BOONVILLE, Ind. - Warrick County deputies are looking for a mother of two last seen early Friday morning.

Police said 27-year-old Kristy Kelly was last seen leaving the Boonville VFW in her 2003 Nissan Xterra, license plate SZF858, around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Kelly's cell phone was found at the VFW, according to police.

Kelly is described as a petite white female with brown hair and blue eyes. Police said there is a Munsterman Motors sticker on the back of her SUV.

Police said there is no indication of foul play at this time.

Anyone with information about Kelly is asked to contact the Warrick County Sheriff's Department at 812-897-6180.

LEBANON (August 17, 2014)— A mother is missing and family members need help in locating her.

Kristy Kelly, 27 was last seen leaving the Boonville, Indiana VFW around 1:30 a.m Friday, August 15th.

She was driving a 2003 Nissan Xterra (LP# SZF858). Her cell phone was retrieved from the VFW.

Kathy Scales, a grieving mother continues the brave and difficult fight of holding on to hope. At Studio Bee in Boonville search organizers collect pages and pages of names of volunteers searching for Kristy Kelley.

"We had people come from Gibson County who didn't know her, don't even know anybody in the area. Just coming to help because they've heard about it," said friend of Kelley Reagan Fuquay.

WARRICK CO., IN (WFIE) - The parents of missing woman Kristy Kelley tell us they're thankful for the massive search efforts thus far.

Both Todd and Kathy Scales are still in shock after their daughter went missing early Friday morning.

They tell us they have been so surprised with the outpouring of support from the community as they continue the search for Kristy.

Todd and Kathy Scales tell me Kristy told people when she was last seen she needed to leave for work in the morning.

BOONVILLE, Ind. - Police are piecing together new information as the number of volunteers searching for a missing Indiana mother of two grows.

Warrick County Sheriff Brett Kruse told a large group of volunteers preparing to search for Kristy Kelley, of Boonville, on Monday that investigators are unsure what happened to her.

"What we know is that Kristy Kelley was at the VFW (in Boonville) at 1:30 Friday morning," Kruse told volunteers who have been staging at Studio Bee in Boonville. "We have video of what we think is her vehicle going past the Tastee-Freez out here at about (1:50 a.m.). The rest of it is speculation."

Kelley, 27, was reported missing Friday after she did not show up to work later that day. Her vehicle is described as a Silver 2003 Nissan Xterra with Indiana license plate SZF858.

Two Central Indiana moms have disappeared -- five weeks and less than 20 miles apart – leaving investigators looking for potential links in the two cases.

"To have someone missing in our area –- two of them active like this at the same time -- is very unusual," Sgt. Jason Cullum of the Evansville Police Department told The Huffington Post.

The two women are 30-year-old Joelle Ann Lockwood of Evansville and 27-year-old Kristy Kelley of Boonville. Both are mothers with two children. Both were last seen wearing tank tops and blue jean shorts. And the similarities go on.

Kelley was last seen at a VFW lounge in Boonville, Indiana, at about 1:30 a.m Friday.

Boonville is a small city located about 18 miles northeast of Evansville.

According to her father, Todd Scales, Kelley had been hanging out with friends at the VFW and headed out about 15 minutes after they left.

"I guess there was hardly anybody in the place -- just them, the manager and a fairly new bartender who Kristy knew –- so they closed early," Scales told HuffPost.

What happened to Kelley after she left the VFW is a mystery. Somewhere between the lounge and her parents' house -- a distance of less than 2 miles, according to her dad – both Kelley and her 2003 Nissan Xterra vanished without a trace.

Demanding Landscape Tough for Missing Person Search

The search continues for a missing Warrick County woman. The Warrick County Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Kristy Kelley was last seen around 1:30 Friday morning at the VFW in Boonville. Since her disappearance more than 600 volunteers have searched the area.

Monday morning most people are at work, but at Studio Bee in Boonville around 100 people gathered to coordinate search efforts for the third day in a row. After going along with one woman searching for any sign of Kelley I can tell you it's a daunting task.

