SATSUMA, Fla. -- We are getting a new look at Haleigh Cummings. Action News obtained an age progression photo of Haleigh, showing what she might look like now, at the age of 9.

This weekend marks a dark anniversary for Haleigh's family. Every day for four years, they've wondered what really happened to the little girl. And the sad truth is, it's still one big mystery. And her family worries Haleigh will be forgotten.

Haleigh's family is holding a vigil for Haleigh this weekend. It starts at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, at Annette Sykes home in Satsuma.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- Haleigh Cummings' great-grandmother has a room dedicated to the missing girl.

"She never leaves my mind," said Annette Sykes as she pointed to Christmas presents she still buys for Haleigh, hoping to give them to her one day.

"It's been four years since she's been gone," Sykes cried.

Hardy said Haleigh's case is still an active investigation, but people involved have to come forward.

"There are people who know what happened out there," Hardy said, "and unfortunately, they're not talking. I would've thought by now some of the situations and some of the places where the individuals are at now -- like state prison -- would be some incentive for them to talk. But they haven't reached out to me. Let's put it this way."

First Coast News' Jessica Clark asked him if he was referring to Haleigh's father and her babysitter, and Hardy responded, "Certainly. Certainly."

I, too, think of this poor little girl often. It's so sad that there are still no answers.

Sadly, I don't think that Haleigh's age has progressed since the day she went missing. I hate to be pessimistic but its more likely that Haleigh is an angel in Heaven.

Where's Haleigh? After 4 years, investigation remains open

It has been four years since Haleigh Cummings was reported missing. In Putnam County and elsewhere, investigators are still chasing leads, an official with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said.

Sheriff's office spokesman Sgt. Hancel Woods said although the volume of leads in the case has declined, detectives investigating the case still examine each bit of information and act on those leads that have merit.

"This is still an active investigation and we have people that are actively working the case," he said.

"The tips and leads aren't flooding in anymore but we still do get them and follow up on them."

Blogger News covered the story of the missing child from Satsuma, Florida from the beginning. 5 year old HaLeigh Cummings seems to have just disappeared off the face of the earth on February 10, 2009 and no one can tell what happened to her. It appears that she was taken as she was sleeping while her little brother and her then babysitter slept on the bed nearby, yet no one knows where she went or who took her.

There were battles everywhere over who knows what in this case. Innocent people suffered one way or another while the ongoing case was being investigated, yet still no one would admit knowing anything about where little HaLeigh was.

An age-progression photo of what missing Florida girl Haleigh Cummings might look like today is being circulated on the fourth anniversary of her disappearance.

Family members will gather Sunday in rural Putnam County for a vigil for Haleigh, who was 5 when she vanished from her father's doublewide trailer in Satsuma sometime between Feb. 9 and Feb. 10, 2009.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children recently released a photo of Haleigh as an 8-year-old.

Haleigh "is most likely deceased," Putnam County Sheriff Jeff Hardy said in 2010. Relatives and many others, though, think she might be alive.

Authorities have repeatedly said Haleigh's former stepmother, Misty Croslin, as the person who holds the answers to the disappearance.

Haleigh was a beautiful little girl and the age progression photo shows that she would have been a beautiful 9-year old. I guess repeating over and over again that life isn't fair won't bring her back ... but it isn't fair that innocent and defenceless children are so easily disposed of .

SATSUMA, Fla. -- Hope continues in a Satsuma community four years after Haleigh Cummings disappeared. A vigil was held Sunday as a reminder that little Haleigh is missing but never forgotten.

Candles were lit, one by one, in hopes of shedding light on Haleigh Cummings' whereabouts. Four years after five -year-old Haleigh disappeared, a Florida community is still searching for answers.

Annette Sykes, Haleigh's great-grandmother, hosted the vigil to remember her. Haleigh was a kindergartner and her family says her favorite colors were purple and pink when she went missing.

SATSUMA, Fla. -- It's been four years since anyone has seen little Haleigh's smile, but for her family it feels like an eternity. "I can't believe we are here again," said her grandmother, Teresa Neves.

Neighbors held each other tight as they joined Haleigh's family for a vigil Sunday in her honor. Surrounded by letters, toys and gifts she never received, they lit candles hoping one day Haleigh will get those items.

"There is not a day that goes by that I don't miss Haleigh and wonder who took her," said Neves.

Haleigh deserves to be brought home. Her family deserves closure. At least some of the people I believe are responsible are in jail, maybe not for what they did to Haleigh, but it is something. More than we can say about Miss Ant Pants.
