ORLANDO, Fla. -- Jurors in the murder trial against Casey Anthony found the defendant not guilty Tuesday.

The verdicts reached in the case were as follows:

First-Degree Murder: Not Guilty
Aggravated Child Abuse: Not Guilty
Aggravated Manslaughter: Not Guilty

Anthony was found guilty of the four lesser counts of providing false information to law enforcement. Legal experts said she will likely be sentenced to time already served.

Casey Found Not Guilty Of First-Degree Murder

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- In a case that became a national sensation on TV, Casey Anthony was acquitted Tuesday of murdering her 2-year-old daughter in what prosecutors portrayed as a cold-blooded attempt to free herself to party and be with her boyfriend.

Officials said Casey is back in the Orange County jail and remains in protective custody.

"As to the charge, first-degree murder, we the jury find the defendant not guilty," read the court clerk.

After a trial of a month and a half, the jury took less than 11 hours to find Casey not guilty of first-degree murder, aggravated manslaughter and aggravated child abuse. She was convicted of four counts of lying to investigators who were looking into the June 2008 disappearance of her daughter, Caylee Marie Anthony.

It looks like the jury fell down a rabbit hole and believed Bozo's fairy tale. I am sickened by this miscarriage of justice. All the money Florida taxpayers shelled out prosecuting and defending this case was a waste. A huge waste.

How did those 12 people determine that Casey Anthony was not guilty of murder and lesser charges related to Caylee's death. W e won't be hearing from the jury anytime soon they decided they would not address the media. Judge Belvin Perry even withheld their names from the public and now they are home in Pinellas County.

But one alternate juror, Russell Huekler, spoke to FOX 35.

Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton on national television this morning said that he was shocked and bitterly disappointed by the jury's decision to render not guilty verdicts on the major charges in the Casey Anthony case on Tuesday.

Ashton and other key figures who participated in the murder trial or were involved in the case dominated network television shows this morning.

"I think I mouthed the word 'Wow' five times," told NBC's Today Show host Matt Lauer about the moment when he heard the not guilty verdicts.

Ashton, who is retiring from the State Attorney's Office, said he and the prosecution team in the case had hoped the jury would be convinced of Casey Anthony's guilt once they saw photos of 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony's remains and the scene where she was found.

"This was a case where we honestly felt that if the jury saw what we saw," then the result would be a guilty verdict, Ashton said.

Even if you bought into the fantasies and fairy tales told by Baez and his team, how is it possible that the jury found her not guilty of aggravated child abuse? Meaning dumping the child's body in the swamp. I mean Casey and her defense team basically admitted that (while throwing GA in the mix). The jury found her guilty of less than her defense team admitted. What an injustice!!!

Okay, how does this alternate know what the twelve thought? I thought the alternates were removed from the deliberations. I thought they were not allowed to talk to one another.

Dear Caylee, I'm sorry you were killed by your own mom. I'm sorry your grandparents couldn't protect you. I don't know if you are in peace. But i hope the pain and fear is over for you at least. I can say that your case produced such advances in science, many new tools for justice in the future that your trial was not in vain. Thank you baby, you will forever be remembered and not only for your beauty and innocence- but for all the scientific advances that will no doubt help bring the truth and justice for the other victims to come.

I just can't accept this yet. Something was wrong with the jury. Did they simply wanna go home and misuse "reasonable doubt" as the easy way out?

You think Casey was a GOOD MOTHER!!!! What the hell were you thinking with? it certainly was not with your brain! To even make that comment proves to me your mind was made up before you took a seat on the jury. You certainly did not make that decision and comment based on fact.

I am shocked at the behavior of Sims and Cheney. Her jumping up and down like a twelve year old *child*, and Cheney flashing his *finger of appreciation* to the press. The policeman who was fired because he didn't search in Caylee's graveyard should feel so bad for his lack of professionalism. Jeff and Linda and staff worked so hard on Caylee's behalf. I hope that Casey is chased out of Florida, and that she in no way profits from her evil crime. She'll have to answer to God. Maybe Saint Peter will send her to the swamp in Hell. My porchlight shall go on again for Caylee tonight at 9 PM
as it did last night, and shall continue until Sunday night.

