom by air

NEWBERG, Ore. -- The search for missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston was being bolstered by help from a private helicopter and a plane, her family announced Wednesday.

The family announced Wednesday morning that a helicopter crew would help search for her Wednesday.  The helicopter rental was paid for by donations. A small airplane was also to take to the air on Wednesday for an aerial search donated by Terry Trimble Helicopters.

No police search but Jennifer Huston's sister in law tells me the family has a private chopper flying this morning to look for missing mom.

Meanwhile, Newberg Police have asked other law enforcement agencies for help searching rural areas and logging roads, Yamhill County Capt. Tim Svensen told KGW. Police met Wednesday to discuss how they could help during their usual patrols.

"The plan today is to just kind of bring in as much resources as we can, to try and hit as many county roads as we can," Svenson said. "We don't really have a specific location to go to, but we're going to do what we can to hit as many roads as we can today."

Anyone with information about Huston's whereabouts was urged to call police at 503-538-8321. The family has been providing updates on the Find Jennifer Huston Facebook page and many people have been tweeting about her as well.

Mom of Two Jennifer Huston Vanishes Without a Trace in Oregon

The surveillance video is unremarkable, even mundane. On July 24, a 38-year-old blonde woman entered a Rite Aid pharmacy in Newberg, Oregon, about 45 miles south of Portland. Seemingly relaxed, she bought a bottle of Gatorade, a package of trail mix, and a box of over-the-counter sleeping pills.

And then, she vanished without a trace. Jennifer Huston, a married mother with two small children, hasn't been seen in nearly a week, leaving behind a frantic family and baffled police. Her bank accounts and credit cards have remained unused. Her cell phone has been turned off.

An aerial search conducted Wednesday turned up no sign of an Oregon mother who disappeared one week ago after leaving her home to run errands.

The Yamhill County Sheriff's Office conducted the air search in the hopes of locating 38-year-old Jennifer Huston and her 1999 dark green Lexus LX 470 SUV.

Sheriff's deputies directed an aerial search along the Willamette River -- from Wilsonville to Dayton -- while her family organized a fly over from Wilsonville Road and the Willamette River, The Oregonian reported.

Though the aerial searches have so far yielded no sign of Huston, authorities plan to continue flying over more land in Yamhill County on Thursday and Friday, according to the newspaper.

Dundee police following FBI advice in search for Jennifer Huston (Video)

NEWBERG, Ore. -- Local police are going through a missing-persons checklist given to them by the FBI in the ongoing search for missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston, authorities told KGW Thursday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is not directly involved in the Huston case, but advises smaller departments in what to look for. The mysterious disappearance of the 38-year-old wife and mother of two is not being investigated as a criminal case; it remains a missing persons case.

Huston's family told KGW Thursday morning they have been calling her cell phone every hour since then, and the calls go to voicemail every time.

Investigators have not been able to obtain a subpoena to ping Huston's phone for a location, because this is not a criminal investigation.  However, a technical expert told KGW a cell phone must be turned on in order to transmit a ping anyway, so this type of information would not be significantly helpful in the Huston case.

If police were to eventually get a subpoena in the Huston case, they could potentially obtain some limited data about her phone before it went off, including whether the phone was stationary or moving at the time it went off, and which cell tower the final transmission went through.

Without Huston's approval, or evidence of a crime, police can't get a court subpoena for her cell phone records, either

Search for Jennifer Huston stretches to San Juan Islands

NEWBERG, OR (KPTV) - The search for missing Oregon mom Jennifer Huston stretched to Washington's San Juan Islands on Thursday.

A bulletin was forwarded to the San Juan County Sheriff's Office, and deputies on all four islands that can be reached by ferry are looking for her.

The San Juan Islands do not have license readers on ferries, and Yamhill County detectives believe she could be there. A cell phone tower ping indicated she may have been driving north.

Huston, who has now been missing seven days, grew up in Gig Harbor, WA, and the San Juan Islands were one of her favorite spots.

In Yamhill County on Thursday, crews searched on the ground and by helicopter in the northwest region of the county, along with central rural areas and wooded areas just west of McMinnville.

Additional aerial searches were planned for Friday. After that, deputies said they will have covered all rural areas of Yamhill County and no further sheriff's office aerial searches would be immediately scheduled.

'No proof of crime' in missing Oregon mom case has detectives stymied

Authorities said Thursday they've hit a roadblock in obtaining valuable information in the disappearance of a 38-year-old Oregon mother because they cannot prove a crime has been committed.

Jennifer Huston, of Dundee, Ore., was last seen on surveillance camera leaving a gas station in Newberg, a Portland suburb, one week ago. She and her vehicle have not been seen since -- despite expansive searches by air and land for the stay-at-home mom.

