Kinda rubs me the wrong way... Very Happy but every time she is talking about the sex with TA she gives a little smile... she is being afforded the opportunity to relive those moments... and she is not being called on it!!

watch when the Pro... asks her about "not being able to stay away from TA sexually" and her response to the question about her being TA's cryptonite!

I think by saying she's TA's kryptonite it shows that she had control over him. She made him weak that he couldn't fight back against her sexual advances... At least that's what I take away from that statement...

Here’s another interesting post from Matt McCartney - detailing his 2 year relationship with Jodi – originally posted Jan 3rd 2013:

Court Minutes doc #1 – 5-24-2011 ——- Court Minutes doc #2 – 5-25-2011

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

“Take a look at her permanently deformed hand, where he broke her finger in one of his many angry outbursts.

Q. Why wasn’t it set?
A. She didn’t go to the hospital that’s why. She was protecting him.

Q. Why didn’t she go to the hospital???
A. Because a report would be made that could lead back to him and he knew it.
Jodi is an artist. Her hands are a critical element in her life. Not only is she a photographer, she is also a painter.

I personally witnessed the purple finger shaped bruises on her neck. She originally claimed was from a seat belt. Later, after much debate, she admitted they were from him. She assured me that: “He is a good man” and “He didn’t mean it”.

In one of our many conversations, I asked her why she wouldn’t “Just leave him.”
She said: “I can’t leave him, you don’t understand, I’ve tried. He wont let me!” She refused to elaborate.

I was Jodi’s boyfriend for around two years and in that time, she wouldn’t so much as squish a bug. I caught her on many occasions, fishing bugs out of the tub, so they wouldn’t get washed down the drain. She had this crazy neurotic cat, that would flip out and attack her for no reason and she didn’t so much as swat it. Jodi is NOT a violent person!

When we ended our relationship, I was living and working at a distance. During that period, I began spending time with a colleague. One of my douche bag coworkers decided to “inform” her. There was lots of crying, many talks and a few letters. She was NEVER VIOLENT in any way. We remained friends and since then, she had a few other relationships ending with Travis. I personally know the man she was with before Travis. He and Jodi maintained a friendly relationship after they parted. He also had NO issues with violence. So why now? What changed?

Before Jodi was arrested we would talk on a regular basis. I am one of her longest lasting friends and former lovers. I could be a important character witness. At one point, I asked Jodi to leave me out of this situation, so as not draw attention to myself or my new family and since then, she has.

Her life is on the line. She could get the death penalty. Yet she’s made it a point not to involve me.

Why? Because I asked her not to….

That is the kind of person Jodi is!”

Yes, this is the same one that we've seen---on that 'Jodi is Innocent' site. I am not aware of any other. Someone here said they didn't even think the guy really said this. I don't know. He is SUPPOSEDLY on the DEFENSE witness list, but Juan keeps bringing him up, and at one point asked Jodi "What if I told you Matt had no idea of what you were talking about it?..." Seemed like he was going to say more, but then said "Never mind now", and went on.

I don't think Matt would have been brought up unless he was going to help the prosecution case somehow.

Perhaps he never actually said the above. This site for Jodi's innocence sounds like a bunch of clueless whackos to me.

MAYBE Jodi did try to get Matt to help her by forging documents and/or perjuring himself on her behalf at some point, and maybe the state got wind of it and brought him in for a sit-down, and gave him the facts on what could happen to HIM, and by extension, his family.

MAYBE he actually DID lie for Jodi, and was stupid enough to help her forge something, but again, if so, and if the state had a talk with him about the consequences to him for such actions, there is every reason to believe that we will be seeing Matt, and NOT singing for the defense.

Are we to assume that because of this and because of yesterday, court will now start a bit earlier than 10:30? That would be nice. What's with that anyway? I know the judge has 'stuff', but this is a high profile trial and the jurors have lives too. I am sure they want to get home sometime this century.

HLN said court was to resume at 12 pm today. I heard Nurmi request to be done by 4:30pm.

NOON!!???NOW WHAT? What the heck is going on? This is ridiculous.
Sigh... Noon there is 2 PM here.
Is noon supposed to be AFTER their lunch now, or will we see one hour of Jodi on cross and then a break, only to be followed by at most, 2 hours more of actual cross? This is so ridiculous!

LOL! Does he have his head up his exit?