The alternate juror that's talking is a teacher. He said he didn't believe the body was ever in the car. How many people smelled decomposition, Casey even complained about it. The 31 days, the tattoo, the party pictures, the lies......they had their minds made up before going in for deliberations. They didn't come back with any questions at all. I am utterly disgusted.

Once in the jury room - did they not discuss the reason she was lying? They were trying to help find her "missing" baby!

You're so right Piper. What were they doing for six weeks? It's obvious they weren't paying attention to the evidence presented. I just don't get it. What were they thinking?

Now juror #3 has stated that she couldn't find Casey guilty because she was worried about the penalty.... "they were sick to their stomach"...

Casey Anthony juror Jennifer Ford said today that she and the other jurors cried and were "sick to our stomachs" after voting to acquit Casey Anthony of charges that she killed her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.

"I did not say she was innocent," said Ford, who had previously only been identified as juror number 3. "I just said there was not enough evidence. If you cannot prove what the crime was, you cannot determine what the punishment should be."

The jury's jaw dropping not guilty verdict shocked court observers, but it was also a difficult moment for the panel, Ford said in an exclusive interview with ABC News. No one from the jury was willing to come out and talk to the media in the hours after the verdict.

"Everyone wonders why we didn't speak to the media right away," Ford said. "It was because we were sick to our stomach to get that verdict. We were crying and not just the women. It was emotional and we weren't ready. We wanted to do it with integrity and not contribute to the sensationalism of the trial."

Is it true that HHJP can call a retrial if he finds that the jurors didn't follow his instructions?

Just got back in town and missed all that action...my 2 cents...

The jury did not deliberate for 10 hours....they hibernated for 10 hours AND had one more free lunch on the Florida tax payers. They didn't even need 10 hours. They knew before they went in there what they were going to do, IMO.

My question to the jurors....if Caylee drowned in the family pool then why was her backpack and doll still in the car? Those things were always taken into the house when Caylee got home from where ever she was. The fact that they were still in the car means she did not die at home.

STATE of FLORIDA'S MOTION to TAX SPECIAL COSTS
of INVESTIGATION and PROSECUTION and to RESERVE JURISDICTION

COMES NOW the State of Florida, by and through the undersigned Assistant State Attorney, pursuant to Florida Statute 938.27 and moves this Honorable Court to enter an order requiring the Defendant to pay reimbursement for the special costs of investigation and prosecution, above the minimum required by law, and reserve jurisdiction to set the specific amount of those costs.

1. Florida Statute 938.27(1) provides that in all criminal cases the costs of prosecution, including investigative costs by law enforcement agencies, shall be included and entered in the judgment rendered against a convicted person. A mandatory minimum amount is set at $100 per case for a felony and $50 per case for a misdemeanor or criminal traffic offense - but the statute also states that: "The court may set a higher amount upon a showing of sufficient proof of higher costs incurred F.S. 938.27(7)&(8).

2. The Sheriff of Orange County, Florida and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) Task Force incurred in this matter special cost of investigation expenses, above the minimum, for which proof is available, and specifically requests reimbursement for appropriate costs. The efforts and costs of the investigation were extensive and not immediately available and, accordingly, the State of Florida respectfully requests this Court to set a hearing within 60 days to determine total costs of investigation.

WHEREFORE, the State of Florida respectfully requests that, pursuant to the convictions (as defined by F.S. 938.27(1) to include a withholds of adjudication) of the defendant, this Honorable Court issue a Final Judgment that orders the defendant, Casey Marie Anthony, to reimburse the Sheriff of Orange County, Florida and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation (MBI) Task Force for the special costs of investigation and to enforce those costs by further orders or refer said costs of investigation to Collections Court for enforcement, as provided by law, pursuant to Florida Statute 938.27(2)(a)&(b), and to reserve jurisdiction to set the specific amount of those costs after future hearing, unless stipulated to by the parties.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that a true and correct copy of the foregoing Motion to Tax Special Costs of Investigation and Prosecution and Reserve Jurisdiction has been delivered to Jose A Baez, Counsel for Defendant, 522 Simpson Road, Kissimmee, FL.
