Prince Andrew named in US lawsuit over underage sex allegations

In case related to banker Jeffrey Epstein, woman alleges in court filing that she was forced to have repeated ‘sexual relations’ with duke

A woman who claims that an American investment banker loaned her to rich and powerful friends as an underage “sex slave” has alleged in a US court document that she was repeatedly forced to have sexual relations with Prince Andrew.

The accusation against the Duke of York is contained in a motion filed in a Florida court this week in connection with a long-running lawsuit brought by women who say they were exploited by Jeffrey Epstein, a multi-millionaire convicted of soliciting sex with an underage girl after a plea deal.

The woman, who filed the motion anonymously, alleges that between 1999 and 2002 she was repeatedly sexually abused by Epstein who, she also alleges, loaned her out to rich and influential men around the world.

The document – a motion to expand an ongoing lawsuit relating to prosecutors’ handling of Epstein’s case with two new plaintiffs – alleges that the woman “was forced to have sexual relations with this prince when she was a minor” in London, New York and on a private Caribbean island owned by Epstein.

Thots of little Madeleine McCain and some of the politicals who got involved in her case....

Prince Andrew named in 'sex slave' lawsuit
Ann Oldenburg, USA TODAY 12:37 p.m. EST January 2, 2015

"...In documents filed in Florida as part of a long-running lawsuit brought by women who say they were exploited by banker and financier Jeffrey Epstein, a certain royal's name has popped up.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York (second son of the queen, younger brother to Prince Charles), is mentioned in the court document as a participant in sexual activity, reports The Guardian.

The woman, one of several in the lawsuit, and who filed the motion anonymously, alleges that between 1999 and 2002 — when she was a minor — she was repeatedly sexually abused and lent out by Epstein to rich and influential men around the world. Among her claims is that she was forced to have sex three times with Prince Andrew, says The Guardian...."

"...It's not the first time Andrew has been linked to Epstein.. The connection goes back to 2001, when Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, got into hot water when she accepted money from Epstein to pay off debts.

Epstein, 61, was jailed for 18 months in 2008 after being convicted for soliciting an underage girl (she was 14) for prostitution. Andrew made a controversial visit to Epstein in New York two years after his release from prison....."

Prince Andrew sex case claim: Duke of York is named in underage 'sex slave' lawsuit over claims of forced sexual relations

"...

A woman has alleged that she was repeatedly forced to have sexual relations with Prince Andrew as part of a lawsuit that claims an American investment banker passed her around rich and powerful friends as a “sex slave” while she was still underage. A Buckingham Palace spokesman has said the claims are “categorically untrue”.

Police Chief 'Accidentally' Shoots His Wife

Chief William McCollom says he did not mean to discharge his service pistol, hitting his wife in the bedroom of their home.

Peachtree Police Chief William McCollom (R) has been placed on leave

By Sky News US Team

A police chief in the US state of Georgia is under investigation after shooting and injuring his wife at their home in the early hours of New Year's Day.

Peachtree City Police Chief William McCollom dialled 911 shortly after 4am on Thursday to say he had accidentally shot his spouse in the bedroom with his service pistol.

~Snipped~

His 911 call was released on Friday in which he tells a dispatcher he shot his sleeping wife while moving a Glock 9mm that was in their bed.

"The gun was in the bed," he says, "I went to move it, and I put it to a side and it went off."

His wife can be heard crying in the background of the call.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Sherry Lang told a Thursday afternoon news conference an initial report indicated Mr McCollom shot his wife twice.

But investigators have since established he shot her once, she added.

He said that he shot her twice "accidentally". His demeanor is quite interesting to say the least. He is eerily calm and it doesn't sound at all like he is helping her. She can be heard moaning in pain in the background.

This is so bad I must warn you before you read the first link or click on the 80 slides at the second link. Sick and evil. These two have to be junkies, IMO. FOUR children HAVE safely been removed and two are old enough to share. We may want to open a new link for this case. Children rescued: 6 mo, 3yr, 10yr, 13 yo. At least 3 babies found deceased.

ERIKA MURRAY, 31yo
RAYMOND RIVERA, 38 yo
Blackstone, Mass.

Woman Hid Dead Babies So Her Boyfriend Would Not Find Out About Them, Prosecutor Says

"...The pediatricians had to literally clean the maggots out of her ears so that she was able to hear correctly," he said. ..."