Capt. Jeff Kosmicki of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department told FoxNews.com Thursday that investigators are unable to obtain medical records and cellphone tower information because there is no evidence of a crime.

"It's impossible," Kosmicki said.

Looking for clues in Jennifer Huston's life to find the missing Dundee mom

Because there's no sign of foul play and it's not illegal to go missing, detectives are having a difficult time fully examining all aspects of Jennifer Huston's life.

The case has bogged down because the right to privacy -- when no crime appears to have been committed -- trumps the right to get detailed records by officials wanting to help find the Dundee mother of two who disappeared last Thursday.

"We have received financial records from the family," said Capt. Jeff Kosmicki of the Newberg-Dundee Police Department, the lead agency handling the case. "But we can't get medical, or cell phone records. Legally, Mr. Huston does not have access to them."

"Mr. Huston wants to release the records, but he doesn't have authorization to do so," Kosmicki said. "We can't go to court and get a subpoena to order the records to be legally released. We don't have justification for a subpoena because we have no evidence that a crime has been committed."

DUNDEE, Ore. – Police have finished their official search for missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston unless new information comes to light.

On Friday afternoon, Huston's husband pleaded for the public's help in finding his wife, and addressed her directly during a press conference.

"Jennifer, if you can see or hear this, I love you," he said.

A plane searched more than 150 square miles of Yamhill County for several hours Friday morning but found no sign of Huston, according to Captain Tim Svenson of Yamhill County police.

DUNDEE, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Finding Jennifer Huston’s Lexus is the key to finding her, said her husband at a Friday afternoon press briefing.

Kallen Huston addressed members of the media hours after Yamhill County officials ended their search for the 38-year-old mother of two who vanished after getting gas at a Circle K in Newberg on July 24.

"It’s been eight days,” Kallen Huston said at the beginning of his brief remarks, “and we still have no clue” where she might be.

“We really need to find her car,” he said, adding there is a “soccer ball-sized U-shaped crack” in the window as an identifying mark on the 1999 Lexus SUV.

Today, July 31, 2014, the Newberg-Dundee Police Department was assisted by the Yamhill County Sheriff's Officer Search and Rescue (SAR) members who searched the NW region of Yamhill County. Mountain Wave communications, a private SAR out of the Portland area, also assisted in searching some of the central rural areas of our Yamhill County and some of the wooded areas directly West of McMinnville.

The West Valley portion of Yamhill County was searched via air. Aerial searches by Yamhill County Deputies will continue tomorrow over forest lands west of McMinnville. The south end of Yamhill County has been patrolled by regular patrol and forest deputies and they have checked all the parks and areas where we frequently, parked vehicles are located.

After tomorrow morning's flight, the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office will have covered all rural areas of Yamhill County and no further search efforts are planned for Yamhill County. Of course, if additional information arises, search efforts will be resumed as necessary.

The Marion County Sheriff's Office has been since Monday and will continue to patrol the Detroit Lake recreational area and surrounding parks and forest lands, using marine, patrol and forest deputies and cadets.

Search suspended for missing Dundee mom

Law enforcement agencies have suspended their organized search for Jennifer Huston, the missing Dundee mother.

The Yamhill County Sheriff's Office ended its aerial search Friday morning after turning up no new leads.

According to the sheriff's office, law enforcement across Oregon are still searching for Huston and her vehicle during regular patrols of state highways, county roads, city streets, forest lands and recreational areas.

Other state law enforcement agencies are also aware of and looking for her. If specific information as to Jennifer's whereabouts is obtained, organized search efforts will resume.

The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is receiving many tips and potential leads and they will follow-up on each one, investigators said.

(NEWBERG, Ore. ) - The search for a missing Oregon mother who vanished after getting gas from a Newberg gas station last week, will continue through the weekend Salem-News.com has learned, even though two law enforcement agencies say they have exhausted all leads, and will stop for now.

Despite some media reports in Oregon saying the search is coming to an official "end", police, family, and friends of 38-year-old Jennifer Huston don't see it that way, and will continue their search for her on the ground handing out fliers of the missing woman at various events taking place throughout the Willamette Valley. Several police agencies will also continue their searchers by land, water, and air during regular patrols.

Missing Oregon Mother May Have Been Spotted Aboard Ferry

Police are following up on a possible sighting of a 38-year-old missing Oregon woman, Jennifer Huston, boarding a car ferry in Washington – 300 miles from where she was last seen on July 24, pumping gas at a Circle K and buying snacks and over-the-counter sleeping pills from Rite-Aid in Newberg, Oregon.

A couple told police they spotted a woman fitting her description – a blonde female in her 30s in a car that matched the make and model of Huston's green Lexus, even down to the cracked window – on board a ferry from Anacortes, Washington, to the San Juan Islands.