Jodi CONFESSED to plotting a MURDER, CARRYING OUT the murder, DESTROYING EVIDENCE of a murder, LYING at ALL levels re the murder, SNOOPING on TRAVIS, BOBBY, MATT, and I am sure many others! She attempted WITNESS TAMPERING. And you, Matt, PROMISED TO LIE FOR HER on her social media page!!! So what ever YOU say is CRAP, too!

Found it interesting. Every one of these guys has had anal sex with Jodi. Doesn't she realize MOST guys aren't into a steady diet of that ? I wondered if she wanted anal sex so she did NOT have to look at her partner during intimacy?

Agreed, and Jodi was the aggressor and teacher in that relationship it shows in her body language and face when she is recalling their encounters.. She has such flat affect for most of the questioning then the little bursts of the snickering (smile) and watch for the little brief line she gets between her eyebrows (momentary) when she lies (no one can control that... taught to some LE as an indicator)

I think it is her fantasy to be degraded.. look how she attempted to have the blond bombshell look... blond bust enhanced... she brought the "lubricant to facilitate" not TA ... her fantasy not his!! JMOO

Does she have a problem with her memory?
He is dead.
At her hands.
And has been for ALMOST 5 years now!

...I have seen a lot of her touching the side of her neck as well... Facial expression of straight mouth and hooded, half open eyes looking straight ahead changes dramatically when she talks about how wonderful Travis was!
She starts out turning to look at jury when answering each question. Later on, when she is confronted time after time with her 'lies' and 'memory problems' I notice she is no longer perkily turning to look at the jury when responding!

Re Matt---Guys, at the time those magazines with the code were found and confiscated the state HAD to have followed up on it! There is no way they would not have found out WHO the recipient was supposed to have been---(Ann Campbell must have been questioned as to who she was to give them to!), and when they learned who it was, Matt MUST have been hauled in for questioning! This is too big and explosive an issue for it NOT to have been thoroughly investigated!
I reiterate; Matt must have confessed that he lied for/or helped Jodi at some point, and must have come clean and decided to cooperate with the prosecution or face charges!

Well, I thought it was funny she felt like a prostitute after giving a bj, and then she invites him to "jizz" on her face. Hello????

welcome MyLife. I'm sure you will have a great time here on this board. People are knowledgeable and fun.
As to JA, I just can't believe how calmly and emotionless she talks about the most intimate of details. She is starring in her own 'porn movie'. I think she is probably think who she would like to play her in the inevitable made for TV movie on lifetime. She is attractive physically but so ugly in every other way. Disgust is what I think most are feeling.

So Jodi has a migraine headache?
Gee.
Travis had an end-of-life headache when you blasted him with the .25.
You know, like the one your grandparent's reported stolen?

Since Jodi reported attempting an overdose on her buck a pop commissary aspirin, is she allowed to take any aspirin now?

Oh yeah! This I am more than familiar with! I make all my own 18thc. hats for reenacting, and often have a bow, flower, etc., "perkily" pinned to them---even, (gasp)---ostrich feathers on occasion, lol!

Someone on this site posted this link last week. Wish I could remember who and give credit where it's due. This blog is an entertaining (albeit, the sad subject matter of Travis' murder) recap of each trial day. Make sure you scroll down the page and read Jodi's Dear Diary Posts (by Justice11).

...A little more insight into the victim in this case...(Hoping for justice for Travis and that Jodi does NOT have a life to enjoy...)

(Here is a kind of telling and now in hindsight, sad excerpt from Travis' blog---His own words:

"...Around then I realized it was time to adjust my priorities and date with marriage in mind. Not to ask some one on a date because I planned on marrying them, but to date someone to look for the possibility of marriage with them. This type of dating to me is like a very long job interview and can be exponentially more mentally taxing. Desperately trying to find out if my date has an axe murderer penned up inside of her and knowing she is wondering the same thing about me. That’s usually when I think myself into a panic and start acting weird in consequence to trying so hard to act normal..."

Travis wrote the above just about 3 weeks before he was murdered.

Just saw the bit where Juan got J. to admit to learning WHO T. planned to go to Cancun with at his memorial service. (He is dead and this is his service, and she is there snooping to try and find out who the woman was who he had planned to take to Cancun! Even after his murder, she is obsessed!)
Juan then asked her if she cared that she was not the one he invited, and she says she did not (HUGE LIE). He got her to reiterate this again. Then he dropped it and moved on.
I believe that was done for a reason. I think we are going to hear from possibly several witnesses during rebuttal that will testify that Jodi was very upset that Travis was taking someone else to Cancun.

