In less than a month, Casey Anthony will be forced to answer questions that have been a mystery since her daughter went missing in 2008, attorney Matt Morgan confirmed Thursday.

"Casey Anthony will not be permitted to plead the Fifth as her appeals have now been resolved," said Morgan, attorney for Zenaida Gonzalez, who has filed suit against Anthony. "We look forward to getting answers to the questions we have had for a very long time."

The deposition scheduled for Oct. 9 in Tampa is related to Gonzalez's defamation lawsuit.

TAMPA — During a tense hearing in federal bankruptcy court on Thursday, a judge delayed ruling on whether Casey Anthony will be forced to answer the questions of a woman suing her for defamation.

May responded with frustration at the two sides' lack of communication and progress: "I don't want to hear about what hasn't been done…Let's go…I want to hear how we can move forward."

The judge said he will wait to deal with the deposition issue until after he decides whether or not to toss Gonzalez's complaint next month.

"We don't need to set a deposition if I do dismiss," he said.

Casey Anthony settles with Texas EquuSearch

" ... In a settlement filed Friday, EquuSearch agrees to drop its complaint. Anthony agrees to allow EquuSearch to claim $75,000 as a creditor.

However, it appears unlikely EquuSearch will get much, if any, of that money. EquuSearch attorney Marc Wites acknowledged Monday that Chapter 7 creditors "usually receive very little money, if anything."

The group may get a portion of whatever Anthony's bankruptcy trustee can find in her estate, but the rest of the $75,000 debt is now set to be wiped away when her bankruptcy concludes.

Anthony's January bankruptcy filing listed more than $792,000 in debt, and less than $1,100 in assets. The settlement does not require Anthony to admit liability.

In a press release, EquuSearch said the decision to settle came "after considerable thought."

"While many have debated whether Casey Anthony will ever financially profit from Caylee's death, one thing is certain; the time and money that [EquuSearch] must spend to pursue these claims are being taken from other families that really need their help," said EquuSearch lawyers Wites & Kapetan, P.A. and Meland Russin & Budwick, P.A...."

Casey Anthony bankruptcy judge: Lawsuits can move forward
 
TAMPA -- The legal fight over Casey Anthony's bankruptcy will continue, after a judge on Tuesday ruled that a pair of complaints filed by people suing her for defamation can move forward in federal court.
 
It was a defeat for Anthony, who now faces a deposition by attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez, though Gonzalez's lawyers said in court that they've agreed not to publish the deposition or reveal its time or location.

Thank Goodness!! It's about time.

If the Sunshine laws hold true for any crime, law suit or what have you the press can make a motion to have access to FCA's deposition. A motion can also be filed for a gag order as well. Right?
And at this point FCA has no criminal charges pending against her so I don't think she can invoke her 5th amendment rights in a civil trial.
Just my opinion.

I see that George and Cindy are in foreclosure again! They have not paid the lenders since 2011.
How do they get away with this?

I guess they figure if KC can get away with murder, they can get away with anything!

Judge K. Rodney May signed an order Tuesday discharging Anthony of most of what she owes except for taxes and debts related to student loans or criminal fines, if she has them.
