The FBI joined the search for a 14-year-old who is in "grave danger" after her father was found murdered in Texas, authorities said.

Adriana Coronado, of Katy, was feared missing early Monday after the body of Caesar Coronado was found burned on a rural Madisonville property.

The man's truck was also found burned about 50 miles away, in Conroe.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae told reporters that the girl may have witnessed her father's murder.

"We're working it as if she had been abducted," McRae said.

An Amber Alert was issued in Coronado's disappearance. Adriana is 5 feet tall and weighs 105 pounds. She has brown eyes and is known to wear black-framed glasses.

(CNN) — Texas authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a man they believe is connected to the disappearance of Adriana Coronado, 13, and the death of her father.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae on Thursday released two surveillance videos, including one that shows a man running from a burning pickup.

Earlier in the video, the Ford F-150 drives through the shot until it is parked just off camera. Then there appears to be a small explosion as the man runs away. In another video he jogs down a nearby alley and into a parking lot.

Police have said the burned body of Caesar Vladimir Coronado was found Sunday at a different scene than the truck, which was discovered just off Interstate 45 in Conroe.

Amber Alert: Still no sign of missing Katy girl



The search for a missing 14-year-old at the center of a local Amber Alert is ongoing.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for Adriana Coronado after she went missing last weekend.

Coronado’s father, Cesar, was found shot and burned in a rural field in Walker County. His car was also found burned and abandoned in Conroe. Detectives believe Adriana was with her father when he died.

The sheriff’s office released surveillance video Thursday that shows a Ford F-150 crew cab drive near Enterprise Row and Interstate 45 in Conroe around 10:20 p.m. Sunday. Six minutes after the truck drives off screen, a fire starts and a person can be seen running to a nearby alley. The sheriff’s office believes the man, who investigators are calling a person of interest, escaped in a dark-colored SUV.

Video of a man wanted for questioning has been released as part of the desperate search for a 14-year-old Texas girl who has been missing since the weekend, after her father was found murdered.

Adriana Coronado has been missing since around 1am on Saturday when she was last seen in Katy, but police stepped up rescue efforts after the body of father Caesar Vladimir Coronado was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds.

Coronado's burned remains were found on a rural property in eastern Texas near the town of Huntsville at around 1.30am on Monday in an apparent homicide, and investigators believe Adriana may have been with her father when he was killed.

On Thursday, authorities released video of a person of interest wanted in the case. taken from security camera near where Mr Coronado's burned-out car was found.

Missing Texas girl Adriana Coronado found dead, police say (Video)

(CNN) — The body of a girl found Wednesday afternoon in a field not far from a Texas freeway has been identified as Adriana Coronado, police in Houston said Friday.

Adriana, 13, had been the subject of an Amber Alert after her father was found dead Sunday.

A news release from police said the body was found on a road not far from the Sam Houston Parkway. According to CNN affiliate KTRK, Adriana's body was found by a gardener.

Authorities ID west Houston body as 14-year-old Adriana Coronado

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities say they have identified the body found in west Houston earlier this week as missing Katy teenager Adriana Coronado.

The 14-year-old disappeared last Saturday. An Amber Alert was issued early Monday morning.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae told Eyewitness News a bracelet found on the body was their first clue the remains might be the missing Mayde Creek High School student.

Friday night, shortly after the confirmation, family members gathered at her aunt's Katy-area home. Cries of grief could be heard every time someone opened the door. An uncle fought back tears as he arrived. Others said very little.


"She's my cousin, yes."

On Wednesday, a gardener found a decomposing body near Wycliffe and Mayfield in west Houston and called police. Investigators used fingerprints to identify Coronado. She had been shot multiple times.

MAGNOLIA, TX (KTRK) -- A man arrested on federal drug charges also had his home searched in connection to the horrific murders of a 14-year-old west Houston girl and her father.

Jose Jaime Solis, 34, is being held at the Federal Detention Center in downtown Houston as he awaits an initial court appearance on federal drugs charges. The United States Attorney's Office confirms those charges are related to a cocaine conspiracy.

Solis was arrested at his home in Magnolia in the pre-dawn hours Thursday. At the same time, a search warrant was executed related to the murders of Adriana Coronado and her father, Cesar Coronado. Eyewitness News was the only TV station there when authorities swarmed the home on Aberdeeen. A woman and children were also taken away.

Walker County Sheriff Clint McCrae confirmed Solis is a person of interest in the Coronado case. He also said investigators collected items of interest at the home, related to the homicide case. Officers carried out bags and bags of evidence, including guns.

Person of interest in Adriana Coronado's death appears before judge (Video)

HOUSTON - A person of interest in the death of 14-year-old Adriana Coronado appeared in federal court Friday morning.

Jose Solis was arrested Thursday on a federal drug charge, which is not related to the the teen's death or her father, Cesar Coronado.

A handcuffed Solis, 34, was escorted into the courthouse Friday by several U.S. marshals wearing bulletproof vests, less than 24 hours after agents raided his Magnolia home and confiscated property to be processed.

Several law enforcement agencies are investigating the teenager’s death and are looking at all possible motives, including illegal drug activity.

Solis and another man, Ramon Sanchez, are considered persons of interest in the case, and they have been linked to a drug trafficking ring.