Devil's advocate...What if this jury pulls a 'Pinellas 12' and finds her guilty of Murder in the second degree only?
I can't imagine it, but what will people do? I know I literally cried when Casey Anthony was acquitted. The outrage against this crime and the hatred for Jodi is so strong with almost everyone, but after that Florida jury, all my faith and belief in the system we have was completely shattered.
I know that if this were a man who murdered a woman, and the circumstances were the same, he would summarily be found guilty of murder one. I know that.
I am just so afraid after what happened when those morons let the murderer of her own little baby walk away free because of their own laziness, ignorance, and indifference.

I think we all have that little fear deep down. The village idiot's have scarred many people with their need to get out for 4th of July parties. I think with the focus on this trial, and also the knowledge of the Pinellas 12, they will at least give the testimonies and information due consideration. That is what I want. If, it is a second degree after due diligence then I guess we will have to accept it. If they diliberate for 4 hours and acquit then I am done forever with trials.

Me too. That is a possibility...that they might buy her 'abused woman' defense and acquit her!

ok... I'm confused... they don't have court on fridays... So we're down to 4 days a week. We don't start till 10:30 and now he wants to end at a drop dead time of 4:30... So 6 hours of court time, minus what almost 2 hours of breaks/lunches? We will be here forever! I suffer from migraines alot, have an Rx for them and everything... So we're suppose to shave an hour + off the day because she could potentially have a headache? Weird how it's a "drop dead" time of 430, what does the all you can eat buffet end at 5?

I followed the OJ trial every day, every news story.
Tossed the kids out for school and put the coffee pot on.
Daily. I knew the names, I knew every detail.
And I was STUNNED at the crap that was pulled!
So I hate on the Kardashians now...

I followed the senate hearings on Ollie North and later on Bill Clinton. (I actually remember trying NOT to follow the Nixon hearings!!!) So many good cases juries have tossed away.

Anyone following the Kelly Thomas case in SoCa?

So. This morning I decided to braid my hair in two long plaits. LOL! Got news: I don't look like any school girl here... No Darn. Maybe I will look better with my eyes wide open. drunken

Nurmi eating

I get migraines, too. Not as bad as my dau.
Her eyes are light sensitive.
Stay off the sugar, get lots of rest, and don't kill anyone!
With migraines, I want to kill anyone who even thinks!!!
It is too much noise for my brain to process someone else thinking...
Go figure.

Yeah, I was just doing math in my head. I figure Juan is going to cross today and tomorrow. Maybe he will finish up with her by end of day tomorrow. Then we have the treat of Nurmi redirecting her starting possibly Monday. Now we are into March. At the rate he goes, who the hell knows how many days he'll drag that out! Then a re-re-cross by Martinez---That will be short and sweet.
Back to the REST of the defense case! Those so-called domestic violence experts, and who knows who else!!!??
And Juan has to cross examine every one of them!

I figure we have at least 2 weeks more of this damn case BEFORE THE PROSECUTION'S REBUTTAL!
The rebuttal may take a day or two, but Nurmi will probably cross examine those witnesses as well in slow motion!
After that we have the closing arguments---Normally one full day for each.
The judge then will have to give the 'jury instructions' before the jury FINALLY goes to deliberate!
Who knows how many more times court may be postponed or delayed during all this as well...

I am hoping it is OVER and with a verdict by EASTER---March 31st.
Sigh...

Oh, and by the way, there was an error by someone earlier about how long this trial has been going on already...TODAY IS DAY 49!!!!! (Oy vey)
Double sigh....

I was supposed to be on a jury this past Jan. but had important plans for something and was able to postpone it. I now will have to appear this coming July to see if I am chosen for some jury. (I am past 50---that's all I am telling, and this is the first time I have gotten a summons for jury duty.)
We live in a fairly rural area, so I imagine whatever case it would be would be pretty darn boring.
At least these jurors have something they will never forget, lol! (Bet at least one will want to write a book or capitalize some other way when it's all over...kind of smarmy...)

If I had it to do over again, I now know I would have liked to be a prosecutor for the state. I will not try and get out of jury duty---will be happy to serve and do my best. I am sure whatever it would be, it would be a great eye-opening learning experience!