On a map of Warrick County the lines are drawn in black and white and the colored tape represents areas that have been searched. But when driving through the thick wetlands just outside of Boonville the landscape doesn't look as clear as it does on the map.

Police: 2 missing women’s cases in Evansville unrelated so far

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Authorities investigating the disappearances of two women in the Evansville area say there’s no evidence yet that the cases are related.

Twenty-seven-year-old Kristy Kelley of Boonville was last seen leaving a veterans lodge in that city around 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Evansville resident Joelle Lockwood, 30, was reported missing last month. Evansville Police Department Sgt. Jason Cullum told the Evansville Courier & Press that investigators working on the Lockwood case have been in contact with Warrick County authorities handling the Kelley case.

WFIE-TV reports more than 600 people showed up Monday to search for Kelley. WEHT-TV reported Tuesday that flyers with her name and photograph have been posted around Boonville, about 15 miles east of Evansville, and a vigil is planned for Wednesday evening.

As the search continues for missing Boonville, Indiana woman, Kristy Kelley continues, the small community she calls home will hold a candlelight vigil Wednesday night with the hope she returns home safely.

The group, Warrick County Awareness will hold the vigil on the lawn of the old courthouse in Boonville at 7:30pm. The ceremony is open to the public.

A desperate search is underway Tuesday for a missing mother of two.

Kristy Kelley was last seen Friday night at a VFW in Boonville, Indiana.

Kelley's mother tells HLN that Kristy was out with some friends at a bar to support a bartender friend.

"Everyone had left. The bartender had to go back in to do deposits from what I understand," said Kristy's mom, Kathy Scales. "When [the bartender] came back out, Kristy was no longer there. They heard a door close and didn’t think much of it ... thought she stepped outside for a moment. But her vehicle was gone."

Kristy's cell phone was found inside the bathroom.

Search Efforts for Missing Woman Take to the Skies

Volunteers in Warrick County are taking the search for missing Boonville woman Kristy Kelley from the ground to the sky.
Today, a small group of volunteers used a drone to look for Kristy.

Search teams launched the drone over private property off Heim Road in Chandler. The location has a barricade at the entrance near Asbury Cemetery Road and hasn't been accessible until now.

Eyewitness News was there as volunteers used technology to help the family.

It can go where they can't. Family members and volunteers in Warrick County are hoping this drone will capture something that will lead them to Kristy Kelley.

"Anything at this point, anything. I would love to find her vehicle. I don't care if it's her purse, a shoe, keychain, anything to give us a lead, as to what has happened to our daughter," Todd Scales said.

An Indiana woman missing for two months and apparently held as a slave in a cage has been found alive, and authorities have arrested a couple in connection with her July disappearance, police said on Sunday.

Joelle Lockwood, 30, went missing on July 9 and was allegedly kept inside the trailer of 37-year-old Ricky Roy House Jr. and 44-year-old Kendra Tooley where she was made to perform chores while wearing a belt like a dog collar around her neck, naked from the waist down.

They have been arrested on preliminary charges of criminal confinement and rape.

The mother-of-two was freed after Tooley's ex-husband visited the suspects and rescued her while the couple aimed guns at him.

Body of Missing Indiana Mother Kristy Kelley Found

Kristy Kelley, the Indiana woman who vanished on Aug. 15 after a night out with friends, has been found.

According to police in Warrick County, sonar equipment used by an independent search team found the 27-year-old mom's 2003 Nissan Xterra in a lake near her home.

Kelley's body was still inside. Her death has been ruled as an accidental drowning; there is no indication of any criminal involvement.

Warrick County Sheriff Brett Kruse also released a statement about Kelley's death.

"The Kristy Kelley Missing Person case is coming to a close," he said. "Not the outcome that anyone wanted, but hopefully will bring some closure and some peace to her family. Our prayers go out to them."
