Victim 4 was 12 years old when singled out He was assulted more than 50 times. Both oral and anal. Was going to be sent home on one of out of town trips if he did not participate. He is now 27. This happened between Oct 96 and Dec 2000. He was a fixture at the Sandusky house and spent the night.

I haven't seen/read the witnesses' list. I am no sure if Sandusky's wife is going to testify, or if the prosecution or the defense are going to call her to the stand.

In states that in a criminal proceeding, neither a husband nor wife is permitted to testify to confidential communications made by one to the other unless the privilege is waived. As with all rules, exceptions exist. Where a spouse seeks to avoid testifying about facts that he or she observed, where the case involves certain kinds of domestic violence, and now, at least in one Court, when the case involves child abuse, the privilege is not applicable.

Notably, Pennsylvania was one of only seven U.S. jurisdictions that had not repealed the communications privilege in all child abuse cases".

I can't verify this anywhere - but seem to remember that quite some time ago ...one boy said that Sandusky took him to the basement at his home...he knew that Dottie was upstairs and he yelled out for help. There was no reply and no help.

Some of the accusers have maintained social ties with the Sandusky family per Amendola. Going out to dinner and other social activities. Some of the victims were asked to testify for the defense.

FYI - Sara Ganim tweeted that Dottie & matt left before the opening statements when the Judge sequestered the witnesses, so I don't think she was in the courtroom to hear the accusation that she witnessed...

They wish!! There is no way this got more coverage than the Caylee case! Maybe in State College & surrounding communities, but that is expected - there is no comparison betweent these cases!

Ok I have to comment on this one - Thanks Willow for keeping us updated!! - - -

Children who have been manipulated & abused (emotionally, physically, sexually, etc) likely don't have the ability to push away their abusers. I am not a bit surprised to hear that some of these boys maintained contact with the Sandusky family, I actually expect it from some of them. The level of abuse they endured over several years would have distorted their "normal". JS manipulated them and the effects of that manipulation don't stop when the kid turns 17, it stays with them for live - that is why they are VICTIMS!

I actually have a question.....they are showing photos of the vics as young boys. Are they showing photos of JS as he looked back then? Look at him now....he is a doddering old man, back then he was a young, virile man. I think it would make a difference to the jurors.

Defense said that this encounter never happened. He may have been in shower but nothing every happened???? Relates to juror #3.

I don't think it would make a difference, one of his victims is now 27 years old, Sandusky is 68 years old, he is still 41 years older that the alleged victim. According to the accuser, he was 12 years old when the sexual abuse began, Sandusky was 53 years old at the time that the abuse took place. It doesn't change the fact that a minor child was sexually abused by an older man.

If anything, the "doddering old man appearence" might work in his favor, a juror might feel sorry for "the dirty old man".

Alessandra, that is my point. The jury looks at him as an older man now, when in actuality he was a young, healthy man at the time of the offenses. I think the jury should she what he looked like then. And I agree about the age differences, but I think it would have more impact to see a little boy and a man in the "prime of his life", not the person they see before them today.

That is a great observation! The prosecution should show the jurors pictures of Sandusky from the time the alleged abuse took place.

Victim 8 is the victim seen by 2 janitors. Only one can testify other has dementia.

This was the one where janitor Jim Calhoun (?) saw two feet in the shower. Then saw JS pin boy against the wall and perform oral sex. He asked who to file report with. He did tell people immediately. No report filed. Can't find victim 8. Important that he reported it immediately. He was a war vet and this affected him greatly. Said probably not be allowed because it is heresay now.

I think I threw up a little. :/

IS said victim #4 was not emotional but when asked if he liked going to games and Penn State activies he gave a little smile. He loved and adored the opportunity to receive the gifts he was given.

Thanks. I really want to know how anyone can put an innocent spin on it. He's basically confessing to what he did and declaring his love/caring. Seriously. Sick.

This is much sicker than I thought. I expected it to be bad but I didn't expect it to be this bad.

Ditto. I knew it would be graphic, but I didn't expect to react like I am - it's just so sickening. I wish the reporters would give more details about how JS is reacting to what is being said - I know the witness testimony is important but it's just too gross to read & imagine. If only there could be a camera on JS (like the KC cam) with no audio, I'd love to see him try to squirm as the whole world realizes what he did to these kids.

Good, that's what it should be. If even a fraction of what he's been accused of is true, Sandusky is a sick, sick, sick freak(and I'd use other language but I don't want to get into trouble).

so this is a little different, Dottie was probably in denial & may not have realized what she walked in on.... but the testimony is that she ALMOST saw, not that she saw him being abused.