"...Rivera claimed he had no idea about the state of the upstairs bedrooms, but that was quickly disputed when it was discovered that he'd been sleeping "just eight feet" from the babies' remains, according to Mass Live. ..."

"... Blackstone Resident • 3 days ago

She'd go home? Jokes on her, they tore the house down about a month ago.
I live 2 houses down from where this all happened and am in awe that they kept it so quiet and behind closed doors. The 13 and 10 year old were weird but didn't look like they came from a terrifying, abusive house. My neighbor used to play with them everyday!
As for the mother, she has always been a creep. I wish they had the evidence to try her for 3 counts of murder because there is no doubt in my mind that she killed the 3rd one too. And the father DEFINITELY knew about all of this. Damn.
It's a shame, Blackstone is a nice town with a championship-winning marching band/percussion/guard. Overall, the town is a beautiful mix of suburbia and the rural world but too bad no one will ever remember us for these things. ...."

The missing college boys? It seems to fool a certain pattern.
It reminds me of the "killing fields" in Texas where all the many bodies were female and of a certain age.

Murray, Erika
Mass.

"....But this radiant image of family life collapsed Aug. 28 when police came to her home, responding to a complaint of a child crying in the house. They found the home’s deplorable conditions, as well as a total of four children, all of whom were removed and placed in the state’s foster-care system. The two younger children also showed signs of severe neglect: The 3-year-old has poor muscle tone and does not walk; while the baby reacts as if she rarely has seen sunlight, according to the state investigator...."

Age may be pivotal for two in case

".... .....Tied to a toilet when she wasn’t confined to a crib, the girl spent most of the first 13 years of her life alone. The father who imprisoned and tortured her snarled like a dog and scratched her with his fingernails. He never taught her to speak, and beat her whenever she made a sound.

And though well-meaning foster families and well-trained scientists spent decades trying to introduce the girl they called Genie to the world outside the Southern California hellhole where she was rescued in 1970; Genie never even learned to speak.

For severely neglected children — such as the 3-year-old and a 5-month-old kept hidden, and in isolation, in a house in Blackstone — rescue from parents unwilling or unable to provide for the most basic needs is only the beginning of a recovery process. It can take years if it happens at all, experts on child development say, to reverse years of isolation and neglect.

“Neglect is much worse for kids than abuse is,” said Charles Nelson, a professor of pediatrics and neuroscience at Harvard Medical School. “Depriving the brain very early in life has very insidious effects.”

Many details about the horror hidden in Blackstone have emerged, but relatively little is known about the lives of Ericka Murray’s two youngest children, who a neighbor said were found covered in their own feces. Cloistered inside a house that also contained the corpses of three infants, the children were allegedly kept a secret from their father by a mother who has been described by her lawyer as mentally ill. Officials said the 3-year-old was found unable to speak, underweight, and showing signs of limited exposure to daylight.

The younger children were placed in foster care, while Murray’s two older children, who were not raised in secret, are staying with their paternal grandparents.

Neglected children’s ability to recover largely depends on how old they are when they start receiving proper care, Nelson said. “The longer they’re in those conditions, the harder it is to get them back to even keel.”

Because the two-to-three years that separate the youngest Blackstone siblings contain so many critical developmental periods, the 5-month-old has a much better chance of recovery.

“This is not to say that for the 3-year-old, the die has been cast and the child has nothing but horrible things up the road,” Nelson said. “But I would be stunned if [the child’s] language was normal, if [the child’s] emotional health was normal.”

Nelson compared the conditions in Blackstone to what he has seen during the 15 years he has studied Romanian orphans. The conditions in those orphanages, where a single staff member was tasked with caring for as many as 60 children with intellectual and physical disabilities, probably approximated the situation on the excrement-filled second floor in Blackstone, he said.
“I wasn’t used to living in a home or an environment that was so kind,” said Izidor Ruckel, who spent his early years in a Romanian orphanage. “We were so used to the neglect and the abuse.”

“I wasn’t used to living in a home or an environment that was so kind,” said Izidor Ruckel, who spent his early years in a Romanian orphanage. “We were so used to the neglect and the abuse.”

