I think the author may have misspoken; I couldn't find any proof that he gave up his license, but I believe he gave up his practice back in NJ after he was sanctioned for unethical behavior.

Hi everyone!
I am just checking in. Just have to let off a little steam as far as my opinion on the delays in the sentencing phase of Jodi's trial. I think it's shameful and a travesty, and I have no respect for JSS at this point. I think that the longer this is allowed to be postponed, the more likely it is that the heinousness of Hodi's actions will fade from public consciousness, and also send the message to her and her attorneys that they can manipulate the system with their continual games.
I also think this is hugely, grossly, shockingly unfair to the memory of Travis Alexander, and to his already beleaguered, grief-stricken, and financially stressed family. SHE HAS ALREADY BEEN FOUND GUILTY OF MURDER ONE WITH CRUELTY, and I strongly feel the time has come for this judge to at long last crack down on her and on JA and KN, and call an unequivocal halt to the shenanigans of the defendant and her team.
I have seen updates on a few other high profile trials, and none of them have this crap going on, and all these ridiculous delays!!!
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
The defense will drag this out until kingdom come if some saner heads do not prevail, for God's sake!
I wonder if there is ANYTHING the prosecutor's office and office of the state's attorney can do at this point to insist this proceed forthwith.

Arias announced August 5, on a Twitter account that has been tied to her, she has launched a book club with a website that showcases her reviews of books she has read in jail.

This isn't Arias' first online sojourn since her arrest. She also reportedly sells her artwork through a website run by a friend.

The site dedicated to her book club features her reviews of such classics as "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee.

From other sources: JA's atty, Nurmi, is asking the cameras NOT be in the court for the remainder of the trial. For some reason, I believe this is because JA does NOT want the camera to record her in the orange jail outfit, with chains a clanking and her hands restrained. Might be because she has her own security team. lol We will see what is determined on Monday.

Defense attorneys for convicted killer Jodi Arias filed a motion Tuesday asking that her retrial for sentencing be moved to another venue because of the notorious publicity surrounding the case.

Arias’ defense team said research indicates that 70 percent of the media coverage in Arizona of the first trial took place in Maricopa County. Her attorneys also want live TV coverage prohibited for the retrial.

It seems like the defence team is trying to find out who is communicating with JA to see if they can get someone to testify on her behalf...maybe The Hodi is not being forthcoming.

Maybe they want to show that Hodi is a nightmare client who has continually disregards her counsel's advice throughout the trial and to present. It could be that they are still looking to be excused from her loser case. Wilmott, and especially Nurmi, were constantly frustrated throughout the trial with JA for all of her stunts.

I think the tapes of all her calls would be very interesting to listen to. Imagine, if you will, the stark contrast that must exist in these recordings. Hodi's attitude and the degree of victimhood that she attempts to slather herself in likely vary tremendously depending on who she is talking to. Just one of several guesses...

So, yes, should be most interesting.

Jodi Arias' Attorneys Want 2nd Jury Sequestered

PHOENIX — Jodi Arias' lawyers are asking a judge to sequester the jury in her second trial to shield the panel from the intense publicity that enveloped her first trial, which ended with a murder conviction but without a sentence.

While the judge has yet to set a new trial date, Arias' attorneys filed a motion this week seeking to have the new panel sequestered "to ensure that the jury is not exposed to community and/or media influence."

The motion filed Thursday cites thousands of television news shows and newspaper articles about Arias throughout her roughly five-month trial, as well as a recent Lifetime movie about the case that attorneys said attracted 3.1 million viewers.

"This integrity is in the most danger of being compromised when the process is contaminated by outside influences," the attorneys wrote. "Given what took place in the last trial and the propensity for history to repeat itself, it is certainly beyond legitimate dispute that the threat to the integrity of the retrial is severe."

Prosecutors have not yet filed a response.

In defending their request Jodi Arias' defense attorneys said that during the first Jodi Arias trial, an alternate juror was caught posting on Facebook about Jodi Arias' temper. Judge Sherry Stephens gave Jodi Arias jurors explicit instructions prohibiting them from commenting about the Jodi Arias trial on social media.

On May 14, Tara Kelley, Juror No. 17, wrote in the comment, “If she [Arias] does have Latina blood, it may explain a temper lol."

Jodi Arias’s lawyers also claimed that Kelley was caught tweeting with criminal defense attorney Mike Eiglarsh. Eiglarsh appeared on HLN a number of times. Jodi Arias' defense calls him a "member of the media." Appearing on HLN, Kelley denied Jodi Arias’ attorneys' claims that she was commenting about the Jodi Arias trial online.

Jodi Arias will sit down in a settlement conference with prosecutors on Oct. 24, according to her case calendar on the Maricopa County Superior Court website.

Arias’ defense attorneys have not said what they will be talking about.

“The Court asked if the parties would be willing to discuss a potential settlement,” said Maricopa County Attorney spokesman Jerry Cobb. “Consistent with what the County Attorney has said all along, the State is always willing to discuss possible resolutions to the case. Neither side has presented an outline of an agreement or an official position to the Court.”

Cobb said the conference will be made in front of retired Maricopa County Superior Court Judge James Keppel.

Settlement conferences are usually handled by a judge other than the one who presides over the case.

But neither side has very much in the way of bargaining power.
