I blame the mother for part of this. How could she raise her daughter to be exploited by the modeling industry? How did she not know her husband was molesting her daughter? Did they live in a big mansion where the daughter's bedroom was on the next floor in the west wing! Come on...

Wednesday’s Search Yields Possible Clues, But No Answers Yet In Disappearance
K-9’s from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office were brought into Lawrence County today after articles of clothing were found on a field road off Lawrence 500. The K-9 teams were requested by Sheriff Dotson and the Equusearch team. The area of interest was on the Black River next to the county road.
Members of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team, Pocahontas Fire Department Dive Team and David Rader of Texas Equusearch launched boats at the Black Rock boat ramp and proceeded down river. According to the K-9 handlers, the dogs demonstrated positive signs in the area adjacent to the same area that clothing articles were found on Tuesday evening.
The Pocahontas Dive Team ran sonar through the area but were not able to locate anything. The positive hits by the K-9’s is not proof positive of a person being in the river, but each lead has to be followed up on and ruled out before searchers move on.

WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) - The search for 14-year-old Sidney Nicole Randall continued on Thursday, with a Sonar team searching on Black River.
Some clothing was found along the river banks of the Black River, but Lawrence County Sheriff Jody Dotson said none have been positively identified as belonging to Sidney.
Dennis Watters and his crew started looking on Black River early Thursday morning. After no signs of anything the crew packed up and headed back to the Community Center.
Search Coordinator, David Rader decided to postpone the search for the rest of the day due to expected bad weather. The search team also went ahead and called off the search for Friday.

Re: Sidney Randall, 14, Missing Since March 9, 2013 -- Walnut Ridge, AR
Why is the story different now? Denise's husband comes home and asks why are you up and the mom states "Sidney's missing." Then he says BS and he is going to the police to report it? That is so different from the stry where she said he came home without Sidney and she asked where's her daughter and then told him as he was getting in his truck. I.m calling the police! From day one I looked at this Mom andshe is pushing her daughter to be beautiful and she is not that attractive. There have been allegations of sexual abuse and the mom had to know "something was going on". You feel your husband get out of the bed and look at the clock and listen where he's going... come on! She may have been jealous of Sidney and needed to get rid of her... It just all does not add up!

The Walnut Ridge Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office are planning a volunteer search for 14-year-old Sidney Randall on Saturday, March 30.

He also encourages searchers with all-terrain vehicles to bring them. “They will come in very handy throughout the day,” Dotson said.
The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Dive Team will also be out searching bodies of water. Dotson said “Any searcher with a small boat is welcome to bring their boat and will be assigned to an area of water.”
Sheriff Dotson also asks that everyone share this information.
“We need as many people as we can get for this search,” he said.

WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT)- The search for missing 14-year-old Sidney Randall continues Saturday with a record number of volunteers.
Nearly 200 volunteers came out Saturday to help in the search for Sidney Randall, who went missing earlier this month in Walnut Ridge. Police officials have been searching Lawrence County trying to find any clues to assist in the search.
Dive Team Coordinator Buddy Williams said he is grateful for the large number of volunteers.
"We need the volunteers because we got quite a bit of farm ground to cover and quite a bit of the river to cover," he said
"We are searching an area of ground that runs from Portia to Clover Bend, it's the county roads that we call the five hundreds, it's just an area of interest we don't have any new updates on the case."

Investigators Still Baffled In Missing 14 Year Old Sidney Randall Case
– April 22, 2013
Posted in: Featured, Lawrence County Sheriff, News & Events
As the case of missing 14 year old Sidney Randall enters the 44th day still many questions remain as investigators from the Walnut Ridge Police Department, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police continue to examine leads in the case.
The Walnut Ridge Police Department and Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office continue to follow up on every lead, tip and scrap of information looking for a break in the case. Although volunteer searches have been suspended with the vast majority of the county being searched, officers from both departments continue to follow up on additional leads.
With basically no indication of direction in the case, any and all tips by phone or email has been priority with both departments. Last week officers traveled out in the county several times and followed up on leads with no results. Sheriff Dotson’s boat has been put into service weekly traveling the waterways throughout the county in hopes of catching a glimpse of any clue that may be out there.

WALNUT RIDGE, AR (KAIT) - It's been seven weeks since a missing Walnut Ridge teen's disappearance rocked the small, Lawrence County town.
Though organized search efforts have wound down, the search hasn't stopped for Sidney Randall and many have not given up hope.
"I still get up every morning at 5 o'clock and just sit at the kitchen table, look down the hallway waiting for her to come out," Sidney's mother, Denise Cornell told Region 8 News.
She said these past seven weeks have been like a nightmare she can't wake up from.
"Not knowing where she's at...if she's okay. It's just the not knowing that hurts," she said.

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (KTHV) -- It's been nearly two months and still no sign of Sidney Randall. The 14-year-old girl disappeared from her home in Walnut Ridge March 9. Two days later, police found her step-father, John Cornell, dead off a county road and initially believed he shot himself. But, his family says that is not possible.
The Cornell family said rumors have swarmed their small town, painting their son and brother as an abusive father and ultimately a murderer. The Cornells said the rumors are lies, and John Cornell would never take his own life much less the life of his step-daughter.
~Snipped~
Police are still waiting on John Cornell's autopsy results and said his death has yet to be ruled a suicide or homicide. They believe those results will give them clues on where to go next.
John Cornell's wife Denise, Sidney Randall's mother, still believes her husband had something to do with her daughter's disappearance.

WALNUT RIDGE (AP) - An autopsy report says a 14-year-old Walnut Ridge girl found dead in the Black River died of blows to the head with a heavy object.
The report released by Arkansas State Police says Sidney Randall was hit more than once in head and that her DNA was found under the fingernails of her now-dead stepfather - John Cornell.
State Police Sgt. Scott Pillow told The Jonesboro Sun that all evidence points to Cornell as the killer.
Randall was last seen alive March 9. Her mother awoke to find Randall and Cornell missing from their home. Cornell arrived shortly afterward and told his wife he would file a police report.