Izidor Ruckel is one of those orphans. “Children are left with wounds that leave them scarred for life,” said Ruckel, who spent his earliest years in one of the bleak, unsanitary, and barely staffed Romanian orphanages that became central to the study of extreme child neglect after the country opened its borders in 1989.

Ruckel, 34, was adopted and brought to America in 1991, but his earliest years affected him long after that.

“For a long time, I was bitter and angry,” he said. “I took it out on my friends and family. I wasn’t used to living in a home or an environment that was so kind. We were so used to the neglect and the abuse.”

Emotional problems are among many issues that can emerge among children raised without critical care early in their lives, said Ann Easterbrooks, a professor in the Department of Child Study and Human Development at Tufts.

Care in the first year after birth profoundly affects the brain’s wiring, Easterbrooks said.

“In cases of chronic, severe neglect, you see smaller brains and difficulties in emotion regulation,” Easterbrooks said. “You might see serious depression, anxiety disorders, and negativity,” including blunted positive emotions and emotional flatness.

“It affects the structure and architecture of the brain,” Easterbrooks said, including its size, number of cells, and the connection between its areas.

The prefrontal cortex, which develops rapidly in the months after birth, controls decision making, problem solving, and impulse control, she said. Those deficits are difficult — but not impossible — to overcome.

“What would be required would be massive, systemic kinds of supports at many different levels,” Easterbrooks said. “We’re not talking about a week of intervention.”

Ruckel said he was fortunate to get that kind of care.

“It requires a lot of medical treatment, and a lot of patience. Once you are able to overcome it, you’ll never forget.”

And he said the plight of Blackstone’s youngest victims rings familiarly in his ears.

“I almost consider it the same as the orphanage,” said Ruckel, who speaks on college campuses with the orphan advocacy organization Both Ends Burning and will visit Boston in November.

“You’re locking up a human being from seeing the reality of the world. Nobody will know. Nobody will ever find out.”

But sometimes somebody does find out.

And then the hard work begins...."

STERLING, Va. — Community members are mourning the loss of a Northern Virginia yoga instructor found dead in Mexico.

Search teams in Tepoztlan, Mexico, south of Mexico City, found 25-year-old Hari Simran Singh Khalsa's body Friday afternoon after a four-day search in tough, mountainous terrain.

The yoga instructor and his wife had taken their yoga students on a spiritual yoga retreat to Mexico. He went on what was supposed to be a short hike.

Khalsa had texted his wife a picture of him on the summit of a mountain and captioned it "looking down on you!" on Tuesday. His last text to a friend indicated he was lost.

Khalsa appears to have fallen while hiking and sustained a fatal injury to the head, a statement from the family said.

The whereabouts of Shane Montgomery, a West Chester University (WCU) student missing since the eve of Thanksgiving, are still unknown.

According to the Main Line Times, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is acting on “credible” evidence that has led the search back to the Schuylkill River. Montgomery was last seen on Wednesday, Nov. 26 and has been missing nearly three weeks.

Marine units are expected to search the river near where the WCU senior was last sighted, FBI Special Agent J.J. Klaver told the Times. Residents in Manayunk have been helping Montgomery’s family and friends in the search as well.

The family of Shane Montgomery, 21, confirmed to ABC station WPVI-TV Sunday that divers found the keys near the river bank; the first physical clue to emerge in Montgomery’s Nov. 27 disappearance.

“They discovered a set of keys in the water,” Montgomery’s uncle Kevin Verbrugghe told WPVI-TV. “They brought them to the surface and brought them to us. I identified them as Shane’s, positively identified as his.”

DA: Student Run Over by Cop Car Was ‘Impaired’ (Video)

AP | 01.03.15 | 12:59 PM

CHATHAM, Mass. (AP) — A Massachusetts prosecutor says a college student who died after being run over by a police cruiser on Cape Cod was high on alcohol and drugs.

Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe told The Boston Globe that Greg Gagne was ‘‘seriously impaired’’ when he was run over in Chatham early on New Year’s Day. O'Keefe said Gagne had been drinking hard alcohol, but he declined to name the drugs.

The 22-year-old Gagne, of Longmeadow, was a senior government major and lacrosse player at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

Woman making Prince Andrew sex claims stands by story

03 Jan 2015 19:17| AFP

The woman who alleged she was forced to have sex with Britain's Prince Andrew has stood by her story despite Buckingham Palace's strong denial.

