Casey doesn't seem to be smirking as much as usual. You would think the word "death band" would evoke some response from her.

Trutv just interviewed the new lawyer, Jennifer Barringer, apparently she said in the interview that she felt sorry for Baez.......hope someone can find that interview.

What would seal the deal for me would be if the dog jumped into the trunk and alerted there...However I don't doubt that the dog was accurate...The nose knows...

And there was more than one dog on the Anthony property that alerted.........

You're right Piper...I think Bozo is trying to get out that the dog handlers were the only witnesses to the dog alerts in the back yard...Like if a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it did it really happen...He's trying to question the veracity of the dog handlers...

Also, if the dog was on a leash who's to say that the handler didn't give some sort of unspoken command to the dog to alert...Much like neck reighning a horse...

Baez looks so smug at times as he is questioning this Canadian expert...

Had a doctors appointment today so I only got to watch for a little while. Every time I see that sick biotch scribbling on the paper...I want to just reach out & smack her upside her head!

Casey Anthony In Court For Hearings On DNA, K-9 Search

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony was back in court Wednesday, less than seven weeks from the scheduled start of her murder trial. During three days of hearings, defense attorneys will try to get scientific evidence thrown out, claiming it's not reliable technology.

Lawyers spent all day arguing over scientific evidence, including a hair that was found in the trunk of Casey's car and the cadaver dogs that searched for Caylee's body.

Casey Anthony walked into the court room around 9:00am Wednesday wearing a low-cut pink blouse and dark slacks, with her haired pulled back into a bun (images | video).

The first motion to be heard involved the defense request to have post-mortem banding evidence be excluded as unreliable (read it). Karen Korsberg Lowe, an FBI expert in forensics, was the first to testify on behalf of the prosecution, who believes the evidence should be admissible.

The defense was having a tough day in court. The defense started off trying to keep out its own confidential expert's research, which actually validates the hair evidence the defense wants thrown out as "junk science".

WFTV was the first to report the dark, parallel banding that can indicate hair came from a dead body early in the case. That banding was on one of Caylee's hairs found in Casey's trunk.

The defense tried to challenge the FBI investigators who found the banding. Defense attorney Dorothy Sims asked Lowe whether a hair from a live person could develop dark spots after exposure to water, soil or enzymes.

Casey Anthony going back to court for more arguments over evidence

Orlando, FL – Casey Anthony may be back in Court as soon as next Thursday morning. She’ll be there for a full day next Friday and again on Saturday morning. Those hearings are to continue arguments over motions from the defense. They include:

Motion to Exclude Evidence of the Stain in the Car Trunk
Motion for Spoliation of Evidence to Exclude all References to the Smell of the Pontiac Sunfire
Motion to Preclude Phantom "Heart Sticker" Evidence

On Thursday, Judge Belvin Perry may also hear motions related to two witnesses the Defense added to their list last week. Casey Anthony’s attorneys want Dr. Jeffrey Danzinger and William Weitz, Ph.D to testify about Casey’s state of mind and her consciousness of guilt. That testimony may be via video conference.

Judge Perry has also set aside the week of April 18 to handle anything else that comes up before the murder trial begins jury selection on May 9.

Well that was short and sweet...Both sides agreed to let the witnesses in, so no argument today...His Honor did let both sides know that if there were no conclusions on Saturday they would be working on Sunday...No skin off his chin !!!! He also said he's not going to Tallahassee April 25th, so that day is open for him...Guess we will have to wait for tomorrow to see fireworks...9 AM...Set your alarms!!!!

Casey Anthony Attends Hearing On Witnesses

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Casey Anthony was in court for a hearing Thursday morning. The hearing was to discuss a defense motion regarding witnesses (read it).


Rare for a Casey Anthony hearing, it was over in around 20 minutes.

"The good news is, for the most part, I'm advised the state doesn't have objections," defense attorney J. Cheney Mason told Judge Belvin Perry.

I think the state is to depose these witnesses and then decide if they have any objections to them...It's a waiting game....(I didn't read or check above link, so I may be redundant)

Well, I guess Judge Perry changed his mind about continuing tomorrow...Looks like he's scheduled it for next Wednesday,Thursday and Friday if need be...I understand things got HOT this AM...Will have to go back and watch to catch up...

Baez is sleazy! Doing a defense full of web weaving like this will not ingratiate the jury. Already they may be uncomfortable or in disbelief because Baez thought they needed a break.

Well....What can I say??? I guess "Reality TV" has taken over the courts..By that I mean that Baez has made his debut...Oh, I know he's been on TV before but not acting like he did today...Absolutely preposterous!!!! Does anyone other than myself see the litigation which can ensue from his opening statement ??? No doubt Mr. Lippman is preparing a case as we enjoy the antics of our favorite (not) defender...and I betcha Roy Kronk's attorney isn't just sitting around twiddling his thumbs...I can't wait to see what follows in this case...

Unfortunately, defamation can happen in a court of law when used for the sake of creating reasonable doubt. I hope the law changes on this, especially where court proceedings are broadcast for the viewing public.

Now, if only Tim Miller could recoup the monies spent on looking for a live caylee now that we hear she "drowned accidently".

KC (and GA IF you believe the duhfense) could now be charged with FRAUD. they (by they i mean KC) perpetrated a lie, not only on the general public, but also on several organizations that cost them a LOT of $$$$.

SOOO, IF the defense is now openly admitting that caylee was dead on june 16th, all the organizations, public and private donors to "find caylee" now have an actionable case against KC both civil AND criminal for the fraud committed.

dont know what the sentence is for fraud in florida, but here in good ol WV you can get sentenced to MANY (3-5) for EACH count (depending on the $ amount)... that may just add up to another life sentence for KC... lol.

Heehee! The investigation has not yet been closed and there's a reason for it! Maybe there's a fraud trial coming up!
Only it will involve Casey and, perhaps, Cindy (I think the FBI wants a piece of her for misleading their investigation).

I just think there will be more to watch once this trial and the ZFG trial is over.

I would say "yes" although her lawyer will point out it was a drowning whether the criminal case outcome agrees with that or not.
