I just hope the HM stays "for sell" until Val feels comfortable enough to start it back up again. I can't imagine anyone thinking they can fill those shoes. Val is one of a kind in my opinion

instead of clicking on the title of the thread you want to see, go to the right, click on the little box behind the last posters name and it will take you to the last post. You can always scroll up and read other posts. Hope this helps you guys.

I oin't think the blog is for sale (it is probably proprietary information) I think it's the name that is for sale. That is sad because it means that Val is not likely to start it back up after she has some time to process the difficulties in her life.

Click "Profile" button (there on top)

and then, when there, click on "Avatar" button (you'll see it there)

Hello, I too am an "old" Hinky - so, I've kept my old avi in case anyone remembers me. Unfortunatly, after the Caylee trial, I didn't visit there very often, but did periodically check in from time to time. I'm glad to be here!

FYI Val has posted over in Niecey's blog that she acted so quickly she wasn't thinking about all the information on the site. She said that she has contacted GoDaddy and the info is still there. She intends to get a less expensive site to transfer all the info and it will be a read-only site. That is just a synopsis, go to Niecey's site for the her exact quote.

Thank you Tesstruhart for that information. I went into a minor panic mode when I came home Thursday evening from a friend's house and couldn't connect to THM. I didn't post much there, but sure learned a lot from reading and also miss Val very much. I hope she can find some peace and acceptance with her circumstances.

I was really shocked when I first realized the site was shut down, and concerned. Although I never posted anything I was concerned. I realize now that what Val did was really a joke on us, all the time we spent investing our energy into these cases are lost! I am sure they will be ... you can almost Copy and then Paste "anything" ...

If in some places "Copy" is not allowed (when you try to Copy with your mouse) .. one can always use Ctrl + C
instead .. and the same thing if "Paste" is not allowed .. - one can always use Ctrl + V

Very often one can succeed with those :)

If you are reading...hope you take care of yourself and recharge. Don't let others drain you of your energy. It simply is not worth it, family or not. This is YOUR one and only life and you need to live it for you.

Now as for your site, for selfish reasons we all wish you would come back at some point when you feel ready.

But if it's not an option, I don't think you should sell it. It is YOUR site. It is your baby, you created and you should keep it. Park it somewhere cheap, as read only, stick some ads on there and enjoy a little residual income every month, no one doubts you have earned it.

And then you always have the option to resurrect it someday. But don't sell it.

Darkman, seeing as Val pretty much posted the same thing at Niecey's as what you posted originally last night, I suppose your repost is fine. But understand where I am coming from. You are brand new here, I don't know you, and you post late at night what seems to be a very private message from Val, in light of the whole THM shut down, and the original message is not readily available at THM, the whole thing just seemd kind of off, and in need of further review by somebody higher up at this site. But as I said seeing that Val reposted the same thing, then it seems fine. Whether something gets posted here or not, is not up to me. It does not need my review, it would need the review of the owners, FystyAngel or Justice4all, both of whom have been really busy lately, and may not be readily available at a moments notice here. Hopefully that will change in the future, and they'll both be back on to iron out any bumps that may naturally arise out of a large group of new people, joining a site all at once. I too came over here in a group of posters, not one as large, but still a group, so I know what it's like.
And again, you and all the new people should feel welcome here, and I hope you all do feel that way.

There NEVER was anything ugly said about Trayvon or his family! NOTHING! "bettyellen" contacted/emailed Valhall claiming "Trayvon's family was being bashed!" Valhall made a total of 3 comments, 2 were to "bettyellen." She clearly was not happy!

Valhall said: "NO ONE was bashing the family, that because other's have a different viewpoint than bettyellen's, THEY were not bashing the family." She too stated that a "select few were being picked on because they didn't agree with bettyellen & some other's. !" She challenged "bettyellen to prove it" & continued to state, "she didn't think she could!" As always, Val was exactly correct. I could tell by Val's comment she was unhappy, but it was addressed to "bettyellen."

Valhall continued addressing bettyellen in a second comment & issued a 2nd challenge to her "to prove it," stating again, "she didn't think she could." In Val's 2nd comment she explained "that the Anthony's were INDEED Victim's, they loved Caylee, they too were victim's. For those that thought the family obstructed Justice, they did it to try to save their daughter, that they were sick & twisted facing losing KC in addition to Caylee, but they had NOTHING to do w/Caylee's murder & were indeed victim's."

Valhall stated she had "seen some of the same people claiming other's were bashing Trayvon CLAIM George & Cindy didn't love Caylee." Outrageous, Valhall was correct in everything she said! She was clearly unhappy & i have never seen Valhall CALL OUT a blogger for their behavior as she did in the response to the complaint she received.

A new blogger from Canada wrote a long comment critizing Val, a nutjob imo, ranting about blah, blah, blah, accusing Val of this or that. In true form, Val basically told her to F Off & defended herself. imo, no one can ever claim that Valhall was unfair, she even wrote a series of articles about looking at a situation from all sides, considering all the angles.

OldHippie, that is the reason Val wrote 3 comments, they weren't meltdowns but aggravation at the absurdity of the accusations imo.

If anyone is interested, there's an avatar gallery on RC. Click Profile at the top, then Avatar, then at the bottom click Show Gallery. You can choose one of those or make your own using a google image. Just copy the url line and paste it into the second box on the Avatar page I mentioned above.

I wasn't actively posting, but I did receive the tweet notifying us of the Mother's Day post. By then, there wasn't any way to look back. I've been enlightened greatly by reading here and at Niecey's blog (heck, she's the only reason I found RC!).

I don't know if I'll ever be the same. THM changed me, as a protector and a mother, and as a fellow human being, for the better.

I feel like I've lost a mother figure on Mother's Day weekend. At least in my world, anyway (crazy as that may sound), and that's not something that I'll get over anytime soon. But I believe we learned well from her and I have the strength in here somewhere. I just have to pick up the pieces first (and I haven't found them all yet).

Wow! There are so many former Hinksters here!

Welcome to all! I hope you like it here. If you need help in navigating this site, please ask. Once you "learn your way around," I think you will love this site.

I know it is not The Hinky Meter and we do not have our beloved Valhall as our fearless leader but at least we can reconnect and be together.

I had never posted in a Forum when I joined Reality Chatter in 2010 and I was "lost" in these halls for weeks! lol

I remember how "lost" (even though there were many that helped me) I felt when I first joined here and I hope the little info about how to navigate this site that I post on this thread will be helpful to you.

When Val switched to the Forum, it was a piece of cake for me because I learned my way around here. All of you are use to a forum site. You'll be zipping all over the place before you know it . . . if you aren't already doing so.

There are now 10 pages! I have not been able to be here a great part of the day. I will go through all of the pages and see who is all here.

ecossie possie, I see you made it here! So glad to see you and all of the Hinksters!

You mentioned in your above comment that your comments were not showing up. Are all of your comments showing up now?