Britain's Prince Andrew (Reuters)

The woman who alleged in a US court filing she was kept as an underage “sex slave” by a Wall Street financier and forced to have sex with Britain’s Prince Andrew stood by her story on Saturday despite Buckingham Palace’s strong denial.

The plaintiff, identified only as “Jane Doe #3” in court papers, told British newspaper the Guardian that she refuses to be “unjustly victimised again” after robust denials of the allegations from the palace and also a prominent US attorney named in the lawsuit
.

The story made front-page news in Britain’s newspapers on Saturday.

In a strongly-worded response on Friday, Buckingham Palace said that “any suggestion of impropriety with underage minors is categorically untrue”.

In a statement issued to the Guardian through her lawyers, the woman said: “These types of aggressive attacks on me are exactly the reason why sexual abuse victims typically remain silent and the reason why I did for a long time.

“That trend should change. I’m not going to be bullied back into silence.”

Another man named in the court papers also robustly protested his innocence.

Alan Dershowitz, one of Epstein’s defence lawyers whom “Jane Doe #3” was allegedly forced to have sex with on several occasions, told AFP the story was “made up”.

Just got the updates on Shane. Another young man lost and we don't know why. WHY???? Why not a concentrated effort to find out what is behind this ongoing rash of deaths that appear to have a commonality?

I am reminded of the "Franklin Scandal" and Boys; Town out of Omaha, Nebraska. At least we know that was a male prostitution sex trade going on...

So many names. Too many names. Too many lost too early in life with dreams left unknown. Sad

The agonizing search for a missing college student has ended in heartbreak for the young man’s family.

Search teams from the Garden State Underwater Recovery Unit pulled Shane Montgomery’s body from the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia around noon Saturday, Fox 29 reported.

~Snipped~

Fox 29 said the biggest break came two weeks ago when investigators found Shane’s car keys near the river.

Surveillance video showed him heading towards a parking lot along the banks of the icy river.

“This is the last place we know he came,” Philadelphia Detective Capt. James Kelly told the station. “Nobody else followed him. He walked into the parking lot. If he came back here, there’s a lot of different ways he could have gone that wouldn’t have been picked up by a camera.”

"The 24-year-old University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee student had celebrated the New Year with friends at the Irish Rec Room, a downtown Milwaukee bar. Reportedly, Nick was kicked out of the bar and was last seen between 1 AM and 2 AM on January 1. Nick's family and friends began a comprehensive area search within hours."

The Irish Rec Room, is located at 1023 N. Old World 3rd St, Nick Wilcox's body was found  in the 1000 block of N. Old World 3rd St. He  was found bout 350 to 500 feet from where he was last seen; the location where his body was found in the Milwaukee River is across the street from the Irish Rec Room.

The commonalities between the Shane Montgomery case and the Nick Wilcox case are mind boggling.

Son allegedly killed hedge-funder dad after $200 allowance cut

Thomas Gilbert Jr. is escorted out of the 17th precinct Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, in New York. Gilbert was charged in the alleged shooting death of his father, hedge fund manager Thomas Gilbert.
Chad Rachman

The bratty 30-year-old son of a millionaire Manhattan hedge-fund founder was charged Monday with murdering his dad after the old man cut his allowance — by a measly $200, law-enforcement sources said.

Thomas Gilbert Jr. faces multiple charges including murder and criminal possession of a weapon after he allegedly fired a single shot at his father’s head Sunday night.

The son, who just found out he was getting a $200 cut in his monthly allowance, asked his mother to go get him a sandwich so she’d be out of the family’s tony Beekman Place apartment just before he pulled the trigger and executed his dad, sources told The Post.

~Snipped~

Gilbert Jr. shot his father about 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the family’s posh pad at 20 Beekman Place with a high-powered .40-caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol that he owned, police said.

Sources said they found the box the gun came in after Gilbert Jr. surrendered at his apartment at 350 W. 18th St. about 11 p.m. Sunday. Police also found two magazine clips and loose rounds scattered around his Chelsea pad.

It is still unclear whether he bought the gun legally.