"The information that we've received is that there was a female on the boat, on the 9 o'clock ferry sailing from Anacortes to Friday Harbor on Thursday morning, July 31," San Juan County Undersheriff Bruce Distler told KPTV Fox12 Oregon.

FRIDAY HARBOR, WA (KPTV) - FOX 12 can exclusively confirm that deputies are actively investigating a possible sighting of Jennifer Huston in the San Juan Islands.

According to deputies, a couple visiting Friday Harbor is convinced the missing mother boarded a ferry from Anacortes to the island. The couple described the make and model of her car, down to the cracked windshield, and say a woman fitting Huston's description was behind the wheel.

Now, San Juan County Sheriff deputies are rushing to get their hands on surveillance video from aboard that ferry.

KATU News has learned the San Juan County Sheriff's Office is following up on a tip about a possible Jennifer Huston sighting on Thursday in Washington.

A couple thought they saw Huston's green SUV on a ferry going to Friday Harbor from Anacortes, according to the sheriff's office.

The couple could not confirm the license plate number.

The sheriff's office has requested surveillance video from Washington state ferries.

Police are investigating a new tip about a missing Oregon woman who has not been seen since late last month.

Jennifer Huston, 38, was last seen at a gas station near Portland on July 24. The mother of two ran errands and re-fueled her car before disappearing. After leaving the gas station, her cell phone went dead and none of her credit cards have been used since she disappeared.

"I hope that it's her and I hope they find her, like right now," husband Kallen Huston said. "I hope it's her, but I also don't want people to stop the search locally in Yamhill County just in case. But, we've got two people that reportedly recognize the car and her, and I've gotta say, that's a first."

"Every other tip we've gotten through Facebook, Twitter and beyond says, ‘Hey, I saw her, but she's got a haircut,' or ‘Hey, I saw her but she has tattoos now.' To have one where they identify her and the car, that's one of note."

Tuesday, 38-year-old Jennifer Huston‘s body was located a short distance from the 1999 Lexus LX sport utility vehicle she was last seen driving July 24. There is no indication foul play was involved, Newberg Dundee Police said in a statement.

DUNDEE, Ore. – Missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston has been found dead, in a remote area of Yamhill County near Sheridan, police said.

A property owner spotted her SUV Tuesday morning in a grove of trees near Southeast Gopher Valley Road, just off Highway 18. He alerted police around 10:30 p.m., who soon found Huston's body nearby, according to the Newberg-Dundee Police Department. They said there were no clues which indicated foul play, but this remains "an active death investigation."

An area resident told KGW a chainlink fence had been haphazardly moved and that's what led the property owner to finding Huston's SUV. That neighbor also reported noticing a strong odor.

DUNDEE, Ore. – Missing Dundee mom Jennifer Huston was found dead in a remote area of Yamhill County Tuesday, police said.

A property owner spotted her SUV along a dirt road about 1/8 of a mile from the closest home in the rural farming community near Sheridan. He alerted police around 10:30 a.m., and deputies soon found Huston's body about 50 yards away from her vehicle, according to Capt. Jeff Kosmicki with the Newberg-Dundee Police Department.

Kosmicki would not discuss the condition of the body, but said Huston was still wearing the outfit she had on the night she went missing; black yoga pants, a sweatshirt and sneakers. He said there were no obvious signs of foul play or indications that her SUV had been involved in a crash.

He added that the area just off Highway 18 had previously been searched by air, but a heavy canopy of trees hid Huston's vehicle. Now a mobile team with the Oregon State Crime Lab will comb the area for any additional clues and autopsy could be released as soon as Wednesday, he said.

Charlotte and Vern Clemmer have lived on their 40-acre property for almost 40 years. Vern spotted a vehicle while riding a tractor around his property today that turned out to be Jennifer Huston's dark green SUV. Huston was the missing Dundee woman last seen July 24. She was found dead

One of the first questions Charlotte Clemmer asked her husband was, "Is it a dark-green SUV?"

Her question came Tuesday morning after Vern Clemmer spotted a suspicious vehicle while riding a tractor around his 40-acre property. He smelled what he thought was dead deer. Thinking it might might signal illegal activity by trespassers, he noted the license plate number and returned home -- never leaving his tractor.

Vern Clemmer says the SUV was backed up about 150 feet along a private road on his heavily wooded property. At Gopher Valley Road, the smaller turnoff is blocked by a rope gate with a "Private Property/No Trespassing" sign. The rope gate was probably opened and then put back in place, Clemmer said.

It was apparent to the Clemmers that the SUV had been parked for at least a few days. Pine needles lay on its top and the grass that would have been matted by being run over recently was standing straight.

Neighbors told the Clemmers they heard gunshots about a week ago, but Vern Clemmer said he doesn't pay attention to those since they could come from neighbors who target shoot or illegal hunters.
