This story was on our local news Saturday night. This little 2 year old girl is a "superhero!" and a smart child.

It is nice to see a story about a small child that does not involve abuse or murder. This story has a very happy ending!

HOUSTON – A 2-year-old Houston girl is being credited with saving her mother’s life after using a cell phone to call for help when she collapsed.

On Thursday, Larissa Taylor fell next to her 8-month-old daughter’s bed and was lying in a way that stopped her from breathing.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- She is only two years old, but a Harris County girl is being hailed a hero.

Lia Vega's mom fell right in front of her, and the toddler is credited with saving her mother's life.

Little Lia likes to play house and sing, but it's her vocabulary that is getting her all the attention at at their Highlands home.

"Mommy fell down on the floor and mommy fell down," Lia said.