Massive hunt underway for gunmen in Paris terror attack

Doug Stanglin and Kim Hjelmgaard, USA TODAY 11:17 a.m. EST January 7, 2015

At least a dozen people are dead after gunmen stormed the offices of French satirical magazine 'Charlie Hebdo' Wednesday. The country's president is calling the attack an act of terror. VPC

Masked gunmen shouting Islamic phrases stormed the offices of the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo Wednesday, killing 12 people, including the editorial director and four cartoonists whose work included controversial drawings of the prophet Mohammed.

The gunmen, wearing hoods and armed with Kalashnikov automatic rifles, fled in a stolen car in Paris after exchanging gunfire with police at the scene, killing two officers, France24 reports. Five people were reported in critical condition.

French authorities said they were looking for three suspects in the noon-time attack.

Paris attack is latest to target European media

Jane Onyanga-Omara, USA TODAY 11:06 a.m. EST January 7, 2015

A gun assault on the Paris offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo was the deadliest terrorist attack in France's recent history. (News, USA TODAY)

The attack on the Paris offices of a French satirical newspaper appears to be the latest act of terrorism targeting European media.

At least 12 people were killed when hooded gunmen shouting the Islamic phrase "Allahu akbar" ("God is great") stormed the offices of Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday. The weekly has previously drawn condemnation from Muslims, and its offices were the subject of an arson attack in 2011 after it published a caricature of the prophet Mohammed. Islamic law opposes any depiction of Mohammed.

12 killed, many injured, in Paris terror attack

Developing Stories - Page 2 Terror-attack

A MASSIVE manhunt is underway for two “well trained” terrorists who have shot dead at least 12 people and injured countless others after storming the headquarters of a French media company in central Paris.

Early reports suggest at least two gunmen armed with assault rifles and a rocket-propelled grenade launcher launched a terrifying raid on the offices of satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo.

There are reports that at least four people have been left critically injured and among the dead are 10 journalists and two police officers.

Developing Stories - Page 2 SHOT-DEAD

It’s being reported the masked gunmen had asked for journalists by name before opening fire.

The number of dead and injured may rise. It’s understood the gunmen are now on the run after driving away in a hijacked car.

French President Francois Hollande has called an emergency cabinet meeting and the country’s security level has been raised to its highest level as the hunt for the gunmen gets underway.

PARIS — French police have identified three men as suspects in Wednesday’s massacre of a dozen people at the offices of a satirical weekly newspaper, a brazen attack that set off a massive manhunt and sparked widespread condemnation of the killings.

Indiana State Police say that a body found in a Sullivan corn field is that of a missing Sullivan woman.

Dental records were used to identify 20 year old Tiffanie R. Adams.

She was last seen on November 5, 2014 walking from her father’s home on North Broad Street to her mother’s residence nearly one block away.

She was reported missing on November 7, 2014.

A farmer found her body while harvesting a corn field near CR 300 North and CR 325 East.

Several leads were investigated in this case but none led a resolution prior to her body being discovered by the farmer.

Anyone with any information regarding this case, more specifically, if anyone saw Tiffanie speaking with someone or riding in a car on the day of her disappearance, should contact police as soon as possible.

New information on Paris terror suspects

CBS News has learned that the two brothers suspected in the massacre at a French satirical newspaper this week have connections to Yemen, and previous links to al Qaeda in Iraq.

It was not immediately clear whether it was Said or Cherif Kouachi, both in their early 30s, who travelled to Yemen in 2011. But a senior intelligence source told CBS News on Thursday that both men are known long-term jihadists, and were known to French officials.

One of the men was convicted in 2008 of recruiting fighters in France to go and fight in Iraq. He was jailed for 18 months.

Why is Obama still snubbing the VA?
Pete Hegseth, AZ I See It 5:51 p.m. MST January 8, 2015

"...While he addresses an adoring crowd, five minutes away there are wounded veterans still awaiting timely care, and long-overdue accountability, at the Phoenix Veterans Affairs Hospital — the same hospital where, less than one year ago, America learned how grossly mismanaged our VA system had become.

It is unconscionable that President Obama won't even stop by for a visit.

The president hasn't visited a single VA hospital since The Arizona Republic first reported last April that the Phoenix VA had kept a secret wait-list for critically ill veterans, a despicable practice that, unfortunately, was not just employed in Phoenix...."

