The day-long search for a missing 12-year-old Gwinnett County girl ended at dark Monday. But Kelsie Lee was still missing 12 hours after her disappearance, police said.
“We’ve done everything we could possibly do at this point,” Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Edwin Ritter said. “The search of the immediate area is coming to an end.”
Kelsie was reported missing from her Peachtree Corners home around 8:45 a.m. when her mother returned from taking a sibling to school, police said. Another sibling reported that Kelsie had gone outside to take out the trash, but never returned. She never arrived at school.