Before girl’s death on Tampa Bay bridge, a family in chaos

Police were called many times over alleged violence

By age 5, Phoebe Jonchuck already had a significant history with Florida child protection authorities: Her father, they were told, was habitually violent with his domestic partners, and had been accused of “smacking” his daughter in the face. Phoebe’s mother, according to reports to the agency, was a meth user who had been charged with cruelty to another child in 2008.

A Tampa judge left to determine custody between them faced difficult choices.

The battle between John Nicholas Jonchuck and Michelle Kerr ended tragically early Thursday when Jonchuck tossed his 5-year-old daughter from a bridge approaching the iconic Sunshine Skyway, which spans Tampa Bay between St. Petersburg and Manatee County. Phoebe’s body was found by an Eckerd College dive team.

The report of Phoebe’s death to the state Department of Children & Families child abuse hotline was the sixth report the agency had received about the family in the past 2 1/2 years. Records of those contacts suggest little was done to ensure Phoebe’s safety since the first report was received at 9:51 p.m. on April 14, 2012.

Dad accused of throwing girl from bridge had police run-ins (Video)

Associated Press
By TAMARA LUSH

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — In her short life, 5-year-old Phoebe Jonchuck attended kindergarten, bounced from home to home and often witnessed her parents fighting and arguing.

~Snipped~

Phoebe lived with her father, and in the last day of her life, he made comments that frightened his lawyer so much she called authorities and frantically wondered aloud if she should have kept the girl at her office. He called his attorney "God" and asked her to translate a Bible in Swedish.

A short time later, a deputy questioned Jonchuck and found nothing wrong. Phoebe was smiling and happy.

Fast-forward 12 hours, during an unusually cold and windy night along the Gulf Coast, a police officer spotted Jonchuck speeding by in his car early Thursday, then the officer said he witnessed Jonchuck drop Phoebe.

~Snipped~

Phoebe's mother, Michelle Kerr, was with Jonchuck for six tumultuous years, and police were called numerous times. Since 2008, Jonchuck has been charged with domestic battery six times, but in every case, the charges were dropped or never pursued.

Kerr had an arrest record consisting of child neglect, petty theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, among other charges.

Well, that angry young male is no longer looking at petty crap.
He is going down for premeditated murder.
I hope they add abuse to the charges....
Stupid SOB.
I am sure country services gave him phone numbers to call if he ever needed support services...

Like too many little ones, she experienced too much grief in her young years. A perfect little girl who should have grown up in a home being nurtured and loved....Her face will stay with me. God bless her and comfort her in his loving arms.

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) - UPDATE: One of Ali Ali's roommates called his brother Hassan Elnour, a medical resident at the University of Mississippi, Tuesday morning. Ali's roommate told him Ali didn't come home last night and no one can get ahold of him.

His brother knew right away this was serious and says he isn't leaving Chattanooga until he gets some answers.

"He didn't use his bank account, he doesn't have money," said his brother Hassan Elnour, "He's on foot, it's really cold outside, he's new to the country, he doesn't know anybody. The only people he knows is like the four roommates he has here."

Elnour last spoke with his brother Sunday night. They talked about his upcoming semester at UTC.

Ali's roommate says Ali's priority is on his education and he's never missed a class.

"Monday was the first day of classes and he's missing on that day?" said Iyad Abdulmajeed, "This is very unusual."

Ali is an international student from Sudan studying electrical engineering. His bank account hasn't been touched since he paid his rent Sunday night.

On Monday, he met with an engineering professor around noon, and he's been missing ever since.

~Snipped~

Ali was last seen January 5, 2015 wearing a blue jacket, red Converse shoes and black eye glasses.

Ali is described as:
•Black male
•24 years old
•5'8” tall
•Weighing 150 pounds

UTC student missing since Monday

January 9th, 2015  |  By Will Healey

The last time Hassan Elnour spoke to his brother, Ali Ali, was Sunday night.

Ali needed to pay his rent and have enough money to register for classes the next morning.

The Sudanese brothers are in the United States to advance their educations. Elnour is a medical resident in urology at the University of Mississippi in Jackson. Ali came in August to pursue his master's degree in electrical engineering at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

As the elder brother, Elnour is in charge of the finances for both. He wanted to make sure Ali had enough to pay rent -- which bank records show he did Sunday night -- and to register for classes and live on. Ali, 24, spent the following morning registering and applying for an assistantship, and then he disappeared.

~Snipped~

HOW TO HELP

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525, or Hassan Elnour at 571-354-1609.

UPDATE:

Still no sign of missing UTC student

Will Healey
January 14th, 2015

More than a week after he disappeared, there still is no sign of missing UTC student Ali Ali.

The 24-year-old engineering master's student was last seen on UTC's campus Jan. 5, when he spent the morning applying for an assistantship. He last spoke to his brother, Hassan Elnour, the previous night about paying his rent. The rent payment remains the last activity in Ali's bank account.

Elnour arrived in Chattanooga the night of Jan. 6, and since then he and Ali's roommates have been searching tirelessly for him, checking hospitals and putting up posters with the help of local churches. Despite their efforts, their search has yielded frustratingly little information.

"Nothing," Elnour said. "No one has seen him."

Family and friends are searching for a Wayne State University student who hasn't been seen since early last Saturday when he disappeared after walking out of a Genesee County bar.

Friends last saw Ken Gruno, 27, about 1 a.m. outside the Otisville Hotel Bar, tipsy and needing some air. He left his coat and debit card inside. Otisville is a small village northeast of Flint.

He was wearing blue jeans, a gray flannel shirt with a vest and colorful bowtie and slip-on work boots when he disappeared. He is a white male, about 5 feet 11 inches and 175 pounds.

It was 46 degrees around the time Gruno disappeared, according to the National Weather Service's reading at Flint's Bishop International Airport.

OTISVILLE, MI -- Saturday's search for missing U.S. Air Force veteran and Wayne State University student Ken Gruno was cut short due to weather concerns, but community search crews plan to be back at it tomorrow morning.

~Snipped~

"It's frustrating because we don't have him back right now – I can't fix this," he said. "I like helping people, and it's hard because I can't help him. I can't find my best friend."

Palmatier said that Saturday night Gruno went missing was an unofficial Lakeville High School reunion at Otisville Hotel Bar.

"That's when everyone's home, because of the holidays, so there was a thing on Facebook telling people to meet up at the bar to have drinks and food and to just meet up and say hi," he said.

Palmatier said everyone was mingling, and before he knew it, Gruno was gone without warning.

"It was just a normal night at the bar. We were having a good time, and then the next thing I know, Ken is gone," he said.

Surveillance Footage Shows Missing Pittsburgh Nurse Paul Kochu

Dec 30, 2014, 9:27 AM ET

More ABC News Videos | ABC World News

Authorities are hopeful that newly discovered surveillance footage will offer clues into the Dec. 16 disappearance of a Pittsburgh nurse.

Paul Kochu, 22, vanished after a night out drinking with his roommates. When Kochu had too much to drink, he went home without them, his roommates said.

“He cut himself on broken glass or something, so we came home, helped clean that up,” Ben Monito said. “At the time, he was really emotional.”

The roommates, who are not suspected in Kochu’s disappearance, say they left to get food. When they returned, Kochu was gone, taking his wallet, keys and cellphone. His car was still parked outside.

Newly uncovered video footage captured that night by a neighbor’s surveillance camera shows Kochu stumbling through the streets with a white towel wrapped around his injured hand. Police said the video has resulted in some tips, and insight.

Kochu’s parents are offering a $20,000 reward leading to information on his whereabouts.

New information has been released in the search for missing 22-year-old South Coventry native, Paul Kochu.

Investigators in the case have released surveillance video of Paul Kochu walking only two blocks from his house near the South Side Giant Eagle in Pittsburgh at 2:46 a.m. The video shows Kochu holding a white cloth around his right hand and staggering across the street toward the 10th Street bridge. His family believes that Paul was suffering from an injury other than his hand, causing him to stagger. He was seen in the video wearing a dark jacket and dark sweatpants.

Although the video has not led to any further information on Kochu’s whereabouts, Jack Kochu, Paul’s father, believes that Paul may have been heading toward Duquesne University to see his cousin, who is currently living in the dormitories there. Based on the direction he was traveling in the video, his father also suggested that he was headed toward UPMC Mercy Hospital, which is also in the same direction.
